Eleni bydd Llywodraeth y DU yn cyflwyno Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth. Mae'n gynllun

newydd ledled y DU i helpu rhieni sy'n gweithio i dalu am ofal plant.

Fel mudiad cenedlaethol, mae darparwyr gofal plant yn debygol o ddod atoch am help a

chyngor ynghylch y cynnig newydd hwn. Drwy annog darparwyr i ymuno, gallwch helpu i

godi ymwybyddiaeth a sicrhau bod cymaint o rieni â phosibl yn elwa o'r cynllun.

Beth yw Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth?

Bydd rhieni yn gallu agor cyfrif gofal plant ar-lein. Hwn y bydd y rhieni'n ei ddefnyddio i dalu'u

gofal plant yn uniongyrchol.

Am bob £8 y bydd rhieni'n ei dalu i mewn, bydd Llywodraeth y DU yn ychwanegu £2. Gall

rhieni gael hyd at £2,000 y plentyn bob blwyddyn, tuag at eu costau gofal plant, neu £4000

ar gyfer plant anabl. Mae hyn ar wahân i hawliau sydd wedi'u hariannu. Bydd y cynnig ar

gael ar gyfer plant hyd at 12 mlwydd oed, neu 17 mlwydd oed os yw'r plant yn anabl.

I fod yn gymwys, rhaid bo rhieni'n gweithio ac yn disgwyl ennill o leiaf £115 yr wythnos, a

dim mwy na £100,000 y flwyddyn, yr un.

● chwarae mynediad agored

● gofal wedi ei ddarparu gan yr ysgol (hynny yw wedi ei dalu amdano, megis cybiau ar

ôl ysgol)

● darparwyr gofal plant gartref sydd wedi'u cymeradwyo (nanis)

Ni all rhieni wneud cais am Ofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth yr un pryd ag y maent yn gwneud

cais am gredydau treth, Credyd Cynhwysol neu dalebau gofal plant. Gall darparwyr gofal

plant gael taliadau gan Ofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth a gan dalebau gofal plant.

Sut y mae Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth yn gweithio ar gyfer darparwyr?

Gall darparwyr gofal plant ymuno â'r cynllun Gofal Plant Di-dreth yn awr.

Anfonwyd llythyrau at ddarparwyr gofal plant cofrestredig drwy gydol mis Medi a mis Hydref,

yn eu gwahodd i ymuno a pharatoi ar gyfer lansiad Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth. Mae'n

rhaid iddynt wneud hyn er mwyn cael taliadau oddi wrth rieni drwy'r cynllun.

Er mwyn ymuno, dylai darparwyr gofal plant fynd i www.childcare.tax.service.gov.uk. Bydd

angen y canlynol arnynt:

● Y cod unigryw sydd yn y llythyr o wahoddiad a gafwyd.

● Manylion y cyfrif banc y maent am i'r taliad cael ei wneud iddo.

● Eu Cyfeirnod Unigryw y Trethdalwr (UTR) – neu'u rhif Yswiriant Gwladol, os nad oes

UTR ganddynt.

Er mwyn ymuno, mae'n rhaid i ddarparwyr gofal plant fod wedi'u cofrestru gyda chorff

rheolaethol, neu wedi'u cymeradwyo gan un. Gall cofrestru gyda rheolydd gymryd hyd at 12

wythnos, felly os nad yw darparwyr gofal plant eisoes wedi cofrestru, dylent gymryd camau

ar unwaith i wneud hynny.

Cyn bo hir, gan ddefnyddio twlsyn ar-lein, bydd rhieni'n gallu chwilio am ddarparwyr gofal

Rydym yn gofyn am eich help i sicrhau bod gweithwyr proffesiynol gofal plant yn eich ardal

yn barod ar gyfer Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth. Rhwng nawr a'r lansiad, byddwn yn

ysgrifennu at ddarparwyr ac yn rhannu'ch negeseuon drwy sianeli eraill megis cyfryngau

cymdeithasol. Byddem hefyd yn gwerthfawrogi'ch help i gael eich darparwyr gofal plant lleol

yn barod. Rydym wedi cynnwys rhywfaint o wybodaeth isod i chi i'w rhannu drwy'ch sianeli

megis eich gwefan a fforymau/cyfarfodydd i ddarparwyr.

Beth fydd yn digwydd nesaf?

Caiff Gofal Plant sy'n Rhydd o Dreth ei gyflwyno'n raddol i rieni o ddechrau 2017 ymlaen.

Unwaith caiff y cynllun ei gyflwyno, bydd rhieni'n gallu ymuno ar-lein.

Tax-Free Childcare: Top things childcare and play organisations need to know

This year the UK government will introduce Tax-Free Childcare, a new UK-wide scheme to

help working parents pay for childcare.

As a national organisation, childcare providers are likely to come to you for help and advice

on this new offer. By encouraging providers to sign up, you can help raise awareness and

ensure as many parents as possible benefit from the scheme.

What is Tax-Free Childcare?

Parents will be able to open an online childcare account, which they will use to pay for their

childcare directly.

For every £8 a parent pays in, the UK government will pay in an extra £2. Parents can

receive up to £2,000 per child, per year, towards their childcare costs, or £4,000 for disabled

children – separate from funded entitlements. The offer will be available for children up to the

age of 12, or 17 for children who are disabled.

To qualify, both parents will have to be in work, and each expecting to earn at least £115 a

week – and not more than £100,000 each year.

Tax-Free Childcare can be used to pay for registered:

● childminders

● full day or sessional care (nurseries)

● crèches

● out of school childcare clubs

● open access play

or

● care provided by a school (that is paid for, such as after-school clubs)

● approved home childcarers (nannies)

Parents can’t claim Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as claiming tax credits, Universal

Credit or childcare vouchers. Childcare providers can receive payments from both Tax-Free

Childcare and childcare vouchers.

How does Tax-Free Childcare work for providers?

Childcare providers can sign up now for Tax-Free Childcare.

Letters were sent to registered childcare providers throughout September and October,

inviting them to sign up and get ready for the launch of Tax-Free Childcare. They must do

this in order to receive payments from parents through the scheme.

To sign up, childcare providers should visit www.childcare.tax.service.gov.uk and will need:

● The unique code included in their invitation letter.

● The bank account details for the account they wish to receive payments into.

● Their Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number – or their National Insurance

number, if they don’t have a UTR.

To sign up, childcare providers must first be registered or approved, with a regulating body.

Registering with a regulator can take up to 12 weeks, so if childcare providers aren’t

registered yet, they should act now.

Parents will soon be able to search for childcare providers who have signed up using an

online tool. Payments will be made directly from a parent’s online account and will

automatically include the UK government’s contribution, arriving in one simple transaction for

providers.

How can you make sure parents and childcare providers in your area benefit from the

scheme?

We are asking for your help to ensure childcare professionals in your area are ready for Tax-

Free Childcare. Between now and the launch we will be writing to providers and sharing our

messages through other channels such as social media. We would also appreciate your help

in preparing your local childcare providers. We have included some content below for you to

share through your channels such as your website and provider forums/meetings.

What happens next?

Tax-Free Childcare will be gradually rolled-out to parents from early this year. Once the

scheme is introduced, parents will be able to sign up online.

Childcare Choices – supporting families with childcare costs We would like your help in promoting Childcare Choices. Childcare Choices brings together all the government childcare offers for the first time, helping parents to find the right childcare support to suit them.

We have created this toolkit to help you support parents, and to help you prepare for the new offer – Tax-Free Childcare.

If you are a childcare provider and haven’t yet signed up for Tax-Free Childcare, now is the time to do so.

What is Childcare Choices?Childcare Choices is a one-stop shop for parents, who told us they would like to have everything they need to know about the Government’s childcare support in one place.

The new Childcare Choices website makes it easy to find out what’s on offer with minimum fuss. Using the Childcare Calculator parents can see what different offers are available to them and choose what works best for their family. Parents can also use the website’s ‘keep me updated’ tool to register to get updates when they become eligible to apply.

Tax-Free ChildcareTax-Free Childcare will be available to millions of working families across the UK, and over time it will replace childcare vouchers, which will close to new entrants from April 2018.

Eligible parents with children under 12 (under 17 for disabled children) will be able to set up an online childcare account to pay their childcare providers directly. For every £8 parents pay in, the Government will add £2, up to a maximum contribution of £2,000 per child, per year (£4,000 per year for disabled children). To qualify, parents must be in work, including self-employment, and each must be earning at least £120 a week and not more than £100,000 per year.

Using the Childcare Checker, parents will be able to find out which providers have signed up in their area. The scheme will become available gradually to different age groups, with all eligible parents being able to access the scheme by the end of 2017. Parents who have registered with the ‘keep me updated’ tool will be notified when they can apply.

Childcare providers have a pivotal role in Tax-Free Childcare. They need to sign up so that parents can use Tax-Free Childcare to pay them; thousands have already done so. Click here to find out more about signing up.

What is available through the new childcare service?Tax-Free ChildcareTax Free Childcare is an online payment account, topped up by the Government, which parents use solely to pay their childcare costs.
