“The second generation of Christian television has been fully realized—and we are going for it.”

Shortly after my mom passed last year, I turned on TBN and heard Pastor Robert Morris say something that

resonated with me powerfully: “When a loved one passes, Christians are the only people who can grieve and rejoice at the same time.”

Those words meant so much to me! While I was sad-dened to have Mom leave this earth, I knew she was going to meet Jesus face to face and be reunited with Dad.

But it was even more than that. I realized that with Mom’s passing, the second generation of Christian television had begun … and it was poised to expand aggressively.

My parents did something remarkable: As God opened doors and partners stepped forward, Mom and Dad fol-lowed the leading of the Lord and birthed an entire gener-ation of Christian TV. They fulfilled the will of God, and now our generation will reap countless blessings because of the righteousness of the previous generation. We are going to win more souls for Christ than ever before!

To Boldly GoThe generation before us has prepared us for such a time as this. Now it’s our responsibility to follow God’s voice, step through His open doors, and move Christian television for-ward. We have the same goal as those who came before us, but we have different avenues, opportunities, and ways

to reach people.And doors are swinging wide open

all over the world. As we near the con-clusion of this first quarter of 2017, we are translating Christian TV into 14 dif-ferent languages around the globe. And more opportunities keep popping up—in Hungary, in France, and elsewhere.

We’ve proved we can do it. Because of you, we have five television networks on the air in the Middle East. Those five networks take the Word of God to Mus-lims in their native tongues of Arabic, Turkish, Farsi, and Urdu. That’s impor-tant, because that area of the world needs what everyone needs—Jesus!

Laurie and I have made a pact that we will never say no to any door God has opened. If the door is closed, we

won’t force it. But we’re going to move on every opportunity God gives us to advance the Kingdom.

The Social Media Revolution and the GospelWe’ll never forget our roots. TBN began as a single, small television station with a snowy signal in Southern California, and it has turned into a group of 30+ networks, reaching a potential 1 billion households. Yet in today’s landscape, media is being consumed on many dif-ferent platforms—cellphone apps, tab-lets, social media sites.

We’re excited about this revolution. It is our calling as the second genera-tion of Christian content programmers to use every available means possible. So we embrace any new media channel God opens to us to share the Gospel.

That’s why I was so excited when we reached 1 million followers on Face-book. Clearly, we are leveraging this dynamic open door God put before us, and you are a part of it. You have the

power to impact your friends, family, and others by simply clicking the “Like” and “Share” buttons on any TBN social post you think will bless those you know.

Just think, every time you see an encouraging message from TBN on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or another social channel, you have an opportunity to share that ministry con-tent, reaching countless others with the hope of Christ. There’s no other time in history when everyone has been able to reach so many people so easily!

In Tune with GodOf course, none of TBN’s ministry would be possible without faithful partners like you. Let’s tune in to God’s voice, walk through the open doors He sets before us, and be good stewards of this second generation of Christian television together.

This world is desperate for an answer, desperate for a change. Let’s give them what they long for—the opportunity to know Jesus. And let’s not stop until every single person has heard about Him!
