Julie will try to post renewals 3 months in advance. Remember, you can

renew up to 3 yrs. at a time. She would highly recommend this option so

that you don't miss any magazines.

GMBC prices were last raised as of January 2005 to $35 full and $10

Email: [email protected] 847-736-2622 or 847-226-6705 Entries must be in by August 22nd. Come join us at the Greater Milwaukee Brittany Club Fun Field Trial. This is a great

opportunity to meet other club members and exercise the dogs.

SENIOR STAKE: 8:30 A.M. This is a 10 year or older dog stake. It is to be judged on the dog’s ability to hunt, handle and point birds. Judgment stops when the bird is flushed. Hearing aides, diapers and tracking collars welcome, but e-collars – the dog

cannot be placed.

SHOOTING DOGS: For dogs 6 months and older. The dog must give a finished per-

formance, point staunchly, and be steady to wing and shot.

HUNTING DOG: For dogs 6 months and older who DO NOT have an adult AKC place-ment. The hunting dog must establish and hold point until the handler flushes the

bird(s). Steadiness to wing and shot is not required.

DERBY: The derby dog must establish point, but is not judged for steadiness to wing

and shot. Blanks fired if bird contact is made.

PUPPIES: For puppies 6-15 months. Blanks fired if bird contact is made.

encouraged.

ENTRY FEES: All stakes are $12.00 per dog except diaper derby which is $5.00 – birds will be provided in all stakes. (If trial becomes a training session, fee will remain

the same to cover the cost of birds).

Please register early so we can plan for the number of birds to purchase. However,

don’t stay home because you forgot to register – we’ll register you at the trial.

SPECIAL NOTE: If we don’t have enough entries or judges are not available, we will

change the format to a training session with emphasis on field trial handling.

We will have a lunch which will be $5.00 per person. If you would like to bring a dish

to pass that would be great, Please let me know.

Thank you,

Chris & Gerilyn Sennott

GREATER MILWAUKEE BRITTANY CLUB’S ANNUAL FIND. FLUSH & FIRE

SUNDAY, AUGUST 26, 2012 STARTING AT 8:00 A.M. OTTAWA FIELD TRIAL GROUNDS

Send Entries to: Chris Sennott, 352 Whitney Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047

Email: [email protected] 847-736-2622 or 847-226-6705 Entries must be in by August 22nd. Entry Fees $32.00 Per Team The Find, Flush & Fire, (FFF) is an annual club “fun” event. You and your partner get 20 minutes, and 6 shells each, to try and get 4 Chukars. You can only shoot birds that your dog points, and the less time and shells used, the higher your score. You must pre-enter, so that we know how many birds to buy. If you don’t have a teammate, you can still enter, and we will try to match you

up with someone.

Official Rules and Regulations

Two handlers and one or two dogs per team (no more that two dogs)

Each dog may only be entered one time

Each handler is allowed six shells – no larger than #6 shot

A point must be established on each bird

All birds must be shot over your, or your partner’s dog

Any non-flying birds retrieved by your dog will be counted, and one shell deducted

Birds may be shot by either team member

Time will stop after four birds are shot and in hand, or a maximum of 20 minutes are reached

Official score will be determined by the time keeper

A stop to flush will count as a “point”, ONLY if the dog holds until shot is fired

If your dog is on point, and your only shot is toward the gallery, wave your hat and yell

“safety”. A safety will be counted as 1 bird in hand, and 1 shell used

A blaze orange cap or vest is required

A beeper collar or bell is allowed, NO training collars permitted during competition

For your safety, there will be NO running in the field with a shotgun; brisk walk is acceptable.

Scoring Tie Breakers

Birds: 100 points each 1. Number of Birds

Shells: 25 points each 2. Number of Shells

Time: 50 points for every 30 seconds left 3. Exact Time

Greater Milwaukee Brittany Club

Minutes from our General Membership Meeting

Saturday, June 16th, 2012

Our GMBC meeting was held on Saturday June 16, 2012 in conjunction with our training day at the Ottawa

Field Trial Grounds. The meeting was called to order by President Richard Lamb at 10:45 a.m.

Secretary Report: Jeff Jarmuskiewicz-present. No minutes from the last meeting was read because Jeff was absent.

Treasury Report: Dave Unti-absent. The club’s checkbook balance was reported by Sam Thompson. New hats arrived and

are increased to $12.00 & $16.00 because of the embroidery increase.

1st VP:

Sam Thompson-present. Spring Trial at Bong went very well. We had a full schedule on both days and, un-

fortunately, had to turn away dogs. We ran a continuous course. This went well. We paid for a driver and

wagon to transport the dogs to run braces. The club purchased barricades for the roads. Our Banner was

displayed. The paper work is in for the fall trials.

2nd VP:

Debbie Jagielski-absent. The show in Cudahy is going good. All paper work is complete. The premium will

be online very soon. Need volunteers and raffle items.

3rd VP: Julie Asmus-absent. The club picnic is changed to Sunday, July 15

th. We need dishes to pass. We will be

inviting The American Brittany Rescue to the picnic. We will also have a training day in the a.m. Rich Lamb

will give instructions on the “Use of a Garmin Astro GPS.” Jeff Jarmuskiewicz will invite Veterinary, Dr.

Marty Greer to talk (topic TBA.)

4th VP: Jeff Teuteberg–present. The club will have another training day on July 15

th and two training days in August

at Bong. The dates TBD.

OLD BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS: The club’s new banner is hanging in the club house. Thanks to Richard Lamb for designing it! He is trying

to secure a booth for a day at the Wisconsin State Fair’s Wonderful World of Dogs. We will need volunteers.

More information will follow at a later date.

Debbie Lewandowski had questions on the club’s website. She would like to see it expanded and update.

Example: add areas for education. Rich Lamb, the site coordinator, is looking for any info to add. If anyone

has any info or stories to add, please send it to Rich.

Richard Lamb is working with our new club sponsor, Native Pet Foods, for judges and trainers at training

sessions. They provide this service at no cost to clubs.

Ottawa Delegate: Ned Warner-absent. Sam Thompson mentioned our work days at Ottawa in July. We need volunteers to

work. He also said that the DNR will instruct qualified people for driving the tractor for mowing. All drivers

need to take a DNR class on the equipment before they can use it. Only a few members are currently quali-

fied.

Bong Delegate: Andy Lewandowski-present. Bong work continues. They filled in some ATV tracks.

The DNR is working on the 5 year management plan. This is the last year for rockets. DNR is also working

on a plan for the Rainbow Springs area. Discussion followed on the Wildlife Federation and info on Puppy

Mill Legislation.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 a.m. Respectfully submitted by, Jeff Jarmuskiewicz.,

Secretary
