Guidelines for School Decision Making
COVID-19 BurdenThe number of COVID-19 cases in a
14-day period computed as a rate per 100,000 population, which allows for comparison between communities.
Percent Positivity The percent of COVID-19 tests
conducted during a time period that were resulted as positive. Multiple
public health sources indicate that 5% or lower is ideal for permitting schools
to meet in person.

● Critical Case rate is greater than 350 ● High Case rate is greater than 100 but
less than or equal to 350.● Moderately High Case rate is greater
than 50, but less than or equal to 100. ● Moderate Case rate is greater than 10,
but less than or equal to 50. ● Low Case rate is less than or equal to
10.
