quality basic education, insufficient job trainings)
(b) Policy evaluation of government interventions (such as minimum wage changes in the
Andean region, the special regime for micro and small enterprises in Peru)
(c) Contribution to a flagship on productivity (evaluating empirically the effect of contract
labor choice—fixed term vs permanent—on firm productivity in Peru, Colombia, and
Ecuador)
(d) Review of papers and draft reports in the Department, contributing in the dialogue with
the policy makers of the region

Distribution (I2D2) data set, a globally harmonized database created by the World Bank that
draws on more than 600 nationally representative household surveys)
