nursing regulation or treatment Nurses' use of valid and reliable measures to continuously meet their patients' particularized self-care requisites in order to keep their functioning and development within ranges compatible with life and with normal functioning and deVelopment; it also includes use of measures to ensure that patients' developed or potential powers of self-care agency are protected and the exercise or development of self-care agency regulated.
