The End of the World

We are living in uncertain

times. Many today are looking

at the condition of our nation-

and our world-and wondering

what’s going to

happen next.

There is never a

shortage of theories

about the end of

the world. Perhaps

the most spectacu-

lar for this year sur-

rounds the end of

the Mayan calen-

dar. Theories come and go and

every time one fails people

become more desensitized to

the truth about the end.

This is not the case for Chris-

tians though. We have long

known that the Bible is the

only reliable source for facts

about the end of the world.

The Bible holds hundreds of

prophecies many of

which enlighten us

about the end and

passages such as

Matthew 24 and

Luke 21 reveal to us

that the end is near.

Satan’s purpose is

to deceive everyone

he possibly can, so

how can we be ready for the

GLOW For The Youth

Just last week seven year old

Kimberly saw something that

caught her attention. Kimberly

attends a daycare program

owned by Elena M. who hap-

pens to be a GLOW leader for

the local Seventh-day Adventist

church. Kimberly observed

Elena sorting through some

“2012 and the End of the

World” GLOW tracts. Having

heard about the Mayan calen-

dar Kimberly asked Elena how

long she had to live. Elena re-

sponded that the world was not

going to end as predicted by the

Mayan calendar. Kimberly re-

ceived a GLOW tract from Elena

and then asked her for some

more for her friends, teachers

and Spanish speaking relatives.

Elena gave her twenty English

tracts plus several Spanish

tracts. To top it of, when Kim-

berly’s mother picked her up

from daycare she noticed the

GLOW tracts and asked Elena

about them. Kimberly’s mother

confessed that she also was

concerned about the 2012 pre-

diction. Finally she asked Elena

about her beliefs and then ac-

cepted Elena’s invitation to at-

tend church that weekend.

“Let all be fully prepared to disseminate the light by word and by

pamphlet. There should be hundreds of little tracts scattered as the

leaves of autumn”– 19MR 378.3

GLOW Crosses Boundaries

GLOW recently received the following email from the Netherlands: Today Alieke and I went to a Bible study at an in-ternational evangelical church in Cyprus. We thought this would be a good opportunity to share our faith and some Eng-lish GLOW tracts. We didn't know what the beliefs of the church were but we prayed for a good study and an opportu-nity to share our beliefs. We were totally surprised by the topic of the study which was the second coming and how to prepare for it. This couldn't be a coinci-dence as we had brought a lot of GLOW tracts on the end of the world. After the study the group was dis-cussing how difficult evangelism can be.

At that moment we intro-duced our GLOW tracts to the group as a means of evangelism. They were very excited about them.

The leader of the group who was from the UK and would be returning there soon took most of our GLOW tracts with him. Another man wanted to spread them in another city on the is-land where he is leading a church. This Sunday the evangelical church will present GLOW to their pastor.

This evening we lost all our GLOW tracts! Let’s pray for these and other sincere Christians and for their attempts in spreading

GLOW tracts.
