Fellow GK Builder,
Since super typhoon Juan unleashed its fury, there has been an
urgent need to help the families
affected in the provinces devastated. Taking on the challenge of
Kalinga sa Bayan, Gawad Kalinga is
organizing a massive relief and rehabilitation efforts in the
North Luzon provinces especially to our
affected GK communities in the province of Isabela.
GK OPERATION KALINGA SA BAYAN:Laban kay Juan, Para kay Juan is a
mobilization campaign to
bring volunteers to Tumauini, Isabela to rebuild and
rehabilitate GK communities and nearby areas in
one of the areas greatly affected by the super typhoon. From
October 27 to 31, 2010, our volunteers will
work on cleaning and clearing operations and re-roofing,
re-painting and landscaping of our GK houses
and infrastructures. Schedule is as follows:
October 26, 2010 6PM, Departure from MLA
Meeting place: Pure Gold Shaw Blvd (for the 1st 200)
October 27-30, 2010
Build activities, interaction with families, sessions,
fellowships, etc
October 31, 2010 9AM, Departure to MLA
Drop off point: Cubao, Quezon City
We would like to invite you in this exciting five day event of
rebuilding homes and hopes for our Isabela
typhoon victims. Register your group (fifteen members) including
your team members name to our

(MLA-ISA-MLA) will be provided for the first 200 individuals who
will confirm. Attached is the copy ofour build mechanics. Hope you
can join us in this exciting five days build. The power of many

MECHANICS
Location:
- Build site: KL Tumauini GK Village, Brgy. Arcon, Tumauini,
Isabela- Camp site (Accommodation): Camp Samal (BSP Camp site),
Brgy. Arcon, Tumauini, Isabela1. Each team is asked to bring the
following:
a. Food for the duration of the build
(Preorder meals are available: breakfast, lunch and dinner;
confirm your order with Secretariat)
b. Cooking and Eating Utensils
c. Tents and sleeping bags, flashlight with extra batteries,
lamp
d. Clothes, toiletries, raincoat or jacket, and necessary
medicines per individual
e. Pails and Tabo (for the bath area)
f. First aid kit per group
g. Documentation (digital camera and/or video camera)*h.

LANDSCAPING ROOFING PAINTING
i. Pick or Piko vi. Leveling tool xi.Paint roller
ii. Shovel or Pala vii. Electric drill with bits xii. paint
brush and tray

v. 1 Pair hand gloves per member
2. The following will be provided on-site:a. Male/Female toilets
and bathing stalls
b. Area to set up tents
c. Cooking area , first Aid and primary care facilities
d. Water Station (mineral water will be for sale)
e. Food stalls (for food order: breakfast, lunch and dinner,
please confirm to Secretariat)
f. Security in the area
g. One (1) Build marshal per team
h. All Other Construction Materials (wood, GI sheets, paint,
gardening materials, etc)
3. Important Notes:a. THERES NO ELECTRICITY IN TUMAUINI. Please
let your parents and guardian contact these numbers

b. For North and Central Luzon participants, please coordinate
with Secretariat regarding transportation. Wewill assign pick up
points where the bus from Manila will pass by. Only CONFIRMED
participants will be
allowed to get inside.
