Features of Globalization 1.One of the main features of globalization has been the growth of multinational companies.

These are companies that have branches, subsidiaries, and plants in many countries.

As a result these companies have greater flexibility and access to resources than companies that operate in only one country.

2. Another feature of globalization is the reduction and/or elimination of trade barriers between countries and regions. Agreements such as NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) try to reduce the barriers for trade between Canada, United States and Mexico.

3. Globalization has also helped spread ideas, scientific advances and new technologies throughout the world.

Medical advancement is based on the sharing of ideas and techniques from around the world. The spread of diseases from one country to the next can be reduced as information is shared quickly.
