Giving to the Church – Endowments and Planned Giving
Our church specializes in preparing for realities that go beyond our lifetimes. We plan for ministry that will be here after each of us is gone. The Endowment funds of our church are gifts intended to be kept permanently and invested to generate earnings that can be used to fund future programs. Since 1930, our church has invested these funds in a long term strategy, using only a portion of the earnings to fund special pro-grams. Some of these have a dedicated purpose like the Music Scholarship endowment. Others are more general like the Ministry innovation endowment which is targeted for children’s ministry. A child in the 2-year old room recently asked a classmate if he was going to the 11 o’clock service. He boldly proclaimed, “You should go, Jesus will be there!” Through generosity like this, you can be sure that future generations of two-year olds will be this ex-cited about church. Our church will grow and sustain children who know and love Jesus.

Let us pray.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! that calls me from a world of care,
and bids me at my Father's throne make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief, my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter's snare by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer! the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn with strong desires for thy return!
