GiftedOLSAT- achievement test

High Achievement- based on two consecutive years of test scores in language arts and math

Specific Academic- based on three consecutive years in either language arts or math

Intellectual- Only category to test for highly gifted eligibility

administered in 2014-2015

Decision on eligibility will be determined at a later date

In previous years a “4” in language arts and math for all three reporting periods was important

Talented Performing ArtsPerforming Arts

Talent assessment areas include: dance, drama, and voice. It is accomplished through a District-wide audition in the performing arts at a demonstration site.

Talented Visual ArtsVisual Arts

Talent assessment areas include: drawing and painting and consists of portfolio evaluation of student artwork and a District-wide demonstration of student drawings at the demonstration site.

Leadership AbilityStudents who show confidence and knowledge;

influence others effectively; have problem-solving and decision making skills; express ideas in oral or written form clearly; show sense of purpose and direction.
