transform lives.  GLISI is looking for a full‐time Program Director to join 

a hard‐working non‐profit team that gets up in the 

morning to help Georgia schools get better by 

developing great leaders. With a staff of ten full‐time 

professionals and an annual budget of $3.3m, our 

Program Director will join a team of outstanding 

professionals to deliver our growing portfolio of 

leadership development and consulting contracts. In 

this role, this high‐energy and experienced leader will: 

Develop, support and deliver GLISI’s full suite 

of leadership development services 

Provide technical assistance to an array of 

GLISI clients 

Coach aspiring leaders, assistant principals, 

principals and district office leaders 

Prepare, deliver, and follow‐up superior 

quality professional learning experiences 

including presentation materials, handouts 

and reference materials 

 

Your Skills  Ability to engage audiences through strong 

interpersonal skills and effective adult learning strategies 

Facility with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and innovative online tools to support development and delivery of adult learning experiences 

Superior coaching capacity using strengths‐based approach 

Strong verbal and written communication ability  Ability to work in a distributed environment  Previous experience as a principal or district 

leader required  Advanced degree in educational leadership 

strongly preferred

GLISI Program Director Overview: The GLISI Program Director develops, supports, and delivers GLISI’s full suite of educational leadership development services. The Program Director has responsibility for consulting, technical assistance, professional learning, coaching and school improvement both as a developer and as a provider to an array of GLISI clients. The suite of responsibilities are focused on developing aspiring leaders and assistant principals, supporting principal growth as strong instructional and organizational leaders, and improving district office leaders as they support principals and schools. This position reports to and closely collaborates with the Chief of Staff to ensure leadership development consulting and coaching services align with GLISI’s strategic direction, and are executed at the highest level of professional quality and effectiveness. The GLISI Program Director marries deep expertise in district and school leadership with a track record of success in leading adult learning, leadership coaching and a superior facility with a range of technology and productivity tools for delivering adult learning. Rationale: GLISI has expanded its suite of products and services that help districts develop world-class education leaders. In addition to a robust flagship face-to-face training program, GLISI provides leadership development custom consulting and coaching solutions to individual districts responding to their unique needs. GLISI’s program team requires a highly capable collaborator to assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of GLISI’s leadership development consulting and coaching services. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement leadership development consulting and coaching services that achieve GLISI’s strategic direction

• Diagnose district, school, and leader needs using observations and probing questions • Craft mission-aligned solutions to address those needs • Design and develop effective high quality adult learning experiences from

conceptualization to delivery including all print and instructional materials • Plan and execute all aspects of leadership development consulting services using an

outcomes-focused approach to ensure services achieve measurable intended outcomes • Manage budget and project plans for each client scope of work • Supervise and collaborate with GLISI consultants as needed to augment consulting and

coaching services • Utilize evaluation data for continuous improvement • Nurture relationship with district partners

• Experience in effectively driving projects from conceptualization to execution • Expert skills in facilitating adult learning

• Knowledge of educational leadership and nuanced insight into common barriers to superior practice of district and school leaders

• Confidence in effectively coaching school and district leaders to change their practice • Proficiency in integration of technology to support and deliver effective adult learning

Expectations: • Travel to districts up to 12 days per month • Support teams at Base Camp and Leadership Summit requiring overnight travel for up to

12 nights from September to February • Participate in weekly and quarterly team meetings • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as needed
