INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

THE IRONIC “HOLIDAY”/”CHRISTMAS” ISSUE

Celebrating Christmas or not celebrating Christmas has become a touchy issue for many. Even in the news we see certain groups trying to take “Christ” out of Christmas (For instance, a “holiday” tree instead of a “Christmas” tree, and “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”. On the other side we see many churches and Christians trying to keep “Christ” in Christmas. I also felt this way just a short time ago, until I learned the truth of Christmas’ origins and began to look at it from the Lord’s point of view. Of course, the change in my point of view started with the Letters on pages 54, 113-114 & 115 in Volume One, which are included in the following study. (Please refer to the following study for applicable Bible verses). There is a surprising irony to this situation. Those people who are trying to take Christ out of Christmas are motivated by their own evil “antichrist” desires. When in fact, unknowingly, they are accomplishing what the Lord calls of His people to do, His followers who walk in the Truth with eyes wide open. And then there are those people who proclaim themselves Christians who are trying to keep Christ’s name associated with what the Lord despises.I know many of you who love the Lord think you celebrate Christmas the way it should be celebrated. I know and understand your point of view. I used to feel the same way. You must ask yourselves some very important questions.

CHRISTMAS AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

What if Christmas broke one of God’s commandments, just one? Would you still celebrate it? Obviously this is a question for Christians only. What if it broke more than one? Or are some of the Lord’s commands not as important as the others?

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT BREAkS EIGHT OF THE TEN?

Commandment One: “You shall have no other gods before Me.”The date of December 25th originated from the worship of the sun god whose birthday was December 25th. In an effort to ease the converted pagans into their new Christian faith, the Catholic church at the time decided to meet the newly converted pagans “half way” and adopt many of their customs and rituals into this new holiday. Thus the day changed from “birthday of the sun god” to “birthday of the Son of God”. (Refer to the following study for more on this subject.)

Commandment Two: “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in Heaven above or on earth beneath or in the waters below.”Christmas trees and santa fall into this category. The use of holly, greenery, mistletoe, lights, etc. all originated from the pagan rituals which included worship of false gods and their idols. In regards to santa: You say, “He is not real. It doesn’t matter.” But it does matter to God. Are not all idols imaginary and made by human hands, “neither speaking, nor hearing”? Even though it seems harmless, the Lord still finds this detestable. Also, does santa lead people away, or to, Christ? Isn’t he just an artificial replacement, an “idol”? (Refer to the following study for more information).

INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT BREAkS EIGHT OF THE TEN? cont.

Commandment Three: “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.”Christ Jesus is in God and God in Him. Jesus said His name is God’s name, the name God has given Him. “Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name - the name you gave Me - so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave Me” (John 7:-). We should not associate the name of Christ with any other name than the name God has given Him. (refer to the next page to understand why christmas is a misuse of the Lord’s name)

Commandment Six: More people commit suicide during the holidays than any other time. (Murder of self).

Commandment Seven: Many people commit adultery and fornication during this time due to drunken-ness and parties.

Commandment Eight: Theft increases during this time of year.

Commandment Nine: False Testimony is abundant. Everywhere you turn, people are lying about this being Christ’s true birthday, to their children and to themselves. Santa is a lie. For alot of people, the pressure of competition leads them to lie about gifts they’ve received or haven’t received, money spent, etc.

Commandment Ten: We teach covetousness to our children. This is actually taught to them by default, through lack of any kind of correction. Children learn to care about receiving more than about giving, and they always want what everyone else has. For most children Christmas has become an endless “wish list”, not a day for giving back to the world, but for the world to give to them. As for adults, there is constant competition and envy of their neighbor’s lights, decorations, new snowblower, etc. (whether we admit it or not).

Most people agree Christmas is supposed to be about Christ and His birth. Pretend you are Jesus Christ, looking down from above on this modern-day Christmas. What would you see?

• A celebration of His birthday on the 25th, which is not His birthday, but the pagan sun god’s birthday. • The use of decorations, rituals, and practices originating from pagan worship of false gods.

You would also see six of the seven deadly sins: • Vanity • Pride • Envy (Coveting what everyone else has or receives) • Greed (Love of money & things) • Lust (Christmas parties) • Gluttony (Overeating and overindulgence)

(Materialism)

INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT BREAkS EIGHT OF THE TEN? cont.

And all this in Christ’s name. Is it really a “mass for Christ” or a blaspheming of His name? You decide.

No matter how people whitewash Christmas, or rationalize it, it is what it is in the eyes of the Lord. Paul said, “God will strike you, you white-washed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law...” (Acts 23:3). Shall we try to wash only the outside of a cup, leaving the inside filled with abominations and sin. Jesus said, “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence” (Matthew 23:25).

In the Bible you will not find anyone celebrating Christmas. You will find many verses saying not to mix true worship with false worship, or holy days with unholy days and practices (please refer to the following study).

“Transgression” ~ Letters from God and His Christ ~ Volume 4/6/05 - From God the Father - A Letter Given to Timothy,

For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear, Regarding the Modern Holidays

Thus Says The Lord God: This world has altogether become a house of harlots who continually go out to commit fornication with the unclean and revel in their adulteries against God, altogether forsaking Him who I sent to them so they may turn away from their ways and become completely clean. None of these have harkened; they remain shackled to this world and its fornications of sin, intermingling honor with dishonor, praise with blasphemy and sin with purity. WoE! My children, you have all fallen into the snare of the devil. Can’t you see My children? Open your eyes and read the writing set forth in stone, written by the hand of God, the everlasting Law etched with burning fire, blazing as a torch so you may not stumble in the darkness that surrounds you. Another Light have I sent, the Everlasting Light of the world. He, too, do you men of vanities try to cover over, so you may shine in His place. You shall be utterly destroyed and thrown into eternal darkness, forever separated from life and your God. REPEnT! And give Me glory according to the New Covenant by which you are saved. Call on My name by the name of He who I have given My name. He is the One who shall save you from the Lord’s Day, and He is the One who shall destroy you if you will not come. By Him were you made a vessel unto honor; you have all become vessels of dishonor, heaping to yourselves vanities and sin. You shall be crushed and thrown into the fire! Now hear My words! You proud blasphemers! Shall you continue to corrupt love? Christ Jesus, the Lord and Savior, is Love Everlasting. Give Him honor and glory forever and ever! He has glorified My name by His sacrifice on the cross, and I have glorified Him by My name that stands forever. He is the Ensign, the waving banner for all time. Call on His name, shout it to the heavens! He is your Shepherd, the True Vine; and you are His branches. I shall prune all branches that grow in Him, making them stronger and more and more liken unto Him from which they grow. To all those who say, “Here I am, I also grow from the Vine.” You are all liars and a malignancy growing where you should not. You shall be cut out and thrown into the fire. INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

“Transgression” (continued)

The wrath of the Lamb is coming! Did you think I would stay silent during the time appointed? I shall shake the heavens and the earth and stir up the seas. People of this earth, stop breaking My commandments and blaspheming My name and the name I have given My Son. You shall not have His name associated with sin. His name shall only be for a song on your lips, a sweet-smelling savor. I shall speak plainly so those slow to understanding may hear, though their ears are dull and their eyes are dim: These modern holidays, christmas, easter and halloween, are abomination in the eyes of the Lord God Almighty. I shall destroy them and wipe them from the face of the whole earth. No more shall you break My commands and revel in sin in the Son’s name. My countenance is turned against you! Says the Lord of Hosts. You shall not blaspheme the name of Christ! You and your detestable idols, your false worship, your misuse of My name and the Christ’s, your vanities, your greed, your envy, your lusts, your drunkenness, your gluttonous appetites, your fornications, your false witness and lying to your children, your covetousness, your thefts, your murders causing those to destroy themselves...all you do is adultery against your Lord. I have given you many days to honor My Son... you forget them all, especially the one I have given you every seventh day. What do all these things have to do with Me? Why do you do them in the Son’s name? Give the gift of His name. By His name are you saved...no other. Stop these vain babblings! You speak things in ignorance of the truth. Shut your mouths; stop your blaspheming. Be silent before your Lord and speak to Me in spirit. You have all become as the pagan and the heathen, by which all your holidays have their origins. Abomination! The harlot has lead you into temptation by her false witness. She shall be left utterly desolate, destroyed by her own judgment, which crushes her beneath the feet of the Holy One of Israel, broken by her iniquities, and put to death by her denial of the Truth she replaced with the cups of her fornications, filling the Lord’s cup with His indignation, which He shall pour out full strength on the whole world.

One commandment broken is all commandments broken. One sin, reveled in My name, are all sins accounted to you.

One sin, repented in the Christ’s name, all are forgiven you.

I know your hearts My children, and I know whether or not you have become fully converted in your spirit... You can not lie to your God. Come to Me in all truth and supplication by Him who I sent you in truth, being the Truth absolute, utterly void of darkness. He is light; by Him shall you walk into life. He is the Way, the only One under Heaven. Walk in Him and you shall find Me. Amen.

Will you follow the world and the traditions of men, Or will you obey the Word of God?

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 1: DOES THE LORD APPROVE OF THE MODERN “HOLIDAYS” OF HALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS AND EASTER?

No. The reason being that all three of these days began as pagan, or heathen, celebrations and festivals. (There are also other days throughout the year that had pagan origins as well.) In the Bible we are warned about having anything to do with pagan rituals, namely idol-worship, and the consequences if we do. Because the origins of these three days are rooted deeply in idol-worship (the sun god, Baal, god of wine, god of war, etc.) we are to have nothing to do with them. Substituting Christian names and practices for pagan customs, worse still, substituting anything for what God has commanded, regardless of how well our intentions might be, is idolatry and abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

From God the Father, given to Timothy: Any pure water mixed with poison becomes poison. Be then separate. Do not whitewash any wall of abomination...tear it down and turn wholly to the Lord in all truth and supplication! Shall you wash the outside of the cups of blasphemy and leave the inside rank? Drink not from these cups, lest you become ill and your faith die in dissolution.

Pagan rituals consistently went against several of the commandments, and in the most heinous ways.

You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of their fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments. ~ Exodus 20:3-6 NIV

From God the Father, given to Timothy: In these commands of the Father, know My punishment and understand, greater is My mercy and reward for those who keep them both now and to come.

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 1: DOES THE LORD APPROVE OF THE MODERN “HOLIDAYS” OF HALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS AND EASTER? cont.

The following verses in the Bible give reference to God’s anger regarding those who would worship idols and even His people who would adopt the pagan rituals of the lands they went into.

But when you have driven them out and settled in their land, and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying “How do these nations serves their gods?” We will do the same. You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it. ~ Deuteronomy 12:30-32 NIV

Do not learn the ways of the Gentiles... ~ Jeremiah 10:2 NIV (Gentiles were pagan)

...because they forsook Him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. In His anger against Israel the Lord handed them over to raiders who plundered them. He sold them to their enemies all around, who they were no longer able to resist. ~ Judges 2:13-14 NIV

He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molech the detestable god of the Ammonites. So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done. On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the Ammonites. He did the same for his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods. The Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. Although He had forbidden Solomon to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the Lord’s command. So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept My covenant and My decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. ~ 1 Kings 11:5-11 NIV

Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and I saw women sitting there mourning Tammuz. He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this.” He then brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east. He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the house of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually provoke Me to anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! Therefore, I will deal with them in anger... ~ Ezekiel 8:14-18 NIV

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 2: HALLOWEEN Halloween is definitely pagan in its origin. Also, because of what was done at those pagan rituals, we should not have anything to do with this day, nor let our children imitate or have anything to do with this day.

Halloween’s Pagan Origin:This day was the first day of the Celtic New Year. The people in the Celtic culture who led the holiday celebration were known as Druids. The Druids were priests and priestesses and magicians. The Druid lord of death and evil spirits, was called by variations of the name Saman, such as Samana, Shamhain, or Samhain. The “holiday” was originally called “The Vigil of Samhain”. Samhain was shown as a ghostly skeleton holding a sickle in his hand. We know him today as the “Grim Reaper”. November 1st was considered the day of death for the Celts because the leaves had fallen, it was getting darker sooner and temperatures were dropping. They believed that Muck Olla, their sun god, was losing strength because Samhain, their lord of death, was overpowering him. They also believed that on October 31st, Samhain assembled all the spirits of all who died the previous year. They believed that the spirits of the dead were confined to inhabit animals’ bodies as punishment for their evil deeds. On October 31st, they were allowed to return to their former homes to visit the living (modern-day “haunted house”). To appease Samhain and stop the evil spirits from harming them, the Celts gathered up animals and people and put them in wicker cages and burned them to death. The word “Halloween” is derived from the term “All Hallow’s Eve” which occurred on October 31st, the end of summer in Northwestern Europe. “All Saints Day” or “All Hallows Day” was Nov. 1st. Therefore, Halloween is the eve of All Saints Day. Around the 5th century, as the Catholic church developed and moved into this area, instead of adding a new day to celebrate, it took over the Samhain celebration. Nov. 1st became “All Hallows Eve” when all the saints of the Catholic church were honored. The seemingly innocent customs of today such as trick-or-treating, and even the jack-o’-lantern, etc. began with these early pagan customs.

Should we celebrate this day? NO! Not only because of its pagan roots but also because of what the pagans did during this celebration. Human sacrifices and evil spirit worship goes against God in the worst possible way. God is life, not anti-life. God is holy, not evil..

To honor this day is to dishonor God.

The Bible gives specific instructions on what was to be done regarding those who did these detestable pagan rituals:

“Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritists or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord...” ~ Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Abstain from every form of evil. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:22 NIV

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 2: HALLOWEEN (cont)

Question asked: Is celebrating Halloween oK?

[Answer from God the Father] In regards to the day in which your land celebrates the Day of the Dead, those who hear not, speak not, think not, nor even pray, for all of their thoughts have perished: To honor them is to honor nothing and is contemptible. For honoring the dead is to honor the dark. I am the Light and the Life. Honor Me. So I say to you, do not do it! Rather, honor the season of autumn and give thanks. In no way make images to the dead, nor adorn yourself or your children with the symbols of death. Rather, celebrate autumn and its splendor, for I created autumn so all may partake with their eyes My brush strokes, and know I am God and give Me glory, for I have shown My splendor in all the trees, grasses and creatures of flight. [Letters from God and His Christ - “Honor not the Day of the Dead...Honor God”]

PART 3: CHRISTMAS

Like Halloween, Christmas is pagan in its origins. Despite what Christians have tried to make this day, the original celebrations dating long before Christ’s birth, actually involved human sacrifices and sexual perversion, etc. These behaviors are definitely nothing we would associate with the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, nor would we have anything to do with these things anytime.

Christmas’ Pagan Origins: The origin of this religious celebration predates Christianity. Elements of this day are traced to ancient Egypt, Babylon and Rome. December 25th was known as the birthday of the sun god. The unchristian emperor, Aurelian, established the festival of Dies Invicti Solis, the Day of the Invincible Sun, on December 25th. Also on that day, a religion from Persia (Mithraism), which in those days was one of Christianity’s strongest rivals, also celebrated their sun god. This day is also celebrated as the winter solstice for many cultures. During their festivals, they were given to much excess and debauchery. This festival went by different names in different cultures including “Saturnalia” in Rome, in honor of the roman god of agriculture, Saturn. Parallel to Saturn, who was a god-king who ate his own children presumably to avoid regicide (his own murder while king), was a Carthaginian Baal, whose brazen horned effigy contained a furnace in which children were sacrificially fed. Other festivals included Bacchanalia honoring Bacchus, the god of wine. This festival included songs, dancing and other revels which went beyond decency, including orgies. Other festivals included the Teutonic Feast (ice giant which signified death vs. the sun god, life). This was also the time of the Yule-Feast of the Norsemen (revival of the sun). The Norsemen gave us such popular customs as the yule log, evergreen boughs and holly. In Germany, they sacrificed to their god of war, Odin.

PART 3: CHRISTMAS (cont)

The Creation of “Christmas”: The tendency of Catholic leadership at that time (around the third century) was to meet paganism halfway. Failing to make much headway in converting the pagans, the religious leaders of the Roman church began compromising. Rather than converting them to the church’s beliefs, the church became largely converted to non-Christian customs in its own religious practices. At first, the Catholic church censured these celebrations, but because these festivals were far too entrenched in popular favor to be abolished, the church finally granted them necessary recognition, hoping that they could win converts this way. The converts were even allowed to kill a great number of oxen to the glory of God the Father, as formerly they had done this to honor their pagan gods. Even after many thousands of converts had been baptized into the Christian faith, they were still allowed to have their usual pagan December celebrations. The observance of December 25th as a “holy day or holiday” for Christians began when early Roman church leaders adopted this day and gave it the name of Christ (Christ mass, or Christmas). Converts were told to worship the Son of God instead of the sun god. The focus of the holiday subtly changed, but the traditional pagan customs and practices remained, for the most part, unchanged. Many other modern-day Christmas traditions including candles and lamps, exchanging gifts, feasting, etc. all are rooted in these pagan festivals. An interesting note: The Pilgrims in Massachusetts, our founding forefathers, made a point of working on Christmas as on any other day. On June 3, 1647, Parliament established punishments for observing Christmas and certain other holidays. This policy was reaffirmed in 1652. Years later, it was the German immigrants who brought some of these customs to America. The main reason Christmas has survived and grown into such a popular holiday is because of economic factors. Retailers in the U.S. count on this “season of giving” for fifty percent of their annual sales.

Once again, God does not approve of us having festivals and celebrations or holidays that are rooted in paganism. Paganism is based on worshiping false gods and idols. Doing these things is detestable to the Lord.

...for they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They committed adultery with their idols; they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore to Me, as food for them. They have also done this to Me: At that same time they defiled My sanctuary and desecrated My Sabbaths. On the very day they sacrificed their children to their idols, they entered My sanctuary and desecrated it. That is what they did in My house. ~ Ezekiel 23:37-39 NIV

...No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too. You cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:20, 21 NIV

“Worship with Gratitude His Birth, and Give Thanks for His Death & Resurrection”~ Letters from God and His Christ ~

10/7/04 - From God the Father - A Letter Given to Timothy, For His Wife and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Question asked by Timothy: Lord, what is your will for us regarding Christmas?

[Answer from God the Father] Timothy and Beloved, I tell you this, let your heart guide you, for on it have I written many things, and many more will I write until the time of the end. Then will you be changed from mortal to immortal; so too will the will of your heart change. For now, know this, you may indeed honor My Son’s birth, the Salvation Day of the World. For if you make it a mass for Christ, in this do you honor Me. To imitate Christ is righteousness. Blessed be those who worship with gratitude the birth of My Son. Even more blessed are those who worship and give thanks for His death and resurrection. Woe, woe I say to those who celebrate this season without Christ, this “season of giving”. What they should say is “season of selfishness and prideful giving”, for Christ is not in their hearts. They have put Him far from them. For the day is coming when they will try to hide Him away and force others to do the same. The season of Christ has been forever and so shall it be forever. Make Christ the centerpiece and shun all that is replacements or for show. For even to replace Christ with false good is to partake in that which is called antichrist! Also, know this, for the world celebrates this holiday in ignorance and knows not its origins are of abomination. Even so does it remain and become liken unto its true origins, which were before the birth of the Son into the earth. So give your gifts, share your love, lift up the poor and the poor in spirit, but celebrate not as the world does. Rejoice in your Lord God and Savior, Jesus, the Christ! Share His name and then you may say to one another you have celebrated the Salvation Day of the World in Christ Jesus, the Son in whom I am well pleased.

Question asked by Timothy: Lord, what do you think of the modern Christmas?

[Answer from God the Father] Though Timothy, if you were to ask of what I think of this season of the people in your land and of many lands, mistakenly referred to as “Christmas”, for it is not a mass for Christ at all, but an abomination in the eyes of the Most High! I say to you Timothy, I will not press down on you My many cups filled to overflowing with My indignation, for you haven’t the paper or strength of hand to write them.

“Regarding the Celebration of Christmas”~ Letters from God and His Christ ~

11/17/04 - From Jesus Christ, Our Lord - A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

[Jesus speaking] Timothy, write these words as I bestow them upon you.For long have men celebrated the ritual of men called now “christmas”. For I say this to you, with all manner of authority and righteousness, the name of Christ shall have no word attached to it other than My name given by the Father. I know many say they celebrate this holiday in loving memory of My earthly birth, yet on this day I was not come into the world by way of water and blood. For that day is not written and no other days (dates) recorded of My works. It is only written that I have come and that My works did follow Me. Heed My words. I know in ignorance many do celebrate My earthly birth as a beginning of their salvation. Yes I say, sing and rejoice as likewise did God’s angels do in that day. For I am the beginning and then end, for I am forever. So I say to you, My birth into the world was not the beginning, for nothing was created that was not created through Me. If it were not so I would have told you. Assuredly I say to you, all rituals given by and from pagans are abomination. Indeed all religions, religious rituals and celebrations, not in My name, which glorify not My Father, are abomination. To worship God the Father, through the Son, is pure worship. Any worship not to the Son, up to the Father, you are in error. And any worship of the Son is to worship the Father. But I say in a loud voice, to worship in any way liken unto paganism is ABOMINATION! For in the modern age, where I ask you, is the Christians’ hearts? For to worship wholly and in righteous purity is to be one with Me in the Spirit. You call unto Me, and I come unto you, and together we become one in the Holy Spirit. For this is a gift given by the Father, for in His Spirit are all in creation connected and one with Him.So again I say, if you celebrate this holiday, I say, woe. I know your heart is in the place of worshipping any and all ways, but how can we be one if your heart and mind go from here to there? Indeed, what do all these things have to do with Me? Why do you decorate the tree?...Have I not made it as beautiful as it should be? Why decorate your house?...For My house has no need of decorations. For in humbleness will your house shine forth. Why do you give gifts in My name?...I am He who gives the gift, you only need receive it. In following My ways, you give gifts to Me and unto each other and all those around you. For the gifts I bring are forever. What matter these things of the world which will soon pass away? You say all these things are a metaphor and a testament to Me. I say anything coming from the rituals of sin are sin. Do not do it! Instead, do only as the Word of God instructs. For the season of giving is each and everyday. And the season of love is indeed everyday, every hour, every minute, every moment of life in Christ Jesus. So I say to you, give worldly gifts to each other if you so choose, but do it not as pagans, for this is sin. Instead, give gifts to your loved ones as you see fit to do with love for them and by them. Do it not on the 25th day of December, for this day was put forth by pagans in worship of false gods, which is the breaking of the Father’s first and foremost commandment.I know your heart, Timothy, you wish to have others know My ways. Then show them by your ways, then My ways will become clear. I know you love your December holiday, but you must forsake it. For I have called you to a higher calling than those around you. I have called you to truth and the salvation of men, and unto war. You wish to celebrate My name and My earthly birth, this you already do.You wish to make festivals for your family to enjoy, do so. Be careful not to do as the pagans and false teachers would have you do. You must be separate from the world Timothy. So I say to you, cast away your tree and lights and decorations of this holiday. Instead, celebrate your family and Me in your own way. As you celebrated fall, and not the day of the dead, also do unto the winter holidays.Yes, teach your children what is written of My earthly birth and the Salvation Day of Men. Know this, the Salvation Day of Men is four-fold: It was ordained before the foundation of the world, fulfilled at My birth, finished at My death on the cross and solidified eternally upon My resurrection. Amen!

“Celebrate Not Those Things of Pagan Origins!Stand Steadfast Against the Winds of Deception and Lying!”

~ Letters from God and His Christ ~11/18/04 - From God the Father - A Letter Given to Timothy,

For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Question asked by Timothy: Lord, should we celebrate the December holiday with our extended family as planned?

[Answer from God the Father] To you the truth is given and the truth is made known. To you and your family, do not celebrate on the 25th of this December, or the next. As to those you love who celebrate this day in this way which I abhor, give them not its origins until it is finished, and accept their gifts with love and thanksgiving. For they are in ignorance of many, many things. So in their ignorance I do not yet hold it against them, but those things of sin and righteousness, they do know. This I have counted against them until that day when they call on My name and the forgiveness of the Son through His sacrifice. For the Day when all come to Me in repentance draws near. Soon your loved ones, oh so very soon, will dedicate themselves to Me and only wish to do all that is right and good in My sight. For I shall show great signs and wonders in the earth and in the heavens. Then all the sons and daughters of Truth will know I have come and will call on My name with great trembling, fear and mourning. For they knew all their life the truth of what I am. Now that I have come do they weep loudly, and fall to their knees in all humility, realizing that indeed their Creator and Redeemer lives! For now will their hearts melt, and all lying and deception flee from them. Their eyes are open, their ears unstopped, and with their mouth they sing, “Praise and glory to He who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!”

[Jesus] I am coming quickly, and truth and salvation are in My right hand, and death and judgment in my left. The time of harvest is upon you. Look up, oh children of Zion, for the horsemen begin their ride, for the first already sits upon his saddle holding his bow. Woe, woe, woe...to the people who dwell upon the earth, for the winds of deception and lying are blowing...

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 4: EASTER

The modern-day Easter is supposed to be a celebration of Christ’s resurrection, yet we incorporate such things as bunnies, and colored eggs, etc. Once again, the origin of Easter, and these peculiar symbols, is rooted in paganism. Like Halloween and Christmas, the origins of this day included idol-worship, worshiping other gods, sexual perversion, etc. We are told many times in the Bible to abstain from such behaviors.

Easter’s Pagan Origins:Easter’s origins are connected to Spring fertility rites. The term “Easter” is not of Christian origin. It is another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen of heaven, who is the goddess of spring and fertility. Many pagan cultures believed that the god of fertility died each year during the winter but was reborn each year in the spring. Ancient fertility rites revolved around gross sexual immorality and perversion. The Babylonian and Assyrian fertility goddess was Ishtar, whose name may well have been the origin of the word Easter. To the pagans, Ishtar symbolized “mother earth” in the natural cycles of fertility on earth. She was the goddess of love, and the practice of ritual prostitution became widespread, both men and women. Temples to Ishtar had many priestesses, or sacred prostitutes, who symbolically acted out the fertility rites of the cycle of nature. Other cultures had their various forms of Ishtar: the Phoenician Astarte, the Semitic Ashtoresh, and the Sumerian Inanna. There are also strong similarities between Ishtar and the Egyptian Isis, the Greek Aphrodite and the Roman Venue. Associated with Ishtar, was the young god Tammuz, considered both divine and mortal. In Babylonian mythology Tammuz died annually and was reborn year after year, representing the yearly cycle of the seasons and the crops. The pagan belief later was identified with the pagan gods Baal and Anat. The pair of Ishtar and Tammuz were later recognized in the Mediterranean region, including Israel, under other names: Baal and Astarte (Ashtoreth), Attis and Cybele, and Adonis and Aphrodite. Early Christians had nothing to do with Easter. Instead they kept Passover, instituted by God centuries earlier at the time of the Exodus. Later Jesus Christ and His apostles introduced the added meanings regarding Jesus, the Lamb of God, offered as the true Passover sacrifice for the sins of the world. (John 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:7). Even in the second century, Christians were still following the examples of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6) in observing the Passover. The universal theme of death and resurrection in the pagan rituals makes them the forerunner of the modern-day Easter.

How did these pagan rituals become our modern-day Easter? As Christianity spread through the Roman empire, religious leaders apparently merged customs and practices associated with this earlier mythological “resurrected” god (Tammuz, Attis, etc.) and applied them to the Son of God. In this respect Easter followed the pattern of Christmas, being officially sanctioned and welcomed into the church. Once again, the leaders of the Roman church, at that time, felt it better to co-mingle the two events, allowing the converts to keep some or all of their pagan traditions. The pagan traditions eventually overshadowed the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 4: EASTER (cont)

From the following verses you will be able to see how much the Lord detested the sensual and perverted worship of these false gods.

The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord; they forgot the Lord their God and served the Baals and Asherahs. The anger of the Lord burned against Israel so that he sold them into the hands of Cush-Rishathaim, king of Aram Naharaim, to whom the Israelites were subject for eight years. Judges 3:7-8 NIV

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS” Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the Lord and no longer served Him, He became angry with them. He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites... Judges 10:6-7 NIV

Additional verses: Judges 2:11-15; 1 Kings 11:4-6, 31, 33; 1 Kings 16:30-33; 1 Kings 22: 51-53

“Regarding the Celebration of Easter”~ Letters from God and His Christ ~

Timothy, go and honor your family, for as I have said regarding the December holiday, do likewise to this holiday called Easter, for they are the same in My eyes.Love the Lord, also love your family. Let My light shine in your eyes. Embrace those with whom you disagree. By your example will they see Me in you. Worry not, nor judge not, only educate your own children. And if asked, answer with love, saying you do not celebrate in your own house those things of the world and those things rooted in paganism, but strive each day to please your God, love your neighbor, and rejoice in your Savior, Christ Jesus.

Keep the peace, and they will listen. Do not yet serve food for adults to the infants. The babes will not eat it, nor can they yet digest it. It must be given in small portions, and softened with the Water*, before accepted....Trust in Me.

*Water is belief, faith, the Bible and Christ who softens the hard-hearted.

PART 5: SUMMARY

We know that the instruction and examples given in the Bible were recorded for our spiritual instruction and benefit (Romans 15:4). From the verses listed in this study and the Letters from God and His Christ, we see that God abhors His people following the customs of the pagan cultures. We also know that He finds idol-worshiping and false gods detestable. To honor any of these pagan rituals, symbols or characteristics in our own life, would be to dishonor the Lord. OnCE WE knOW THE TrUTH aBOUT HOW GOD FEELS aBOUT THESE PraCTICES, WE mUST rEmOvE THEm FrOm OUr LIvES.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. ~ John 4:24 NIV(We cannot worship God in truth and spirit with false practices adopted from the worship of nonexistent gods, originating from those who reveled in sins of the flesh, acting in the manner of demons.)

This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. ~ Mark 7:6-7 NIV

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. ~ Colossians 2:8 NIV

Other verses regarding walking in the truth of the Lord: 2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 15:6-9; 2 Corinthians 6:14-17; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Mark 7:13 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Corinthians 13:11, 1 John 2:6; 1 Corinthians 11:1

From God the Father, given to Timothy:He who has received of the Truth, and accepted, must walk in its ways.

For he shall be judged by the way he has taken and walked...this is the narrow path. For those, who know the path and stray far from it, shall be condemned...

this is the wide path that leads to destruction.

PART 6: OTHER HOLIDAYS

Aside from the three holidays covered in this study, there are other “holidays” that should be double-checked before we participate in them: New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day and May Day. This information is readily available on the internet (i.e. New Year’s Day origins) or in the encyclopedia. For instance, valentine’s Day originated from the popular pagan festival of the god Lupercus. only later was the name of Valentine attached to this day, February th, by the early Roman Catholic church.

Two holidays that we can safely take part in are the 4th of July, Independence Day and Thankgiving. We know that Independence Day originated in this country, and that are founding forefathers were Christian. We also know that Thanksgiving is a good holiday to celebrate. As Paul said, “giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20). We are thankful for our freedom in this country and we are also thankful for the bountiful blessings that the Lord pours on His children.

MODERN-DAY “HOLIDAYS”

PART 7. GOD’S HOLY DAYS

God has also given us seven annual festivals, or feast days, on which to worship and honor Him. By observing them according to His word, we can understand His ultimate plan for humanity. These holy days include Passover, the Feast of the Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, the Feast of Pentecost, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles (and the Last Great Day-part of the Feast of Tabernacles). Mention of all seven holy days are found in the Old Testament (Exodus and Leviticus). Their fulfillment, in and by Christ, is found in the New Testament.

From God the Father, given to Timothy:The seven are the Plan of the Ages,

and are all in all manifest through Christ, who shall bring them to actualization...

three have passed, one is, and three are to come.

Final note from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, given to Timothy:So then, My children, seek to please My Father in all your ways. For He is also your Father, as I am your Father. He, who obeys the Father, comes to Me and I show him the way. I am the Good Shepherd. I separate My sheep from evil and shelter them in My Father’s barn. So then, so shall you separate yourself from all things of evil and this world. Fall not into temptation, call on My name and I shall set a hedge about you and hide you, and keep you until I come and deliver you from these evils.

The Lord takes away.... and that left open to Him is filled with living water. I am He who takes away your burden which is sin, and lightens that within you through My Spirit and Truth. You wish for holy days (holidays) to honor Me, I have given you seven... plus one which falls on Saturday of each week, which is the seventh day.

Remember, My children: Those, who have planted their feet in uprightness before the Lord, testifying on My behalf, may no longer walk where others walk. This is where iniquity and hypocrisy abound.

INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLY DAYS

PART 1: JESUS IS THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THINGS... INCLUDING GOD’S HOLY DAYS

As Christians, we should keep those days God has set aside for us and commanded us to keep forever...the seven annual Holy Days, in addition to the weekly Sabbath day, the seventh day of each week. For in the Holy Days is there a greater joy and understanding in the knowing that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all things! Nothing man has made, nor any “holiday” ordained by man, compares to the glory of what God has planned for those who love Him...foreshadowed and revealed in the Seven Holy Days of God.

INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLY DAYS

PART 2: THE HOLY DAYS FULFILL GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION FOR HUMANITY

The Spring Holy Days include Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost. All of these Holy Days have been fulfilled through Jesus Christ. He was crucified on Passover (see Part 5: Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion), later being called our “Passover” by His apostles (1 Corinthians 5:7) . He was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, or right before (see Part 5: Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion), unleavening all mankind through His shed blood (1 Corinthians 5:7). He was raised three nights and three days later on First Fruits (see Part 5: Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion), being the “first fruits” from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20, 23). The Holy Spirit, His Spirit, was given at Pentecost, fifty days later (Acts 2:1-4). Those four events fulfilled the Spring Holy Days (see the chart above).

The Fall Holy Days include the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, Tabernacles and the Last Great Day. The Last Great Day is included with Tabernacles because it is an extension of the Millennium (Revelation 11:15 & 22:5). We believe that as the Spring Holy Days were fulfilled through Christ, also will the Fall Holy Days be fulfilled through Christ, possibly on the day of the Holy Day itself, as were the Spring Holy Days fulfilled on the exact day. The next pivotal event in the timeline is the “rapture” or gathering up of Christ’s church, which includes all those who truly love Him and know Him, those who He sees of Himself in them. We believe this will happen on or around the Feast of Trumpets. The Messianic fulfillment of the Day of Atonement and Tabernacles will immediately follow and will be fulfilled by Christ, in the same manner...God and Jesus do not change (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8).

/0/0 From God The Father and YahuShua HaMashiach, Jesus The Christ, our Lord and Savior -A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to HearWalking in the Footsteps of My Passion

Timothy, hear the word of The Lord your God: Before you have I set many things... All of which you shall honor and obey, in their proper times and seasons.

This I tell you, regarding the feasts of The Lord:

Three are fulfilled, one is, And three are to come, coming quickly.

of the three fulfilled in Mashiach, You shall remember and honor them, according to how I command you...

The dates and times, and new moons and seasons, are not the focus...

Rather, YahuShua is the focus...

And the significance of these Holy Days Is found in their meaning and revealed by their order.

Therefore, you, your family, along with this little flock, which I love, shall not keep My Holy Days as the worldly churches, nor shall you follow the traditions of the Jews... They follow their own way, holding fast to religion, seeking the praise of men, walking in the doctrines of men, abiding not in The Savior, The only Way. Therefore, you shall be set apart; and because of My voice, you shall be separate and do all I command you. In the world, many will begin the Passover at the end of March, yet you will begin the Passover on Tuesday evening at sundown, of the week prior. You will follow Messiah’s Passion, gathering together to bless His name, according to each day He has fulfilled in His glory, to My glory. Four holy convocations, plus one, shall be kept... As Messiah celebrated Passover with His disciples, so shall you do in like manner... As He was afflicted, so shall you also afflict your souls; as He slept, so shall you mourn... As He rose, so shall you rejoice and sing praises!... You shall complete the week with joy and feasting... Then later, meeting once more, to remember the Bridegroom being taken from you, and to rejoice in the blessed hope of His soon return.

In this way your hearts shall be glad... And you will come to see with greater eyes, Entering into a more profound knowledge...

Understanding the glory thereof, and that salvation,

Which has been accomplished and fulfilled in The Son of Man...

Even as it was from the foundation of the world, Where your names had been written in blood...

With The Blood of The Lamb who was slain.

/0/0 From God The Father and YahuShua HaMashiach, Jesus The Christ, our Lord and Savior -A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to HearWalking in the Footsteps of My Passion cont.

For in many things, you are counted as last partakers by the Jews and among the men in the churches... But I tell you, I have made you first partakers! I am The Lord... And I do what is right and good in My eyes.

For those, who diligently seek To abide in The Son of Salvation, shall do so...

Even these same ones shall become a living testament

To those without knowledge...

Soon taken up...

Becoming also an ensign to the nations,When they have departed and can not be found.

In the same way, you shall also be first partakers of these spring feasts of The Lord, supping from the table of knowledge, with understanding and joy in The Beloved. For in this is the Scripture fulfilled and My will made manifest...

Those accounted as first shall be last...

And those mocked and persecuted for My name’s sake, And because of this Word, of which I have spoken and you have received,

Shall be first partakers of My glory...

Even the first to sit at My table before the time, Supping from the plate of My knowledge,

Drinking from the cup of My understanding, in My presence...

Until the day you come to rest fully in My bosom, In the house of The Lord.

Amen.

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 1: INTRODUCTION

God’s ultimate plan in the salvation of mankind begins with, and is built upon, Passover. The Old Testament Passover (Exodus 12:5-14) was a foreshadowing of events to come and by what means we must be redeemed and forgiven of our sins...”our deliverance from the penalty of sin and death...death has passed over us.”

The whole of the Word of God rests solidly on Jesus Christ, being the Carpenter and Fashioner, author and Finisher, the Beginning and the End...the Fulfillment of all Things.

Jesus was with God at creation...Jesus is the Beginning of all things.

And God said, Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. ~ Genesis :6

All things were made by Him; and without Him, was not anything made that was made. ~ John :

God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. ~ Hebrews :-

He was there at our formation, our Carpenter and Fashioner, the very One who breathed into us life (Genesis 2:7). So then, by Him, who made us and gave us life, being formed in His image, shall we also be saved from death, being once again restored to His image....”In Him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John :).

my children, Jesus the Christ, Yeshua is His name, is your Passover! ~ God

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 1: INTRODUCTION cont.

To restore us, once again, Jesus first had to come in our image and live and die as a man...a living sacrifice for our sins. In this way, Jesus became our Passover, the very Passover Lamb that was slain for the sins of the world, so death would no longer have power over us.

Purge out, therefore, the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. ~ Corinthians 5:7

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot. ~ Peter :-

Forasmuch, then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also, Himself, likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil...Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be make like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. ~ Hebrews :,7

I am He who is called the Lamb of God, the Lamb from Heaven without any spot or blemish, given as a ransom for many so that death will pass over you, and you shall live forever. My blood is the blood shed for you to place upon your door, so you may be spared. no one goes to the Father unless they eat of the flesh of the Lamb, and drink His blood. Do this in remembrance of Me and My covenant with you, for I have already accomplished it and sealed it forevermore upon My rising. I am no longer the Lamb, but the Risen one, the Holy one of Israel, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The Lamb was slain, My people redeemed in all the earth. I am risen forever and ever, clothed in glory and praise. So too will My people be clothed in glory, for they are cleansed and will be like the angels of Heaven in that Day.Your Redeemer lives...death has passed over you. The Lamb was slain so you might live. Eat and drink and give thanks in remembrance of Me, and I shall remember you and gather you up and hold you close to Me. Amen. ~ Jesus speaking. [Excerpt from “I Am the Passover and Its Lamb...A new Covenant With Men”, Volume one, Letters from God and His Christ]

Jesus’ sacrifice was a supreme act of love for humanity. Just before the Passover feast that would see His execution, Jesus said that “for this purpose I came to this hour...And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself” (John 12:27, 32). Jesus’ sacrifice is the pivotal event in God’s plan to save humanity. Speaking of His certain death, Christ said He, referring to Himself as the Son of Man, must be “lifted up” (crucified) even as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so that all those who believe in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:14-16).

This important event, Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, laid the foundation for the remaining annual Holy Days and festivals. It is the most important step in God’s plan.

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 1: INTRODUCTION cont.

The meaning of the Hebrew Word “Pesach”, and Greek Word “Pascha”The Hebrew “pesach” means a “passing over”, a pretermission, an exemption (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance - #6453). It is derived from #6453, pasach, to hop, skip over, or spare. The Greek “pascha”, Strong’s #3957, means the Passover, the day, the festival or special sacrifices connected with it. The KJV incorrectly translated Passover as “Easter” in Acts :, but other translations have written it correctly.

And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ~ Exodus :-

PART 2: THE PASSOVER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

After many years of cruel slavery under the Egyptian Pharaoh, God heard the cries of the Israelites...“God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them” (Exodus :-5). God chose Moses to bring forth His people out of Egypt, and God also chose Aaron, Moses’ brother, to help Moses accomplish this. Moses and Aaron brought the Lord’s request, to free the Israelites, before Pharaoh, but Pharaoh did not respect the Hebrew God, nor did Pharaoh care for the Israelites; and Pharaoh refused God’s command. “Then the Lord said unto Moses, now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land” (Exodus 6:). Through many plagues, God demonstrated His incredible power to Pharaoh, but Pharaoh still did not hearken. The final plague, cast on Egypt, was the death of all the firstborn of Egypt, both of men and beasts (Exodus 11:5), yet the Lord allowed the Israelites to escape this unscathed...

And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house. And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. Ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats. And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening....

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 2: THE PASSOVER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT cont.

....And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are. ~ Exodus :-

Through faith, moses kept the Passover.

Through faith he* kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest He that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. ~ Hebrews : [*He is referring to Moses].

The Passover feast was and is held on the fourteenth day of the first month (nisan) of the Hebrew calendar.

Only those Hebrews, who were ceremonially clean, who were circumcised in the flesh, were allowed to partake of the Passover. Strangers were not allowed to eat of the Passover. In Joshua 5, Israel had to be circumcised before they observed the Passover at Gilgal.

And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the Passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof. ~ Exodus :

PART 2: THE PASSOVER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT (CONT)

The Passover feast of the Old Testament commemorates Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. The Old Testament Passover is a memorial to God passing over the houses of the children in Israel when He smote the firstborn of man and beast in Egypt. The Passover of the Old Testament commemorates Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. The Passover is not a memorial to the exodus of Israel from Egypt.

...And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ~ Exodus :-

observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto the Lord thy God. For in the month of Abib, the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night...But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place His name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the Passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. ~ Deuteronomy 6:,6

Passover involved purification and preparation of many things, but especially of the heart. In the Old Testament Passover, purification rituals were required for all who partook of the Passover feast. But most importantly, we must “prepare our hearts to seek God” as Hezekiah prayed (verse below).

For they could not keep it (the Passover) at that time, because the priest had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem...then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord...for there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified. Therefore, the Levites had the charge of the killing of the Passovers for everyone that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord. For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the Passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord pardon every one that prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary. And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people...then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people. And their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, even unto Heaven. ~ Chronicles 0:,5,7-0,7

For the priests and Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the Passover for all the children of captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves. And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat, and kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy. For the Lord had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel. Ezra 6:0-

PART 2: THE PASSOVER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT cont.

The Israelites were instructed to teach their children regarding the Passover feast. And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, Who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses....~ Exodus :6-7

The Passover lamb was sacrificed and eaten. The importance of the Passover lamb was evident by the specific instructions God gave regarding the feast. The male lamb was to be without spot or blemish. One Passover lamb was sacrificed for each household unless the household was too small, then they were to share it with their neighbors. The lamb’s blood was sprinkled on the houses. Then the lamb was to be cooked a certain way and eaten a certain way. God even gave instructions as to how to dispose of what was left after the meal...”let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire” (Exodus ).

And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. ~ Exodus :

Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the Passover. ~ Exodus :

The Blood of the Passover lamb saved the Israelites from God’s wrath.God has always required blood sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins, allowing His people to escape His wrath. In the Feast of Passover, God required the blood of a lamb, without spot or blemish, to save His people from wrath.

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ~ Exodus :

God instructed the Israelites to keep this feast forever. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ~ Exodus :

Note: God said we shall keep the Passover Feast forever. We are still to keep this feast today, according to the New Covenant in Christ, who is the fulfillment of Passover. Christ has become our Passover, and we observe this day in remembrance of Him. We are, by no means, to observe Passover as in the Old Testament. This would be to deny Christ’s incredible sacrifice.

PART 2: THE PASSOVER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT cont.

So, My children of Zion, celebrate Passover, but not as in the days of Moses, for even I, Christ the Lord, did keep this Sabbath before My death...and by My death and resurrection as the Lamb, did I become the new Passover, sacrificed for all. Celebrate Passover as a remembrance and as a thanksgiving of you and I united. For in the past, you were separated from Me...now we are together again, forever in the kingdom prepared by the Father. Know this, even Passover has passed away...I am the Passover, for he who believes in Me has everlasting life. Keep this Sabbath as commanded by the Father. Passover as it was written in the days of Moses, do it not. Remember Me, and embrace and teach My covenant, and give thanks. The Passover as it was written is a sign post. Read its writing, and have understanding. Take its meaning to heart. Your Redeemer lives...death has passed over you. The Lamb was slain so you might live. Eat and drink and give thanks in remembrance of Me, and I shall remember you and gather you up, and hold you close to Me. Amen. ~ Jesus [Excerpt from “I Am the Passover and Its Lamb...A new Covenant With Men” - Volume one - Letters from God and His Christ]

PART 3: THE PASSOVER OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

Jesus, Himself, kept the Passover prior to and during His ministry. His parents, His disciples and His followers also kept the Passover before and after the crucifixion. However, after Jesus’ crucifixion, the followers of Christ now observed Passover as Christ had taught them, in remembrance of Him. They did not keep the Passover of the Old Testament but observed the new Passover, with the new symbols set forth by Christ, of which Jesus Christ had fulfilled on the cross.

The Passover Feast was observed before Jesus’ crucifixion, by Jesus, His parents and His followers.

now His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother knew not of it. ~ Luke :-

PART 3: THE PASSOVER OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

The Passover Feast was observed before Jesus’ crucifixion, by Jesus, His parents and His followers.

now the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto Him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for Thee to eat the Passover? And He said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with My disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. now when the even was come, He sat down with the twelve...And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is My blood of the new Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. ~ Matthew 6:7-0 & 6-

The Passover was observed after Jesus’ crucifixion, with the new symbols set forth by Christ...the new Covenant.Jesus, Himself, knowing He came into the world not to condemn the world, but to save it by being a living sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, the Lamb of God, instituted the new Passover symbols we should observe in remembrance of Him, our “Passover” (1 Corinthians 5:7). Below we see an example of the Corinthians keeping Passover, though disrespectfully, with the apostle, Paul, correcting them and teaching them how to keep it properly, with their hearts in the right place.

When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper. For in eating everyone taketh before another his own supper. And one is hungry, and another is drunken. What? Have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you. That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread. And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat. This is My body, which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of Me. After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood. This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. ~ Corinthians :0-

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLS OF PASSOVER

From the beginning, God required offerings and sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins. Yet this was temporary because the blood of animal sacrifices could never sufficiently purge the sins of man. Only God, Himself, could purge our sins, once for all time, by sending His own Son to live a sinless life as a man, in our image...sacrificed for us...the Just for the unjust...the Righteous for the transgressor...the Upright for the fallen.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire, Mine ears hast thou opened. Burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come. In the volume of the Book it is written of Me. I delight to do Thy will, o My God. Yea, Thy law is within My heart. ~ Psalm 0:6-

But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building. neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? ~ Hebrews :-5

The penalty of sin is death. Jesus Christ, “the Lamb of God”, has caused death to “pass over” us because of His sacrifice for our sin, having died in our place on the cross.

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. ~ Corinthians 5:7

The great sacrifice of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, our Passover, was of such a kind, that only through the power of God, by His Messiah, could the sins of mankind be atoned for, by the precious blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb of God without spot or blemish...sacrificed for all through His death, even death on the cross...so all might be raised from death, having been freed from the power of sin which is death, by the resurrection of Christ Jesus, whereby He abolished sin and conquered death, forever. This is the New Covenant.

And for this cause He is the Mediator of the new Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. ~ Hebrews :-5

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLS OF PASSOVER (cont)

God would save His people from His wrath and judgment by the blood of a sacrificial lamb.In the Old Testament, God required the blood of a sacrificial lamb to spare His people from His wrath and the judgment He would pour out on Egypt. Likewise, by the New Covenant, we are spared from God’s wrath and judgment by the shed blood of Christ, our Passover.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ~ Exodus :-

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. ~ Romans 5:-

Through the precious blood of Christ, we will escape not only God’s “judgment or condemnation” for our sins, but we will also escape His impending “judgments” (John 5:24), during the seven-year period of tribulation (Daniel 9:27) to come, being taken up to Heaven for a short time*, while God’s judgments fall upon the whole earth (Book of Revelation). *Please see the “Rapture or Gathering Up” Study at www.trumpetcallofgod.com for more information.

The Sacrificial Lamb must be a lamb without blemish (sin). In Exodus 12:5, God required that the sacrificial lamb be without spot or blemish. Likewise, we are told many times in the New Testament, that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, was without spot or blemish, meaning He was completely void of sin.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. Ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats. ~ Exodus 12:5

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot. ~ Peter :-

For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. ~ Corinthians 5:

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your consciences from dead works to serve the living God? ~ Hebrews :

[Jesus] Hear the Word of the Lord, the risen One, your redeemer: I had come to you as a man, clothed in the flesh of men, humble, My glory set aside, God become man, living as all have lived in the body, but not as man lives in the spirit...for I am clean, having no sin in My body nor in My spirit, having obeyed every command of the Father...blameless. [God] Behold the Lamb of God! Without spot or blemish, sent to die for the sins of the world, bearing the full weight of transgression in His own body. My Son, You are, and will always be, the Risen Lamb of God, whereby You took the leaven of the world, having completely unleavened all men once for all time by Your blood, having been the perfect sacrifice for sin, acceptable to God, whereby men have been reconciled to the Father...they themselves becoming, once again, My sons and daughters, free to enter the Garden and My love from which they shall never again be separated...their new life lived in, and for, Christ Jesus, the Lord and Savior, in whom I am well pleased. ~ God and Jesus speaking [Excerpt from “Unleavened” - Volume Five - Letters from God and His Christ]

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLS OF PASSOVER cont.

The Israelites would be responsible for killing the sacrificial lamb. The Passover lamb was to be killed by “the congregation of Israel”. God stated this in His instructions regarding Passover in Exodus 12. Likewise, the nation of Israel was responsible for the crucifixion death of Jesus Christ.

And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. ~ Exodus :6

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death. ~ Matthew 7:

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. ~ Matthew 7:0

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let Him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath He done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let Him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person. See ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. ~ Matthew 7:-5

...Those, who say the Jews condemned The Christ Jesus to death, speak rightly, for I, God Almighty, know all the works of men, and in that day did I harden their hearts to accomplish My purpose in the salvation of men. In the days of Abraham, even unto Moses, did I establish My people as the chosen to give sacrifice for the cleansing of sin... And so they only, and only they, did I chose to carry out My will, according to the new Testament I have set forth with all men in Christ Jesus. I gave them The Lamb, without blemish, for them to sacrifice for the cleansing of all men. no other nation would I allow to carry out My will in this, so all that written by the prophets of old would come to pass, and all that written of The Son of Man would be fulfilled in Christ Jesus. ~ God [Excerpt from “Wisdom Given to Timothy Regarding Those Who Killed Jesus the Christ” - Volume one, Letters from God and His Christ]

nothing of the sacrificial lamb should remain until morning.God commanded the Israelites, regarding the Passover meal, that none of it should remain until morning. Likewise, Jesus’ body was removed from the cross near evening, before the beginning of a high holy day, the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. ~ Exodus :0

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that Sabbath day was a high day,) besought Pilate their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away. ~ John :

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple. He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out of the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.” ~ Matthew 7:57-60

We are to eat unleavened bread with the Passover meal.In Exodus 12, God commanded the Israelites to eat unleavened bread with the Passover feast. Also, according to the New Covenant, we are to partake in the breaking of unleavened bread with our Passover meal. This signifies our acceptance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. For He was our perfect, sinless sacrifice, the “unleavened bread”, broken for us for the forgiveness of our sins, which is also signified in the eating of the unleavened bread, that we are now also unleavened, having obtained forgiveness of our sins through Him.

And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ~ Exodus :

Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, go and prepare us the Passover, that we may eat. And they said unto Him, Where wilt Thou that we prepare?...And He said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer...And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves...And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you. THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLS OF PASSOVER cont.

Only those, who were ceremonially “clean” and “circumcised”, were allowed to partake of the Passover. Strangers were not allowed to eat of the Passover. In the Passover of the Old Testament, God commanded that His people be “ceremonially clean” and also be circumcised. He also told the Israelites that no stranger may partake of the Passover. Likewise, today, we are not to take the observation of the Feast lightly. We are to observe the Passover, of the New Covenant, with reverence and joy and thankfulness for Christ and His great sacrifice. This spiritual cleanliness intimates the “clean” of the Old Testament Passover. We must be spiritually “clean”, truly being “circumcised” in our hearts, to partake of the Passover of the New Covenant. To observe the Passover, unworthily, is sin.

And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. ~ Exodus :

But he is a Jew, which is one outwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter, whose praise is not of men, but of God. ~ Romans :

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ~ Corinthians 7:

Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded. ~ James :

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ~ John :

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ~ Corinthians 5:

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. ~ Corinthians :7

Passover shall be unto God’s people a memorial.God tells the Israelites, even from the very first Passover, that they would keep this day as a memorial forever. In the same manner, we are to observe Passover, with the new symbols instituted by Christ, as a memorial for Christ’s crucifixion. He was crucified on Passover and has become our Passover. Therefore, we, as believers, memorialize Him by observing Passover. He tells us to do this in remembrance of Him.

For in the past, you were separated from Me...now we are together again, forever in the Kingdom prepared by the Father. ~ Jesus [Excerpt from “I Am the Passover and Its Lamb...A new Covenant With Men” - Volume one, Letters from God and His Christ]

I am He who is called the Lamb of God, the Lamb from Heaven without any spot or blemish, given as a ransom for many so that death will pass over you, and you shall live forever. THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLS OF PASSOVER cont.

Through faith, we keep Passover.Through faith, Moses kept Passover, believing that God would indeed deliver him and the Israelites from Egypt. Likewise, should Christ’s church observe the Passover with faith in God and faith in Christ, fully accepting and acknowledging Jesus’ sacrifice for us, until He comes again.

Through faith he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest He that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. ~ Hebrews :

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come. ~ Corinthians :6

Jesus Christ Is The “Lamb Of God”

Jesus Christ, our Passover, is the Lamb of God. He is the Lamb, without blemish or sin, slain for our sakes so we may have eternal life with Him. Through Jesus Christ’s own shed blood, He reconciled us to our Father in Heaven, allowing us once again be the children of God....Thank you, Jesus!

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold The Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. ~ John :

And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints. ~ Revelation 5:6-

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever. ~ Revelation 5:-

Behold the Lamb of God! ~ God speaking [Excerpt from “Unleavened” - Volume Five, Letters from God and His Christ]

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 5: CHRONOLOGY OF JESUS’ CRUCIFIxION

The chronology of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection is critically important because the first three Holy Days, commanded by God that we keep forever (Leviticus 23), are fulfilled through these events. He was crucified on Passover, “slept” in His tomb during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and was resurrected on First Fruits. Jesus “slept” in His tomb three days and three nights as He, Himself, spoke of in Matthew 12:40, saying,...”the Son of man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”. The “heart of the earth” refers to His tomb, or grave, not the man-made “hell” most churches proclaim. To say that One such as Jesus, being completely sinless and pure, being the Son of God, would descend into the lake of fire, which is saved for the wicked, or worse yet, He somehow descended into a fictitious pit of torment...this is blasphemy! “Hell” is the grave. Jesus descended into His grave for three nights and three days. (To better understand, please read the Letter, “Proclaim not the Hell of the Church of Men...In Their Words is no Mercy Found, only the Makings of Satan” - Volume Four, Letters from God and His Christ).

The crucifixion transpired on Passover.Scripture, very clearly, shows that Jesus Christ was crucified on Passover. This is especially important to note because Jesus is our Passover, solidifying further that He is, indeed, our Messiah.

now the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto Him, Where wilt Thou that we prepare for Thee to eat the Passover? And He said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto Him, The Master saith, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at thy house with My disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. ~ Matthew 6:7-

But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the Passover. Will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? ~ John 18:39

Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion

Please note: The Hebrew calendar observes Holy days from the evening of one day to the evening of the next. Therefore, Passover occurred from sundown on nisan to sundown on nisan 5, and so on. The Feast of Unleavened Bread began at sundown on nisan 5 and lasted seven days, ending at sundown on nisan . Please see the chart on page .

In Leviticus :5-6, we see that Passover begins the days of Unleavened Bread, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread is celebrated for the seven days following Passover. In The Bible, these eight days were often referred to as either Passover as a whole, or The Feast of Unleavened Bread as a whole... “now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover” (Luke :).

Evening of nisan 14 (Tuesday evening): Jesus ate an evening Passover meal with His disciples and instituted the New Covenant symbols...”And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat. This is My body. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is My blood of the new Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 6:6-). Tuesday night, after their meal, Jesus was betrayed by Judas, and arrested in the Garden of Gethsamane. During the night, Jesus was brought before the high priest (John , Luke , Matthew 6, Mark ).

PART 5: CHRONOLOGY OF JESUS’ CRUCIFIxION

Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion cont.

Early morning of nisan 14 to evening of nisan 15 (Wednesday morning to Thursday evening): Jesus was brought before Pilate early in the morning on Wednesday (Mark 14:2 & 15:1). After enduring scourging, mocking and severe beatings during the day on Wednesday, Jesus was crucified and died around 3 p.m...”And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani? That is to say, My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save Him. Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost” (Matthew 7:6-50). This was the preparation day for the annual Sabbath, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, not the weekly Sabbath...(Mark 5:, Luke :5).The bodies could not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day...”for that sabbath day was a high day” (John :), so Pilate besought that their legs be broken. The legs of the two criminals, crucified with Jesus, were broken, but Jesus’ legs were not broken because He was already dead (John 19:31-33). Jesus’ body was then placed in the tomb just before sunset...”When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple. He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out of the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed” (Matthew 7:57-60). In Matthew 12:40, Jesus tells us...“As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”. Wednesday night was the first night and Thursday was the first day that Jesus slept in the tomb.

Evening of nisan 15 to evening of nisan 16 (Thursday evening to Friday evening): This was the “high day” Sabbath, the first day of Unleavened Bread (John : & Leviticus :-7). (The Feast of Unleavened Bread began the night before at sundown). It is described as the day after the “Day of Preparation”...”now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate” (Matthew 7:6). Thursday night was the second night and Friday was the second day that Jesus slept in the tomb.

Evening of nisan 16 to evening of nisan 17 (Friday evening to Saturday evening): The high-day Sabbath now past, the women bought and prepared spices for anointing Jesus’ body before resting on the weekly Sabbath day, which began at sunset on Friday...”And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him” (Mark 6:)...and “And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment” (Luke :56). Friday night was the third night and Saturday was the third day that Jesus slept in the tomb. He arose at the end of the Sabbath, on Saturday, at sunset.

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 5: CHRONOLOGY OF JESUS’ CRUCIFIxION cont.

Chronology of Jesus’ Crucifixion cont.

Evening of nisan 17 (Saturday evening): The women rested on the weekly Sabbath (Luke 23:56), according to the Fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). Jesus rose at the end of the Sabbath, exactly three days and three nights after His burial...”Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from Thee. But He answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (Matthew :-0). This day was the Feast of First Fruits, which was observed on the day after the weekly Sabbath following Passover (Leviticus 23). Jesus arose Saturday evening, at sunset, this being the beginning of First Fruits. This is why Jesus is called the “first fruits” of those that slept...”But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” ( Corinthians 5:0).

nisan 18 day (Sunday): The women brought the prepared spices early in the morning, and at that time Jesus had already left His tomb...”now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them” (Luke : & John 0:), finding that Jesus had already risen...”And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus” (Luke :-, also Matthew :-6, Mark 6:-6 & John 0:). He did not rise Sunday morning, but at sunset the day before.

Why is the true chronology so important?

This does away with “Good Friday”, “Easter Sunday” and one of the false reasons the churches use to justify changing the Sabbath to Sunday. By rightly dividing the Word in the Bible, God’s glory is revealed! Showing all that whatsoever God does is very purposeful, precise and always points to Jesus, for He is the fulfillment of all things! Amen.

PART 6: MODERN CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF PASSOVER

The new Testament Passover is a memorial of the death of Jesus Christ as the true Passover Lamb. We eat the broken bread and drink the wine in remembrance of His broken body and shed blood. His sacrifice makes possible the forgiveness of our sins. By partaking of the Passover symbols of bread and wine, we are proclaiming our continual faith and rememberance in Jesus’ sacrifice...for He is worthy of all our thanks and praise.

now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto Him, Where wilt Thou that we prepare for Thee to eat the Passover? After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new Testament in My blood. This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. ~ Corinthians :-7

The new Testament Passover is a memorial of the death of Jesus Christ as the true Passover Lamb.

[Excerpt from “I Am the Passover and Its Lamb...A new Covenant With Men”, Volume one, Letters from God and His Christ]

When we partake of the Passover symbols, we again commemorate the death of Jesus. The Christian Passover is a reminder of our newly restored relationship with God, our Father, in and by Christ, who has restored us to glory...even now, being sons and daughters of the Most High God, once again and forever. Amen.

We are to continue observing the Holy Days (feasts) as we are taught by Christ and His apostles.Paul, speaking to the Corinthians, told them to keep the feast. He also told them to keep the “ordinances” as he had taught them. Paul was not only teaching the Corinthians, but he was also teaching us, the faithful followers of Christ, to also observe the Holy Days (feasts), and to observe the “ordinances” according to how he taught them. The teachings of the New Testament not only applied to the believers of the apostles’ time, but also to anyone, today, who truly desires to follow Christ, faithfully abiding in His holy doctrine set forth in the Scriptures.

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ~ Corinthians 5:7-

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. now, I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you...~ Corinthians :-

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come. ~ Corinthians :6

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 6: MODERN CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF PASSOVER cont.

We are to eat unleavened bread and drink wine for the Passover “meal”. (Children may have grape juice).According to the New Covenant, we are to partake in the breaking of unleavened bread with our Passover meal. This symbolizes our acceptance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. For He was our perfect, sinless sacrifice, the “unleavened bread”, broken for us for the forgiveness of our sins, which is also signified in the eating of the unleavened bread, that we are now also unleavened, having obtained forgiveness of our sins through Him. We are also to drink the wine, which symbolizes Christ’s shed blood for the remission of sins.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread. And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat. This is My body, which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of Me. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. ~ Corinthians :-7

This do in remembrance of Me. Likewise, also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you. ~ Luke :7-, 5, 7, -0

I am the living bread which came down from Heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever. And the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ~ John 6:5

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. ~ Corinthians 5:7

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 6: MODERN CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF PASSOVER cont.

Only those, who are truly “circumcised” in their hearts, should observe Passover. In the Old Testament observance of Passover, only those who were circumcised in the flesh, were allowed to participate in the Passover feast (Exodus 12:48). However, because Jesus is the new Passover, we now keep it according to how He has taught us (Matthew 26:26-28). Christ did not teach that we must be circumcised in our flesh, but that we must be circumcised in our hearts (Romans 2:29). Jesus gave us this example by sharing the Last Supper with His disciples, who were circumcised in their flesh, but most importantly, they were circumcised in their hearts. Observing Passover is for those who are truly circumcised in their hearts...this is the true circumcision. Therefore, observing Passover is not for unbelievers, but for believers only.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. ~ Corinthians 6:-

THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOVER

PART 6: MODERN CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF PASSOVER cont.

Jesus, Himself, knowing He came into the world not to condemn the world, but to save it by being a living sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, the Lamb of God, instituted the new Passover symbols we should observe in remembrance of Him, our “Passover” (1 Corinthians 5:7).

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ~ John 3:16

~ Jesus [Excerpt from “I Am the Passover and Its Lamb...A new Covenant With Men” - Volume one, Letters from God and His Christ]

keep the Passover, Even All Seven Holy Days Set Forth by the Father, and You Will Begin to know and Understand the Glory of God and His Christ

[God] Thus says the Lord God of Israel: Keep the Passover. Keep it according to the New Covenant. Keep it in faith and love. Forsake these vanities of men, false doctrines taken from that which is unseemly in the eyes of the Lord your God. Unleaven yourselves and give Me perfect praise, pure worship in Christ, your Sanctuary. Keep this Feast of Unleaven also, seven days as an offering of thanks for Him who I sent to you, the very same who has removed all leaven from within you.

my children, Jesus the Christ, Yeshua is His name, is your Passover!

How is it that you do not remember Him according to how He, Himself, has shown you? Stop following the world and the perverse doctrines of men. Return to your First Love, and remember. For upon this one sacrifice rests the salvation of all mankind...the Lamb of God who has taken away the sins of the world. Yet I do not see you, even you who call yourselves by the Christ’s name, keeping that which I, even I, have set forth that you should keep, even all Seven (the Holy Days). Know you not, in these Seven is wisdom and understanding...yea, the very mind of God? Yet you choose vanities on top of vanities. You are a perverse and adulterous generation, even all of you who call yourselves by My own name, the name I have given My Son, the Holy One of Israel.

[Jesus] I tell you the truth, the time is coming, and is already here, when I shall pass through the door and reap, for the harvest is ripe, and many shall be left wanting, in tears. So then, prepare yourselves and make ready, for the age of men is finished and judgement shall reign seven times. And then the end shall come, which shall also be the beginning. I am not of this world...My children, you are of this world. And so, all those, who love and accept Me, are no longer of this world, for I reside in them. And if I am in you, how is it you do not follow Me? For if you follow Me, you would do as I did, and learn from those I sent out bearing the Gospel of My own name. Follow Me, beloved, follow Me!...I shall bring you into glory. I am coming quickly...yea, I am already here. Though you do not yet behold My face, I have never left you, beloved. Yet I am coming quickly, and all those, who are truly converted in their hearts, shall be caught up and never leave Me, nor shall they be separated from Me ever again. And these same ones shall also return with Me in all My glory, and not just them, but all those who I shall gather up, who did not love their lives more than Me, who sang the song of their new hearts, even unto death, even all these during the times of great tribulation. So then, beloved, even all those who call of themselves by My own name as I had received of the Father, keep the Passover in remembrance of Me, even all of the Father’s most Holy Days, according to Me, and you shall begin to know My glory.

Behold, I am coming quickly to fulfill and restore all things!

As I am holy, may you also be holy, and do that which is holy.

Know this: Four are fulfilled - salvation assured, sin and death overcome, the Spirit given. Three are coming quickly - sin destroyed, evil bound, My seat taken, judgement...

A new day, even one thousand years.

Then a short season....consummation....An everlasting day in the Lord.

Amen and amen.

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 1. INTRODUCTION

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is also known as the “Day of Redemption” or Yom haPeduth. God ordained this day, the holiest day of the Jewish year, for sin atonement and sin removal ceremonies. The Day of Atonement falls on the tenth day of the Jewish month of Tishri (usually late September or early October). This day, being one of God’s holy days, is just one of seven holy days that allow God’s people a glimpse of His total plan of salvation for mankind. When God’s Holy Day Plan is understood, and followed by His people, we are given a chance to have a richer, more abundant, spiritual connection to our Lord.In the Old Testament, God gave specific instructions about how these ceremonies were to be carried out, and only to be performed by the high priest. In the New Testament, Jesus becomes our sin atonement, once for all time, being both our High Priest and the sin atonement itself. The symbolic meaning of the Day of Atonement is two-fold: The first part was fulfilled at Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection, and will be completed upon His second coming, when the Lord comes in power and great glory. While other cultures rely on their works and their observances of this day for the removal of their sins, we, as Christians, can observe this day with all thankfulness, knowing that our sins have already been atoned for by Christ. The Day of Atonement, for modern-day Christians, is a day of “afflicting our souls” by fasting, repentance, abstinence and no work, a Holy Sabbath to the Lord, showing in our own bodies that we put nothing before our Lord, and that we might suffer, in some small way, as our Lord Jesus first suffered for us...let us take up our crosses and follow Him.

PART 2: OBSERVANCE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. And ye shall do no work in that same day, for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God. For whatsoever soul that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no work, a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your soul. In the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate sabbath.” ~ Leviticus :6-

Yom kippur was the day for the atonement and removal of sins. For the Israelites, this day was critically important. Once a year, the High Priest would offer atonement sacrifices for the people. He had to make atonement for himself also. The High Priest had to perform this ritual every year because one single sacrifice would not suffice. Another key element of Yom Kippur is the Kol Nedrei, or Annulment of Vows ceremony. This ceremony alleviated anxiety by releasing the Israelites of all personal vows, oaths, goals, ambitions, unthinking words, etc., that these should be made null and void and “dust of the earth”.

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 2: OBSERVANCE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT cont.

The High Priest atoned for the sins of Israel by special ceremonies ordained by God.The high priest* began preparing for this day a week early. He stayed in the high priest chamber in the temple court and studied the laws of the Day of Atonement. It was very important the priest did not make a mistake. An error could cost him his life and the nation of Israel’s atonement. The high priest spoke a word this day that was unspeakable all other times. During the services, he voiced the holy name of Yahuveh, Yahuveh or Yahuveh ten times during the ceremony. When the people heard the holy name they fell on the ground in reverence. The interior of Solomon’s temple was rectangular, about 35 feet wide and 140 feet long. It was divided into three parts. The priest would have entered the porch, which was about 17 feet deep. He would then pass through gilded cypress doors decorated with flowers, palm trees, and cherubim, and enter the main room of the temple, often called the Holy Place. Beyond a set of olive wood doors lay the room no ordinary priest would ever see. This was the Holy of Holies. It was a perfect cube, with each side measuring nearly 35 feet. In it was the Ark containing the two tablets of the Ten Commandments. The Holy of Holies was entered only once a year, on the Day of Atonement, when the high priest made atonement for the people. This was the great solemn day that the high priest put aside his official robes and dressed in a simple white garment. To fulfill the law of the Bible, he wore eight garments on this day (Leviticus 8:7; Exodus 28:33-35): The golden crown on his forehead, the breastplate on his heart, the outer robe decorated with pomegranates and bells (the people listened for the bells while the priest was in the Holy of Holies to be sure the priest was still alive), the apron or vest, four white garments made from white flax, the belt, the turban, and pants. He then offered a bullock as a sin-offering for himself and the priesthood. He would fill the censer with live coals from the altar, then enter into the Holy of Holies, where he placed incense on the coals. The incense sent forth a cloud of smoke over the mercy seat, which served as a covering for the ark of the covenant. The high priest took some of the blood of the bullock and sprinkled it on the mercy seat and on the ground in front of the ark cleansing them from defilement. The burnt offerings were: seven male lambs, each a year old, one young bull, and one ram. The sin offering was one male goat. Every step the priest took was precisely scripted. The fast, the penitential prayers, the Bible readings, the formulas of confession, and every part of the Day of Atonement ritual emphasize one single theme - to relieve one from the burden of sin - acknowledging transgressions, declaring repentance through a process of confession, and then making atonement before God in order to obtain His forgiveness. While fasting is not explicitly mentioned, the Bible ordains for this day, “You shall afflict your souls”, and from early time the rabbis interpreted this to mean fasting. Fasting is clearly implied in Joshua 7:5-13; Jeremiah 6:26 and Lamentations 2:10.

Also, on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the Azazel goat, or scapegoat was taken out into the wilderness after having all the sins of the Israelites ceremonially placed on it (Leviticus 16:10, 21-22), and then released. Symbolically, the Israelites’ sin and guilt were transferred onto the goats and completely removed from their presence.

*Aaron, the brother of Moses, was the first high priest; Aaron’s descendants thereafter.

an Interesting note:The priests used to bind a shining crimson strip of cloth on the outside door of the temple. If the strip of cloth turned into the white color, they would rejoice; if it did not turn white they were full of sorrow and shame (Tractate Yoma 67a**).

Jewish literature explains the Shekhina glory of God*** left the temple forty years prior to its destruction. Three signs occurred to show evidence of this: 1. The western candle of the menorah refused to burn continually.2. The doors of the temple opened of themselves.3. The red wool no longer turned white supernaturally. This is especially significant because it indicated that God was no longer forgiving the sins of His people. The people were sorrowful because they began to realize more and more that the sacrifice of Yom Kippur did not have the power to cleanse their sinful hearts. That very year Jesus started His ministry, the very year that the blood of bulls and goats was no longer accepted as a sacrifice for atonement of sin!

**Yoma is the fifth tractate of Seder Moed (“Order of Festivals”) of the Mishnah and of the Talmud. It is concerned mainly with the laws of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, on which Jews atone for their sins from the previous year. It consists of eight chapters and has a Gemara (“Completion”) from both the Jerusalem Talmud and the Babylonian Talmud. ~ Wilkipedia

***Shekhinah is the English spelling of a feminine Hebrew language word that means the dwelling or settling, and is used to denote the dwelling or settling presence of God, especially in the Temple in Jerusalem. ~ Wilkipedia

PART 3: OBSERVANCE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

“now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them.” ~ Acts 7:

Jesus Christ and the apostles observed Yom kippur, the day of fasting, as did the Israelites of the Old Testament.Although this day of fasting is not noted by its name, Acts 27:9 is referring to the Day of Atonement. Jesus and His apostles kept all of the Holy Days as God had commanded Moses.

The meaning of the Day of atonement changed after Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection.Jesus is the world’s Redeemer, saving us from the consequences of our sins against God by His death and resurrection on the cross, thereby being our “atonement” for sin. To do this, Jesus had to become our High Priest, the sacrifice for the atonement for our sins, and our “scapegoat”. He fulfilled both the position of High Priest and the atonement at His death on the cross and resurrection. He will fulfill the position of “scapegoat” at His Second Coming. THE

PART 3: OBSERVANCE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT cont.

One sacrifice made by Jesus was all that was required for the sin atonement of all people, for all time. God the Father designated Jesus, the perfect “author of our salvation (Hebrews 2:10), to be our High Priest (Hebrews 5:10); and He is our High Priest forever (Hebrews 6:20). Jesus became “...a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God,...that He might make atonement for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:17). He “...entered the Most Holy Place [Heaven] once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12) - that is, the eternal forgiveness of our sins (Colossians 1:14), for those who believe in Him (John 3:15).

PART 4: MODERN-DAY CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

Should we, as Christians living today, still keep the Holy Days of the Old Testament, as God commanded in Leviticus?Yes, we should keep the Holy Days as God commanded, because we know that in the New Testament, Jesus and His apostles also kept these Holy Days. Although the Day of Atonement is not stated specifically in Acts 27:9, we know that this is referring to this day because of the words “the fast” which referred to a special day of fasting, the Day of Atonement. Therefore, we know Paul kept this day as a “Christian”. The Bible has been, and always will be, the ultimate guidebook for true Christian-living and the apostles are the examples to live by.Jesus’ apostles not only observed the Holy Days before Jesus’ death and resurrection, but also after. By this we know that these Holy Days did not “pass away”, as some modern-day churches teach, but that they were, and are still, important for anyone who wants to follow and honor Christ.

Our observance of the Day of atonement, as Christians, is different than that of the Israelites in the Old Testament.Because Jesus Christ fulfilled the atonement for sin required of God, we no longer have to keep the ceremonial rituals as described in Leviticus, although the fast is still required as Paul noted in Acts 27:9. Fasting includes not eating or drinking anything from sundown the day before the Day of Atonement until sundown on the Day of Atonement. Also, because of Paul’s obvious distress in this verse, we see that we are supposed to abstain from work...”when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them”. Because this day is a Holy Day, we should also keep ourselves “pure” and abstain from sexual relations on this day. Children under twelve, or the age you set in your own home, are exempt from the fast, but the “no work” rule still applies.

On this day, pray and be merry, giving thanks and praise...for the Lord reigns on earth as in Heaven

and has made you worthy by the blood of the Lamb. Amen.

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 4: MODERN-DAY CHRISTIAN OBSERVANCE OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

many Christians have added their own observances to the Day of atonement.Although the following suggestions are not noted in the Bible, adding your own “gifts” to the Lord’s day, observances that both bless the Lord and your family, are encouraged. One suggestion is regarding the day before the Day of Atonement. Before sundown, the day before the Day of Atonement, have a special light meal to prepare for the fast. Many families bless their children and families after the meal. Say a prayer over each of your children praying specifically for their needs, gifts, talents. Some people like to listen to Christian music, hymns, etc. to worship the Lord on the Day of Atonement. Also, reading verses about forgiveness are encouraged.

There are four important observances for all Christians to keep on the Day of atonement. While there are many ways to honor the Lord on this day, the four most important observances for all Christians to keep are: Fasting*, prayer, no work, and no sexual relations. Each observance has its purpose. For instance, fasting “afflicts our soul”. As Jesus once suffered for us, so should we also be willing to give a day of remembrance to Him. The Day of Atonement is also a day of reflection, repentance, forgiveness and thankfulness through prayer. Prayer always brings us closer to God, no matter the day, but especially on God’s Holy Days.An obvious reason for abstaining from work is because of the fast itself, but also we should be willing to put the Lord first in our lives, everyday, but especially on the Day of Atonement. Therefore, He also needs to come before our careers, housework, schoolwork, etc. Abstaining from sexual relations on this day acknowledges that this is a “Holy” day, and should be treated as such. Our willingness to remain pure for this day indicates that we have put God first, instead of giving into our own selfish desires.Observing the Day of Atonement takes genuine determination and willingness, but it is well worth the effort.

*Regarding the Fast of the Day of Atonement: The Fast should be from sundown the day before the Day of Atonement to sundown on the Day of Atonement; no eating of food of any kind, or drinking of water or of any liquids.

PART 5: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLISM OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT.

Our Messiah made two promises before He returned to our Father: He would send the Comforter (which He did at Pentecost) and He would come again. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” ~ John :.

The Day of atonement is, and will be, fulfilled through Christ. The first fulfillment of the Day of Atonement was when Christ gave up His life for us by being our “atonement for sin” on the cross. The second fulfillment of the Day of Atonement is when Christ returns to the earth in full power and glory, establishing His Kingdom.

5

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 5: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLISM OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT cont.

Jesus is our High Priest. In the Old Testament, the high priest was only allowed to perform the Day of Atonement ceremonies. Likewise, in the New Testament we are told that Jesus is our High Priest.God the Father designated Jesus, the perfect “author of our salvation”, to be our High Priest; and He is our High Priest forever. Jesus entered the Most Holy Place (Heaven) and obtained eternal redemption, eternal forgiveness of our sins, for all those who believe in Him. He will “sprinkle” many nations (Isaiah 52:15), as well as the house of Israel (Ezekiel 36:25), thereby cleansing them, just as the High Priest in Israel sprinkled blood on the atonement cover to cleanse the people of their sins and the Levites were sprinkled with water to make them ceremonially clean (Numbers 8:6-7). Hebrews notes that the Levitical offerings could effect only the purification of the flesh. They ceremonially cleansed the sinner, but they could not bring about inward cleansing, the prerequisite for fellowship with God. Just as the high priest had to be sinless to enter the Holy of Holies and live, so Yeshua (Jesus) had to be sinless to ascend to the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exist, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. ~ Hebrews 2:10

For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people. ~ Hebrews 2:17

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered and, once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him and was designated by God to be High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. ~ Hebrews 5:7-10

...He has become a High Priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. ~ Hebrews 6:20

When Christ came as High Priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! ~ Hebrews 9:11-14

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 5: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLISM OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT cont.

Jesus Christ is our atonement for sin.Jesus Christ is the only One who was allowed to have this role for the atonement of sin. Jesus was the perfect man, without any sin or guilt. When He comes again, redemption will then be complete for those who will have believed in and accepted His atonement for their sins (by His death and resurrection).

For this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sin. ~ Matthew 26:28

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Spirit hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood. ~ Acts 20:28

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. ~ Romans 3:25

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. ~ Romans 5:8-9

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. ~ Ephesians 1:7

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. ~ Colossians 1:13-14

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ~ Hebrews 9:12

And to Jesus the Mediator of the new Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. ~ Hebrews 12:24

Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate. ~ Hebrews 13:12

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. ~ 1 Peter 1:2

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. ~ 1 John 1:7

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; (19) but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. ~ 1 Peter 1:18-19

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. ~ Revelation 1:5

Jesus is our “scapegoat”.

56

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 5: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLISM OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT cont.

Jesus Christ is our “scapegoat”.The Azazel goat, or scapegoat, of the Old Testament observance of the Day of Atonement also has a prophetical element. In the Old Testament Day of Atonement, the scapegoat was taken out into the wilderness after having had all the sins of the Israelites ceremonially place on it (Leviticus 16:10; 21-22). The high priest sent the Azazel goat out into the wilderness after he returned from inside the Most Holy place of the Tabernacle. This is a ceremonial preview of Jesus Christ returning from Heaven (or Second Coming), where He shall destroy everything that leads us into sin, along with all the wicked, then binding satan and casting him into the abyss, which will be done after His return from the Most Holy Place, not made by human hands, Heaven.

At His Second Coming, Jesus, the “scapegoat”, will take away everything that leads us into sin1, that is sinful2, that proliferates sin3 and that causes sin4.

1. Jesus will destroy man’s creations that lead them into sin.The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. no earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of His wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. ~ Revelation 6:7-

2. The wicked (sinful) will be judged and condemned by Jesus.“Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite Me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after Me.’ They will also answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment*, but the righteous to eternal life.” ~ Matthew 5:-6

*”Eternal punishment” refers to the second death, a permanent state of death from which one will never awake, forever separated from God and their part in life (not in a “living” state of torment in “hell”). “Hell” means, literally, the grave (also see Volume 4).

57

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 5: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLISM OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT cont.

Jesus Christ is our “scapegoat”. cont.

3. Jesus will destroy all those who proliferate sin by following satan, including the beast and the false prophet. And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.” Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the Rider on the horse and His army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the Rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. ~ Revelation :7-

4. Jesus will bind satan who causes sin.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. ~ Revelation 0:-

many exciting prophecies may be fulfilled on the Day of atonement. The entire ten days from the first day of the Feast of Trumpets through the Day of Atonement are known as the Days of Repentance or the Days of Awe (*which symbolically coincides with Revelation 2:10). These days are possibly a picture of the Rapture (Feast of Trumpets), the Tribulation (*seven days in between), and the Second Coming (Day of Atonement). A future Day of Atonement may just be the day of the Second Coming of Christ** when Jesus will physically return to earth (please see the chart on the following page)! The Bible clearly states Jesus will return immediately after the great tribulation. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. And they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other (Matthew :-). When Christ returns to earth, to establish His Kingdom, it will also be the time of the First Throne Judgment (Roman 2:5-11, Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 20:4).

[*The Feast of Trumpets is celebrated for two days by the Jewish people, then seven days between the end of the Feast of Trumpets to the Day of Atonement, or a total of ten days in all.]

[**Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts. Let the Bridegroom go forth of His chamber, and the bride out of her closet. ~ Joel :5-6]

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 6: THE DAY OF ATONEMENT IN BIBLICAL PROPHECY

An Israelite’s refusal to fast, which resulted in the offender being cut off from the community (Leviticus 23:29), is the Old Testament’s equivalent of any person refusing to repent from when Christ died on the cross until the present day, which will result in the offender being cut off from eternal life (Luke 13:3), but there is forgiveness and mercy and grace to those who have already received Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who gave His life as a ransom for us. Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope and the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2).

T

There is also a suggestion that the nation of Israel will recognize Jesus as their Redeemer (Zechariah 12:10) on the Day of Atonement. If we believe that Christ’s Second Coming may happen on the Day of Atonement, then Israel could very well recognize their Savior on that day, as will many other people. Another viewpoint is that Israel’s national confession and turning to Jesus will happen in conjunction with the battle and miraculous victory described in Revelation 19:19-21.

There are many exciting prophecies coming to fulfillment in the near future. Thanks be to our wonderful Father in Heaven who gave us His perfect plan of salvation, so we may watch and wait for His return.

THE HOLY DAYS: DAY OF ATONEMENT

PART 7: CONCLUSION

All of the Biblical Holy Days are significant to Christians because they individually symbolize the steps in God’s Plan of Salvation (the very purpose of Christianity) for all humanity. Therefore, we encourage all Christians to observe these Holy Days. By doing so, you will have a deeper, richer relationship with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. By observing the Day of Atonement and remembering that Jesus has wiped away all our sin, removing all the ugliness we once had in our hearts, we will feel a new sense of rejuvenation and excitement...starting over with a lighter heart and rejoicing in the blessed hope of Jesus’ Second Coming where He will restore all things. Also, by observing this day of fasting, prayer and not working, we are showing that we hold nothing above our Savior, that He is the most important One in our lives. Jesus is the real food and the real drink...the Bread and Water of Life. Amen.

Thus says the Lord God: This Day has become

an offering of abstinence in purity to the Lord, a

giving of thanks of your sin atoned for by Christ,

not of atonement for sin of yourselves, but a free

will offering of thanks, in the name of the Lord

Jesus and Him crucified, having removed your

sin from you, rejoicing in the blessed hope of His

quick return to remove all that is sin, and all that

leads you into sin, from this world. Amen. And

that which was shut shall be opened, and that

which was open shall be shut, in that Day.

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 1: INTRODUCTION

God gave the Biblical festivals to teach the Jewish people about His character and to help us understand His plan of salvation. But we, as Christians who have now been “grafted in” to the olive tree (Romans 11), also share in this gift of knowledge of God’s plan of salvation. We must study and keep these Holy Days according to Jesus Christ who is their fulfillment.

According to the Biblical calendar, the Feast of Tabernacles begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month (Tishri) of the Jewish calendar. This feast is also known as The Festival of Tabernacles, the Feast of Ingathering or Festival of Ingathering, the Feast of Booths or Festival of Booths, Succoth or Sukkot.

as booths are temporary dwellings, so also is our physical life transitory. The name of the Feast of Tabernacles derives from God’s command to ancient Israel to build temporary “tabernacles”, sometimes called “booths”, to live in during the festival. The Bible emphasizes that, as with booths or temporary dwellings, our physical life is transitory. The apostle Paul’s writings reflect this theme:

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from Heaven. ~ Corinthians 5:-

The Spring and Fall Holy Days represent the First and Second Coming of Christ. The Feast of Tabernacles was also known as the Feast of Ingathering because it occurs at the time of the major harvest of crops. (The spring harvest of the crops was smaller than the autumn harvest, just as the “spring” harvest of salvation will be smaller than the “autumn” harvest). The “spring” harvest represents the Spring Holy Days or First Coming of Christ, and the “autumn” harvest represents the Fall Holy Days or Second Coming of Christ. In much the same way, this is also represented in the “early and latter rains”.

Come and let us return unto the Lord, for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us. In the thrid day, He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. ~ Hosea 6:-

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. ~ Joel :

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receiveth early and latter rain. ~ James 5:7*

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 1: INTRODUCTION cont.

God’s instruction for mankind involves the restoration process, which is symbolically concluded on the Feast of Tabernacles. The Holy Days, as a whole, symbolize the restoration process, which started with Passover when Christ died for us and restored us to life, and will be concluded with the Feast of Tabernacles, where the earth and its inhabitants are restored to their original glory as it was in the Garden, once again being at peace and harmony with God for one thousand years (the millennial kingdom), just as Jesus has promised us, saying, “I am the Restoration of all things.”

In his first inspired sermon after receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, the apostle Peter summed up God’s instruction for mankind:

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom Heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. ~ Acts :-

The Feast of Tabernacles represents the glorious restoration process, which will take place during the millennium, where Christ will reign and dwell with His people. We observe these Feast Days with great rejoicing, because of this wonderful promise God has made to His people: That one day the “the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. ~ Revelation :

PART 2: OLD TESTAMENT OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

The Feast of Tabernacles commemorated many things for the Israelites. The Feast of Tabernacles was celebrated for seven days, from the fifteenth through the twenty-first day of the seventh month, and an eighth day known as the Last Great Day. The Last Great Day is a separate feast day but still connected to the Feast of Tabernacles. The first and eighth days of the Feast were days of rest and sacred assemblies. Everyday work was not to be performed on these two feast days. A special offering was to be presented to God. This festival commemorates several important things. It is a feast that gives thanks to God for the fall harvest. It is a celebration of God’s care over the Israelites as they wandered in the wilderness for forty years, and it is a reminder that just as the booths were temporary dwelling places for the Israelites, our fleshly existence here on earth is of a temporary nature.

The Feast of Tabernacles reminded Israel of their release of slavery from Egypt.During the Feast of Tabernacles, the Israelites left their houses and built temporary dwelling places (Hebrew succah, meaning “hut of woven boughs”) to live in while rejoicing before God. These reminded them of their release from slavery and their dwelling booths when God brought them out of Egypt.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord. ~ Leviticus :

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 2: OLD TESTAMENT OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

The Feast of Tabernacles emphasizes rest, peace and joy.In contrast to the hardship of slavery, this festival emphasizes rest, peace and prosperity as it meets the needs of all people, including strangers, widows and the poor. The Feast of Tabernacles is also known as the Feast of Ingathering. This name signified the completion of Israel’s annual harvest.

And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the fields, and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field” ~ Exodus :6.

God gave the Israelites specific instructions regarding the Feast week. This included dwelling in booths made of tree boughs, not working on the first and eighth day, and several ceremonial rituals. The Scriptures actually speak of the Feast of Tabernacles as being seven days, but it also speaks of an eighth day (The Last Great Day) on which a holy convocation is to be held, with sacrifices made and no traditional work done on that day (Leviticus 34-36). We also know, by the verse below, that this Feast will be observed forever.

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days. on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. Ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths. That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God. ~ Leviticus : -

The Holy Days: Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast was a time of great rejoicing for the people of Israel, a time to celebrate the great abundance God had given.

And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you. ~ Deuteronomy :.

But thou must eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates. And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto. ~ Deuteronomy :

And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth. And thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou and thine household. ~ Deuteronomy :6.

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 3: OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

Jesus Christ observed and taught on the Feast of Tabernacles. Jesus celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles. On several occasions during the Feast, He taught in Solomon’s Porch and elsewhere in the temple courts. These teachings were the formal announcement of the divinity of Jesus to the Jewish people and to the whole world. Many people marveled at Jesus’ teachings, proclaiming He is “the prophet” and “the Messiah”.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for He would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill Him. now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto Him, “Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth anything in secret, and He Himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.” For neither did His brethren believe in Him. Then Jesus said unto them, “My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready. The world can not hate you, but Me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast. I go not up yet unto this feast, for My time is not yet full come.” When He had said these words unto them, He abode still in Galilee. But when His brethren were gone up, then went He also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. ~ John 7:-0

now about the midst of the Feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. ~ John 7:

In the last day, great of the Feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” ~ John 7:7

But bade them farewell, saying, “I must by all means keep this Feast that cometh in Jerusalem. But I will return again unto you, if God will.” And he sailed from Ephesus. ~ Acts :

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLS OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

The Gospels record that our Lord Jesus not only celebrated the festival, but He took traditional elements of the celebration and applied them to His own life and mission. We find this particularly in John 7 where Jesus uses two traditional symbols from the Feast of Tabernacles celebration, water and light, to help the people understand who He is and what He offers. He also uses the symbols of freedom and booths to give us a greater understanding of God’s plan of salvation for mankind through Jesus Christ.

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLS OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

Jesus is the Living Water. Our spiritual thirst can not be quenched with anything less than Christ. On the last day and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles (the day the rabbis poured the water - part of the oral tradition of the rabbis), Jesus stood and proclaimed Himself the very “fountain of living water”.

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” [Jesus speaking] ~ John :

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “ If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” ~ John 7:7-

Jesus is the Light of the world. The light (Lev. 24:2) from the Feast of Tabernacles lamps illuminated the whole city. At the end of the first day of the Feast, the temple was gloriously illuminated. According to the Mishnah (part of the oral tradition of the rabbis), four gigantic candelabras, that were 75 feet high, stood within the court. The temple itself stood upon a hill so the glorious light from the lamps could be seen by the whole city. The light was to remind the people of how God’s Shekhinah glory had once filled His temple, but in the person of Jesus, God’s glory was once again present in the temple; and Jesus used that celebration to announce that very fact. Jesus referred to this custom when He spoke these well-known words, “I am the Light of the world”.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All were made by Him. And without Him was not any made that was made. In Him was life. And the life was the light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light. That was the True Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. ~ John :-

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” ~ John :

“As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” [Jesus speaking] ~ John :5

Through our belief in Jesus Christ we are freed from sin.Just as the Israelites were reminded of their freedom from slavery in Egypt during this Feast, so then are we reminded of our freedom from sin, through our belief in Jesus Christ, for we are in the world yet we are no longer part of it.

Jesus answered them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever commiteth sin is a slave to sin.” ~ John :

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” [Jesus speaking] ~ John :6

“They (believers in Christ) are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” [Jesus speaking] ~ John 7:6

Jesus Christ is the tabernacle or dwelling place of God. The fullness of God dwelled in Jesus Christ.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. ~ John :

For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power. ~ Colossians :-0

only God, who formed you, can unform that which He has made if one will not be reformed in His image, which is I, Christ Jesus. I am the perfect reflection of the Father, and have breathed into you My breath, so you might live and become the reflection of Me, the only image that has within Him eternal life. PART 4: JESUS CHRIST IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLS OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

We are God’s and Jesus’ tabernacle, and They are ours.Though we dwell in these temporary earthly bodies waiting for Jesus’ return, we have a glimpse of the Kingdom to come, for we have accepted Christ for our salvation; and in doing so He has come to dwell in us, or tabernacle with us, as we also dwell in Him by faith and His Word, until that great and glorious day when we enter into His Kingdom and His Rest (Hebrews 4:3-9) where we shall tabernacle with Him, and Him with us, for one thousand years and even forever and ever! Amen.

no man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He is in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. ~ John :-

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them. [Jesus speaking] ~ Matthew :0 “...and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” ~ [Jesus speaking] ~ Matthew :0

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit. ~ Corinthians 6:5, 7

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. ~ Romans :-

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the Living God, as God hath said, I dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ~ Corinthians 6:6

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. ~ Ephesians :7-

[God speaking] Behold, your King comes to destroy, and regain His inheritance. Then shall all those, who love His coming, abide truly in His doctrine, for He shall be in them and amongst them...and I shall be their God, and they shall be My people. ~ [Vol. 6, Letters from God and His Christ - Abide in the Doctrine of Christ]

PART 4: JESUS CHRIST IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE CEREMONIAL SYMBOLS OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

We, in our current bodies, are living in a temporary home. These physical bodies we now occupy are only temporary dwelling places. Our hope is not in what the world has to offer, but in what God has already provided for us for eternity. Our permanent home is being prepared for us in eternity.

In My Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. ~ John :-

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. ~ Corinthians 5:5-5

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

The Feast of Tabernacles represents the Thousand Year reign of Christ on Earth. The Feast of Tabernacles speaks of a future time when men will again tabernacle with God, when He will dwell with them, and they with Him, during the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth (the millennium). In this day, all nations will gather to Jerusalem.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them. And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ~ Revelation 0:

At the present time, we are at the end of “Pentecost”. The Spring Holy Days are ending (fulfilled), and the Fall Holy Days will be fulfilled in the very near future. The next wonderful event in the timeline of God’s Holy Day Plan is the “Rapture”, which is represented and foreshadowed in the Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah.

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

The Feast of Tabernacles represents the “seventh day” of creation, and a period of rest, a Sabbath Day one thousand years long.During the thousand-year reign of Christ, or the millennium, the whole earth will rest. In Hebrews 4, the writer discusses the Sabbath as a day of rest. He uses Israel entering the Promised Land as a type of our entering into rest when Christ returns. If the week typifies the length of God’s plan, we are now living on “Friday”, the sixth day, as almost 6,000 years (a thousand years as a day) have elapsed since Adam’s creation. We will then enter the seventh day, the millennium, a day of rest, when Christ reigns on earth.

For we that believeth do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest, although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest on the seventh day from all His works. And in this place again, if they shall enter into My rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief, again He limiteth a certain day, saying in David, Today, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. For if Joshua had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” ~ Hebrews :-

[Timothy inspired by the Spirit] one day has passed, the second is ending, and just before the third, the Lord’s elect shall rise and live. In the third day they shall be established and live in His sight. Also five days have passed, the sixth is ending, and the seventh is coming quickly. ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - The Word of God is Truth...Leading to Life]

During the millennium, we will live in a world of peace and abundance, being governed by God’s Law.After Christ’s return, He will bring the creation, in its entirety, into harmony with God. Everyone will know God’s Law and live by it. A spiritual change will take place among God’s people. God’s Law will be the basis for the messianic rule of Christ.

And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people. And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. ~ Isaiah : (Also Micah :)

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths, for out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. ~ Isaiah :-

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

The millennium is a period of restoration.During this wonderful period of peace and abundance, Jesus will also be restoring all things. As He has said, “I am the Restoration of all things.”

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be you glad and rejoice forever in that which I create. For behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. ~ Isaiah 65:7-

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. ~ Isaiah 66:

[Jesus speaking] I stand in front of you with arms wide open, smiling. That which was lost has been returned to Me, for the season when all leaves fall from the tree and rot upon the ground has ended; also have the cold harsh winds of winter ceased. All things dead and dormant are revealed. Spring forth My children, for you were once wild and withered...I have gathered you, every kind from every land, and replanted you in My garden. You are no longer wild, nor will you wither or be scattered upon the winds. You shall blossom forevermore, for I am your Light and the Water of Life. Come with Me and witness the restoration! You know the way to this place, for it is where all the wildflowers of the valley have gathered together, for they are the peoples from every country, tribe and nation, for every flower that yet remains in the world is wild, and must be uprooted and replanted in the good ground. Those who take the highway of holiness, which leads to, and is holy, will find themselves in the kingdom of Heaven, for the kingdom of restoration is My kingdom, the second kingdom, the kingdom to come. Behold the first kingdom, an everlasting kingdom, the Father’s kingdom. There have I prepared a place for you and give you the new clothes of white to wear...nothing hidden, all is clean...perfect in the eyes of the Lord. You have returned home, a visitation lasting one week, while I go and prepare a new place for you on earth, as it is in Heaven, for in My new Jerusalem it will be as if fashioned of pure gold, and My people refashioned as the angels in Heaven. ~ [ Vol., Letters from God and His Christ - on Earth As It Is In Heaven]

[And the angels shout] Glory and everlasting praise, to The Lord and to His Son, who is the beginning of all things, and the end of all that is wicked! Glory be on high!... All things have become new! ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - The Antichrist and the Judgment of This Wicked Generation]

You have been reborn and made new with no death or corruption in you. “Forever Young” is your new name. Even a person of ten millennia in age shall be as a child in My kingdom. What you see in the mirror is that very self that you are, and will be, for in My kingdom many rewards are given to My people...one is a new body clothed in glory. Come and fulfill your heart’s desire in the Lord.It is not vanity, but love. For My Father’s glory, all is made new. Amen. - [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - All is Made new in Christ the Lord]

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

The millennium is a period of restoration. cont.

[Jesus speaking] My precious creation has been corrupted...Shall I not cleanse them and make them whole? I have died so they may live. never forget what the Father has done by way of His only Begotten. Rejoice...for out of destruction comes restoration eternal. Amen. ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - Come and Follow Me]

[God speaking] The Mountain fills the entire earth, crushing all things. nothing before is seen...all is beneath the Mountain and its infinite weight. All is made new and live in the Mountain. Amen. Glory be to God in the Highest. His will be done, and is done, in all the world. The birth is complete...the dawn of a new age without end. [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - Be Blessed...Be Lifted Up...Be Glorified]

[God speaking] All will be whole in the second Kingdom...all may have and give life that is received from God. Behold the third Kingdom, for it comes down from above. none shall bring forth life...the cycle is complete...corruptable is incorruptable...all earthly has become spirit. ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - Flesh as Flesh in the Beginning...Spirit Fulfilled in the Image of God]

[God speaking] Also, all things, that have been corrupted unto death, are refashioned and once again made alive by He who has fashioned the universe. He is the Carpenter made King. He is the one who gave up everything for His beloved. There is nothing He would not do for His friends. So then, when you enter into His joy, which is in His Kingdom, you shall have all things that are fulfilled in His joy for your joy. Ask, and you shall receive. Call unto Him, and He shall speak to you. Question Him, and be filled with knowledge...all things revealed.[Jesus speaking] My joy is the fountain that overflows from Me into you, restoring all things lost, starting with your spirit...even unto your beloved pets.Behold the restoration is coming, coming quickly! All things shall be as in the beginning...a garden where none is destroying, and none is given to destruction...no more tears, pain or death, says the Father. Amen. ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - All Things Will Be Fulfilled, and Restored, in the Kingdom]

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

Jesus Christ will heal us during the millennium.Jesus Christ will heal not only our physical infirmities during the millennium, but He will also heal our spirits during this time. Isaiah prophesied that Jesus Christ will complete the healing He began during His ministry on earth.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. ~ Isaiah 5:5-6

Note: The verse above has two fulfillments, both being fulfilled in Jesus, the Messiah. At His First Coming, a foreshadowing or taste of the Kingdom to come...the Cornerstone is laid, the foundation prepared by His words and sacrifice. At His Second Coming, the Kingdom will be fully established, built atop that which had already been prepared, with He Himself clearing away all the remaining debris, making all paths straight and rough places completely smooth. For all mighty works done by Christ at His First Coming were done in a humble fashion as the Shepherd gathering and calling to His flock, saving them from judgment by His death. So then Jesus shall do the same at His Second Coming, but in full power and glory, with the complete authority to separate His flock from the wicked...by the wickeds’ deaths will the final cleansing of the earth be accomplished. Then shall the Kingdom come on earth as in Heaven. For what the Messiah has done will He do again, save that which was done once for all time. He is the same yesterday, today and all tomorrows to come...forever and unchanging.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. ~ Isaiah 6:- (Also see Luke :-)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and their shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away. ~ Revelation :

And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people. And the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days... ~ Isaiah 65:-0

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

The land will be restored during Christ’s thousand-year reign on earth. The same bountiful harvest theme continues in the future fulfillment of this festival. Through Isaiah, God spoke of the desert becoming productive land, and in the Book of Amos we are told that the earth will produce bountiful harvests.

...for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the habitations of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. ~ Isaiah 5:6-7

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. ~ Amos :

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat. For as the days of a tree are the days of My people, and Mine elect shall long enjoy the works of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. ~ Isaiah 65:-

God’s people will be free from the temptation of sin because satan will be bound during the millennium.During the millennium, satan will be bound. He will no longer be able to tempt God’s people or cause such great suffering as he does now.

And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little season. ~ Revelation 0:-

[Jesus speaking] The Day has come...transgression is overcome and nearly finished where wickedness and evil, death and dying, are banished and thrown into the fire. Love reigns, and My Kingdom is come...and it shall endure forever, and even forever, and forever shall it be. Amen and amen. ~ [Vol. 5, Letters from God and His Christ - The Lord Calls His Sheep...They Know His Voice. Enter In At His Gate And Become All of one Fold, Forever Grazing In The Pastures of God’s Graces]

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 5: THE PROPHETICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES cont.

God’s people will be free from the temptation of sin because satan will be bound during the millennium. cont.

[God speaking] Then shall the final Sabbath day come, for it is the seventh day of creation, the one thousand year Day of the Son and His Kingdom, in which the entire world shall rest from their evil-doings, and live in the sanctuary of God. Indeed, many things shall be put to rest in the seventh day, even that of death and evil. ~ [Vol. , pg. Letters from God and His Christ - Remember the Sabbath and Your God, and He Shall Remember You]

[God speaking]Then He will cast them into the lake of burning fire; and they will suffer day and night, until the end. Then to the dragon will he do likewise, except this: He will first bind him, until the plan of the ages, the design of The Most High, comes to its conclusion... ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - The Antichrist and the Judgment of This Wicked Generation]

During this thousand-year period, peace will extend even to the wild animals. During the millennium, God will make peace even between the wild animals. The prophet, Isaiah, describes this time:

And the cow and the bear shall feed, their young ones shall lie down together. And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’s den. ~ Isaiah 11:7-9

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock. And dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, saith the Lord. ~ Isaiah 65:25.

The Feast of Tabernacles will still be celebrated during the millennium.Even in the days to come, Bible prophecy tells us that people from the nations of the world will come up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.

And it shall come to pass, that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ~ Zechariah : 6

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. ~ 1 Corinthians 2:9

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

PART 6: MODERN-DAY OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

There are various ceremonies or observances of this day we, as Christians, should keep. Among them, reserving the first and eighth day as holy Sabbaths, to rest and to hold holy convocations. These eight days are to be days filled with rejoicing, prayer and studying God’s word.Although some people choose to actually “tabernacle” away from their home during this feast, this is not essential, because of Christ’s fulfillment of this feast. Because Christ fulfills the symbolic “tabernacling” of the Feast, it is not necessary for us to “tabernacle” elsewhere. The specific ceremonies, once observed in the Old Testament, are no longer necessary to observe with the exceptions of the Sabbath rests, because Jesus Christ fulfilled the symbolic meaning of these ceremonies. Therefore, we encourage your focus to be on Christ and His future Kingdom to come, to truly recognize the meaning of this wonderful Feast. We also encourage you to observe these Holy Days on the day God ordained in the beginning. These days have specific relevance in God’s timeline, therefore it is important to keep the exact day if possible. To figure out the day you will need to use a Jewish calendar (easily found on the internet.)Most importantly, we should be ever mindful of Christ’s fulfillment of this Holy Day, as He is for all Holy Days. By praising Christ during the Feast, we can give Him His rightful position not only in our lives, but also acknowledge His importance in the salvation of mankind shown to us through God’s Holy Days.

PART 7: CONCLUSION

Once again, through God’s wonderful Holy Day plan, we are given a glimpse of His plan for the salvation of mankind. The Feast of Tabernacles represents the thousand-year reign of Christ, on earth, when we will “tabernacle” with God and He will “tabernacle” with us. During this wonderful period of restoration, Christ will govern us with God’s Law, and we will live in an incredible time of peace and harmony, both with God and with each other. There will be no more pain, or sorrow, or sin...”for the old order of things has passed away”.By observing these Holy Days, we are acknowledging that we not only recognize, but appreciate, the great sacrifice of our Messiah, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all Holy Days...even all prophecy...even all things.

“This is My Son in whom I am well pleased...listen to Him, for as the stars in the heavens are beyond the numbering of men, so then is He called Jesus, who being the only Begotten of the Father, is the fulfillment of the Word of God and the prophets throughout all generations, whose fulfillment of which is also beyond the reason and comprehension of men’s calculations fulfilled in a single man. These things fulfilled in the Son of Man, being mentioned of a few, let it be a sign and awakening. To them of greater understanding, awakened to the knowledge of these things fulfilled in the Son of Man, prophesied, coming to light as a multitude...let it be a wonder. To My children, fully awake and receiving full knowledge of the Truth that indeed the Christ called Jesus fulfills all, in every sense, in all manner, every word written, every word spoken, every action within and without, being altogether the All in All of all things...let it be Truth undeniable, causing all both small and great, rich and poor, bond and free, to bow before Him, calling Him Lord!” ~ [Vol. , Letters from God and His Christ - Jesus Christ Is King!]

THE HOLY DAYS: FEAST OF TABERNACLES

... I will lead you from the valley of the shadow of death into the light of salvation. Take My hand, take My hand, all peoples... Grasp it, and come with Me as you are...

Come, all those who know not My ways... I will show you.

Come, all those who have been abandoned... I will comfort you and give you shelter.

Come, all those who are crippled... Let us run and leap for joy together.

Come, all those faithless...I shall fill your cup, and watch how it overflows.

Come, all murderers...Watch Me raise you, and all who sleep, from the grave.

Come, all you who blaspheme... I will give you a new voice. Bring with you all those who are blind and deaf,

For they too shall see and hear.

Indeed, come all those who have sinned against Me, take My hand. I will lead you to the waters where I shall wash you, And where your new clothes hang upon the tree

Which grows next to the stream.

Come one, come all... Ask and it shall be given you.

All things are possible with God And made manifest through The Son. ~ Jesus
