The one whose vision is clear on the
destination is the one who is successful.
Expression: While moving towards the destination, we generally
tend to get distracted with even the little things that happen. Even a
small negative or positive incident is enough to distract our thoughts
from the destination. We become so busy with such things that our
vision moves away and there is no movement forward.
Experience: I need to first clarify my goal. Once I have done this, I
need to take care that my vision is focused on it. Even when
situations come by, trying to distract me I need to remind myself that
these are only side-scenes, which are not important for me. It ismore important to keep my energies focused towards the goal.

Why is setting goals important? Why is setting goals important?
Because goals can help people to be, do, and experience
everything they want in life. Instead of just letting life happen tothem, goals allow them to make their life happen.
Successful and happy people have visions of how their lives
should be, and they set lots of goals (both short-term and long-
range) to help them achieve their vision. By setting goals, theytake control of their lives. It¶s like having a map to show them
where they want to go. Think of it this way: Two drivers, each
sitting at the wheel of their car. One has a destination in mind
(her/his goal) which is laid out for her/his on a map. She/he can
drive straight there without any wasted time or wrong turns. Theother driver has no goal, destination or map. She/he starts off at
the same time from the same place as the first driver, but drives
aimlessly around, never getting anywhere, just using up gas and
oil. Which driver do you want to be?

Why is setting goals important? (Why is setting goals important? (ContinuedContinued ± ± 22 ))
Winners in life set goals and follow through in pursuit of them.
Winners decide what they want in life and get it by developingdetailed plans. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by
accident. Goals aren¶t difficult to set, and they aren¶t difficult to
reach. It¶s up to you to find out what your values, vision and goals
really are. You are the one who must decide what to pursue and in
what direction to aim you life.
Do we plan to fail or fail to plan?
It's a FACT that only 1% of people are wealthy and 4% are well
off.
It's a FACT that only 5% of people have written Goals.
Bottom line is if you don't have clear written goals you will become
one of the 95% of people who at age 65 are either DEAD or

Goals Should Be :Goals Should Be :
Research tells us that when we write down a goal we are morelikely to achieve it. Written goals can be reviewed regularly, hence
they have more long-range power. Like a contract with yourself,
they are harder to neglect or forget. Also, by writing goals in the
following fashion, you can stimulate your subconscious to be
continuously alert to situations that will further those goals.
Should be Six P¶s1. Positive
2. Present Tense3. Personal
4. Precise
5. Possible
6. Powerful

Goals Should Be (Goals Should Be (ContinuedContinued ± ± 22 ))
1. Positive. State goals in positive rather than negative terms. ("I
am a neat and organized person," rather than "I am no longer
disorganized.")
2. Present Tense. State goals as though they are being realized
right now, or have already been attained. The subconscious mind
only operates in the present. If you create goals in the future
tense, your subconscious will never get there.
3. Personal. Goals must be about you, and under your control,
not about someone else.

4. Precise. Write goals in a manner that clearly describes what
you intend to accomplish.
5. Possible. Goals should be realistic. Achieving them must be
within the realm of possibility.
6. Powerful. Use words that convey action and emotion.
Place written goals where you will see them at least twice a day. If
possible, read them aloud and visualize each one.

What You Thought / SeeWhat You Thought / See
IsIs
What You GetWhat You Get
Visualize success. Picturing a positive outcome can greatly affect
your progress in achieving goals. If you can see yourself attaining
a goal, you very likely will. If, on the other hand, you can muster
no image of success, or create an image of failure, you very likely
will fail.
Visualizing is something we all do, every day. When you
daydream²thinking about someone you know or remembering a
place you visited²you are visualizing. You can make the
technique of visualization work for you. You can use it to help
achieve your goals by seeing yourself achieving them. And by
enjoying the feeling of success.

StudyStudy
A study says :
We have 4 types of thoughts & imaginations
-ve thoughts
waste thoughts
useful thoughts+ve thoughts
We use most of ±ve & waste thoughts ( approx. 95% ) and we use
only 3% of useful & 2% of +ve thoughts.
All we need to reverse this process. We need to convert this
process to most of time +ve then useful and then waste and if
we left with time still we do not dare to think ±ve.

12 Common Mistakes Hinder The Goal12 Common Mistakes Hinder The Goal
SettingSetting
Mistake #1: Not focusing on Your Most Important and AudaciousGoal While it may be comforting to set small, easily-achievable
goals instead of big audacious ones, this will work against you in
the end. This is because setting large, seemingly impossible goals
spurs your mind to think differently.
Mistake #2: Not having a clear timeframe or deadline
Deadlines are a great way to focus the mind and force yourself tomake things happen.

Mistake #3: Not defining a clear measurement for achieving your goal
If you don¶t measure how well you¶re progressing toward your
goal, you may never know how well you¶re doing.
Mistake #4: Not defining your Compelling Reasons for wanting to
achieve your goal
A common mistakes people make when forming their goals is to
never ask themselves why they really want to achieve it. This isvital, because once you put your subconscious motivations into
words, it often sheds new light onto which approaches are best for
achieving it.

Mistake #7: Not pre-defining the Obstacles to Achieving Your Goal
Obstacles are unavoidable. If there aren¶t any obstacles to
reaching your goal, it¶s probably not a goal worth having. But you
can get around these obstacles if you plan for them in advance.
Mistake #8: Not enough focus on the Solutions to Overcoming
Your Obstacles
If you have defined the possible obstacles to your goal, your mind
will suddenly perceive solutions where none existed before.

Mistake #9: Trying to do it all alone
Most goals we have are social goals that involve other people.
Call upon family, friends, professionals, and anyone you think can
help you reach your goal.
Mistake #10: Not setting clear milestones on your path to success
Break up large goals into a series of milestones. Otherwise, youmay have problems assessing your goal, determining your
progress, and taking corrective action.

motivating and cheering you on to victory.

Patience & Accuracy Bring Achievement Of Patience & Accuracy Bring Achievement Of
Goals.Goals.
Expression: As much as it is important to set up goals for
ourselves it is also equally important to put in effort for the
achievement of these goals. The one who works with the two
qualities of patience and accuracy, are able to put in effort work with
commitment, under all circumstances. They are able to recognizethe success that they get in little things and work further till they
reach the goal.
Experience: When I am accurate in my efforts, I experience
satisfaction and contentment. I also have the patience tounderstand the significance of my own effort and the result that I
attain. So I am able to experience the sweetness of the result that I
get in little ways. I also have the firm faith that I will attain
whatever goal I set for myself.
