Celebrang All the Saints of Our Lives on November 5th & 6th (All Saints Sunday) We are going to combine our celebraons of All SoulsDay and All SaintsDay into All Saints Sunday! In the Anglican Communion, All Souls' Day is known liturgically as the Commemoraon of All Faithful Departed, and is an oponal observance seen as "an extension of All Saints' Day", the second day of what is known as Allhallowde, All Saints' Eve (Halloween), All Saints' Day,(All Hallows') and All Souls' Day. Dr. Patricia Bays, with regard to the Anglican view of All Souls' Day, wrote that, All Souls Day is a me when we parcularly remember those who have died. The prayers appointed for that day remind us that we are joined with the Communion of Saints, that great group of Chrisans who have finished their earthly life and with who we share the hope of resurrecon from the dead.” As such, Anglican par- ishes "now commemorate all the faithful departed in the context of the All Saints' Day celebraon.So I invite everyone to bring in pictures of the saints of your life (I will contribute my mom and dad) and we will arrange them on the altar to celebrate them on both Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, Novem- ber 6 for All Saints Sunday! Coming Up! First Solemn Communion! This is a class for young children who are ready to learn more about the Eucharist. The class will meet October 16, 23, 30 & November 6 with a retreat on Saturday, November 12 and our First Solemn Communion celebration will be on Sunday, No- vember 13 during church. Please bring bag lunches on class days. Talk to Mother Susan if you’re interested. If you desire to receive the wine you may guide the chalice to your lips by placing your hand gently on the chalice’s base and guiding it. Or you can dip your host (wafer) into the wine. Or you can give the host to the Lay Eucharistic Minister, who will dip the host into the wine and place it in your mouth.

Bible Study

We are now looking at the Book of Acts. How did a rag-tag group of disciples become the Church? How did all of this get going? 7PM on Tuesday nights.

Inquirers’ Class

INQUIRER'S CLASS will meet on Sunday, June 5, following the morning service in the Conference Room. Our topic this month will be "Evil, Suffering & A Loving God." Mark your calendar for the next study of Up-pity Women of the Bible! We'll begin on Thursday, September 8 at 9:30 a.m. (following Morning Prayer). Our focus for this study will be the book of Judith. Watch for more details toward the end of summer.
