Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Lord, Welcome to Sacred Heart Church!
It is a blessing to have you join our worshiping community as we celebrate our Eucharistic Liturgy for Holy Trinity Sunday. Our gathering is enriched by your prayerful participation. Thanks for being with us!
In reading sacred scripture I will reflect on a phrase or sentence that speaks to my spirit. I love what Moses says to God in today’s reading from the Book of Exodus. “If I find favor with you, O Lord, do come along in our company,” says Moses. The Lord is invited to be with Moses and the Israelites on their faith journey. This is an invitation each of us could use in our morning prayer, simply to seek the Lord’s companionship throughout our day. Who is it that we invite? We invite “the Lord, the Lord, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity.” Sit with this description of God in your quiet prayer. Sounds like a great companion!! Paul, in his Letter to the Corinthians, gives us advise. Paul wants us to “mend your ways,” “to encourage one another” and to “live in peace.” After these words of instruction, Paul prays for the Corinthians, a prayer we could use in praying for others. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” Paul entreats the Holy Trinity to be with us. It’s a prayer we are encouraged to use in our prayer for others. It is a prayer that can nourish our spirit when we recite it for ourselves. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! Be well! God bless,
Fr. McKee
P.S. Thanks to the Knights of Columbus for hosting a social after the Masses last Sunday. * Next Sunday, our Hospitality Committee will host a social after each Mass. Plan to join us
for refreshments!

Today’s Feast of the Most Holy Trinity is all
about love, a love story to be honored, a love
infinitely greater than our Valentine’s Day, or
today’s calendar event of Fathers’ Day. Why?
Because the love we celebrate in the Trinity
is infinite, a constant - there is never a
lessening of it. There is on this Trinity Sunday, 2014, a coincidental calendar
connection with Fathers’ Day. Since today we
honor our earthly fathers, we have the
opportunity to honor our heavenly Father. For
He it is who sent both His only begotten Son to
save us, and a Holy Spirit who enables us to
walk through life with our heads held high in
confident hope. Rejoice and be glad!
