PARISH SYMPATHY Our prayers are requested for John Stasik whose Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 30 and Betty Burke, whose Mass will be on Tuesday, July 31. May the Risen Christ embrace him in His eternal love and peace, and give His comfort and consolation to John’s family and friends. Our parish sympathy is extended to them in their loss.

The GIFT CERTIFICATES that support Holy Rosary School and other diocesan schools may be purchased in the Rectory according to the summer schedule: Wednesday, August 8, from 4:00-5:00 pm.

HELP WANTED – High school, college, and adult volunteers of all ages are requested as volunteers for our Religious Education Program to work as teacher’s aides, door monitors, and helpers with the program. This is an excellent way to gain service hours, or to share your love of our Lord and his holy Church. Please call Tara Kucharski, Coordinator, 570-309-8514, or call the rectory.

FIRST FRIDAY of the month occurs this week. Home visits with Holy Communion will be made according to the usual schedule and telephone calls will be made to set up convenient times for the visit.

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN SOMETHING??? FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PICTURES are available for pick-up in the Parish Office during ordinary hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

MISSIONARY APPEAL NEXT WEEKEND Next weekend, August 3-4, Rev. Michael Davitti, s.x., Director of the “Interfaith dialogue project” for the Xaverian Community of Wayne, NJ and the Rector of the community, will speak to our parishioners at all the Masses. Archbishop Guido Maria Conforti, a Bishop whose heart embraced the World, fulfilled his life-long dream to serve the mission of the Church by founding the Xaverian Missionaries in 1895. The Xaverian Missionaries have built churches, seminaries, schools and hosptials because of the help given by fellow Christians in the United States. You too can share in these mission efforts through your prayers and your financial aid. Our second collection next weekend will be for the missionary collection. If you wish to give to the ordinary first weekend Care & Education of Priests Collection, please use your envelope provided in your packet. Please be generous to Father Michael on August 4-5.
