1 Modify Existing Account and Contact Page Layouts to Work with

goalgamiPro Instead of using the custom Account and Contact page layouts that come with the goalgamiPro

Salesforce application, you can modify existing Account and Contact page layouts to incorporate custom

fields and related lists from the goalgamiPro app.

NOTE: These instructions assume you have enabled the Improved Setup User Interface option.

1.1 Modify Account Page Layout

goalgamiPro uses the standard Accounts object in goalgamiPro so that you can create and manage

financial plans for clients in Salesforce.

1. Go to Setup -> Build -> Customize -> Accounts -> Page Layouts.

2. Click on ‘Edit’ next to Page Layout Name you want to modify.

3. The Page Layout editor screen is displayed.

1.1.1 Add goalgamiPro Account Fields

goalgamiPro provides several custom fields that you can add to your Account page layout. These fields

are meant to show summary balance values for financial accounts that belong to the Account. These

fields are roll-up summary fields associated with the ‘goalgamiPro Financial Accounts’ custom object

which is created when you install the app.

NOTE: Adding these fields to your Account page layout is optional as you may already collect financial

account data in your Salesforce org and have existing fields to display this information.

Field Description

Total Cash Balance Total cash balance for all financial accounts belonging to the Account.

Total Investment Value Total investment value for all financial accounts belonging to the

Account.

Total Value Total account value (cash + investment value) for all financial



accounts belonging to the Account.

To add these fields to your Account page layout, just drag each field from the available Fields at the top

of the Page Layout editor screen and drop them on the Account page layout where you want them to

appear.

Select ‘Fields’ option to view

Fields available to be added to

your Account page layout.



As you are modifying the Account page layout, you can click the ‘Preview As…’ button to preview the

page layout before you save your changes.

1.1.2 Add goalgamiPro Account Related Lists

goalgamiPro provides the following custom related lists that you can add to your Account page layout.

Related List Description

goalgamiPro

Financial Accounts

List of Financial Account records that have been created for the Account. Allows

user to add, edit, and delete records from the Account Detail page.

NOTE: If you already collect financial account data in another Salesforce object,

then you can use the ‘Copy to goalgamiPro’ button available on the Account Detail

page to copy over financial accounts stored in that object to the ‘goalgamiPro

Financial Accounts’ object instead of having to reenter that information. When

To add these related lists to your Account page layout, just drag each list name from the available lists at

the top of the Page Layout editor screen and drop them on the Account page layout with the other

related lists on the page. You can reorder your related lists by clicking on the tab for a related list and

dragging it to where you want it to appear.

Select ‘Related Lists’ option to view

NOTE: You can remove a related list from your Account page layout by clicking on the Remove icon in

the tab.

Make sure you save your changes by clicking the ‘Save’ button at the top of the Page Layout editor

screen.

1.2 Modify Contact Page Layout

goalgamiPro utilizes the standard Contacts object in Salesforce to create the people that belong to a

client account in Salesforce.

1. Go to Setup -> Build -> Customize -> Contacts -> Page Layouts.

Remove a related list

by clicking on the

‘Remove’ icon.



2. Click on ‘Edit’ next to Page Layout Name you want to modify.

1.2.1 Add goalgamiPro Contact Fields

goalgamiPro provides the following custom fields that you can add to your Contact page layout.

Field Description

Current Age Current age of Contact based on Birthdate entered.

NOTE: Birthdate field is a standard Salesforce field for the Contact

object. Birthdate is required for all Contacts that are used with the

goalgamiPro app.

Gender Gender of Contact.

NOTE: Gender is required for all Contacts that are used with the

goalgamiPro app.



To add these fields to your Contact page layout, just drag each field from the available Fields at the top

of the Page Layout editor screen and drop them on the Contact page layout where you want them to

appear.

Select ‘Fields’ option to view

As you are modifying the Contact page layout, you can click the ‘Preview As…’ button to preview the

1.2.2 Add goalgamiPro Contact Related Lists

goalgamiPro provides the following custom related lists that you can add to your Contact page layout.

NOTE: All of the related lists below are optional in terms of adding them to the Contact page layout.

These lists are provided as a convenience for users to access related goalgamiPro records associated

with a Contact record.

Secondary Principal. Allows user to add, edit, and delete records from

the Contact Detail page.

To add these related lists to your Contact page layout, just drag each list name from the available lists at

the top of the Page Layout editor screen and drop them on the Contact page layout with the other

related lists on the page. You can reorder your related lists by clicking on the tab for a related list and

dragging it to where you want it to appear.
