B.A.- WERE GOING GLOBAL!
How the time hasflown!!! Can it be?The end of our firsthalf? But
yes, aswe look backnostalgically, werealize that whatthey all say
is true-time really does flywhen yourehaving fun!!! Weare having
aBLAST here inBA smiles,ruach, cheer areever-present andincreasing
by the
day! We had areally packedweek, beginningwithMonday- We didnot
know what hi

us? What is a cantata, anyway?We have only today to prepare!But
those doubts were sooncalmed as we got to work- 5 th and6th grade
as our drama, 3rd and4th grade as our choir, and 1st and2nd as our
songdance! Thanks toour most amazing CITs for theirdelicious
Israeli salad!! Do I seefuture balabustes in the making?(Well give
them a few moreyears) After a few intensehours of practice,
preparation,gathering costumes and props,we were ready Lights,
camera,action! Adorable Yerushalayimperformance by our 1st and
2ndgrade! Our cantata featured afamily, the Ben- Shimonis,
duringthe time of the second BeisHamikdash. We watched as the
family went up to Yerushalayim tobring bikkurim, and heard
astunning rendition of Omdos HayuRaglenu by our choir. Wewatched as
another time the Ben-Shimonis went up to Yerushalayimto bring a
korban, but this time,there were Roman soldiers who
stopped them and the cantatawent on to depict the ChurbanBayis
Sheni we really got ataste of Tisha Bav, the cantatawas a real
inspiration to us all,thanks again to our talented casWe hope you
all had an easy anmeaningful fast.Wednesday- The day started oflike
any other but wait- whatsthat? A modeh ani train? So eain the
morning? We were off to great start Modeh Ani aerobicin shuir hits
the spot! Go kartswas a hit! And finally We weroff to a trip, a
great, fantastic trito HI SPOT!!! Yes, thats righBowling was a
ball! Competitiowason whos gonna win???Everyone did great-strikes
andspares were a
Shiur with Bassy Ungar!!!

NEWS FLASH!!!
A counselor, NechamRibiat, was spotted
sleeping on the bus!
Campers were shocke
to discover that yes
counselors sleep too
commonality among our BA-ers theballs were flying! We concluded
our daywith a painty, messy, CRAZY main activityarranged by none
other than our veryCITs!!! The scavenger hunt was
awesome! Yasher Koach!!!Thursday- Brr I thought it was
supposedto be in the high nineties I even broughtan extra water
bottle! But turns out itsbelow zero, and the head counselors
arebundled up in hats, scarves and glovesand BA Airways has
officially made astopover in the North Pole! Welcome all!We hope
you enjoy your stay Thursdaywas a ton of fun! Back to swimming-
wesplashed right in! Baking activitycomprised of delicious snowman
making-
made from cookies, icing, and candyeyes, noses, mouths, and
hands andfeet YUM!!! We were having a shiveryday trying to adjust
to our new climatewhen suddenly, we heard music comingthrough the
windows- what can it be?WHATS IT GONNA BE??? ISCREAM, YOU SCREAM,
WE ALLSCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!!! A real,live ice cream truck came to
visit us in BA!
A WORD FROM OURSHIUR COUNSELOR:
This week we learned about many different things in
shiur. We started out learning about Tisha Baav, and about
how
having Ahavas Yisroel can help to bring Moshaich. I hope
everyone had an easy and meaningful fast! After Tisha Baav,
we
earned about the two bed brachos- Modeh Ani, and we
realized how grateful we are for every working function in
our
body- and how every morning Hashem returns everything to us
once more! Aerobics sure helped with that! We then learned
about Shema, and we all made Kriyas Shema cards to take
home.

We licked those ice creams! Thank you, Mr. Ice Cream forvisiting
us with your truck!!! We had an amazing day!!! (Formore on the 5th-
8th grade camping trip, look further.)
Friday- The camping trip was AMAZING! Westaggered back into camp
on Friday, more asleepthan awake, but we fought our fatigue so we
could
enjoy our very last day of first half!!! It began withshiur on
Parshas VEschanan- for details, see below.Challa-la-la-la-lala,
Challah-la-la-la!!!! Challahbaking with Bassy IS GEVALDIG! Oy, yoy,
yoy,
yoy (Our trademark BA cheer- have your daughterdemonstrate!)
They came out beautiful, as usual! Shabbosparty was a smashing hit,
as we enjoyed a performance bynone other than our CITs!!! Great job
everyone!Dear Bnos Achdus,We had an AMAZING week- thanks for being
the BEST!Keep on being the great, spectacular, gevaldig,ruachdik,
spunky, special, awesome BA campers that
you all are!!! We love you so much, looking forward tothe
surprises in store for next week!
