and growing a big organization.
There are only three steps to see if people are interested in Network Marketing.
The first two steps are done in 70 seconds with the „Make Life Count – 70 Seconds to
Success‟ conversation. First you begin the 70 second conversation and if there is interest
you do the Second step which is give them this presentation, all done in 70 seconds!
The Third step is only done if they have listened, read or watched the presentation and
they are interested in finding out more. You introduce them to your sponsor for a 10-20
minute presentation about the company/product/compensation plan. You listen and learn.

PREFACE
The „Make Life Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation is all you need to know to start
building a large organization. One of the best methods of using this conversation is to put it
on the back of your business card. It really is that easy. You can memorize it, read it or
have your contact read it for themselves.
Beyond this conversation you do not need to know anything to get started. Once you realize
this and understand you can introduce your business to anyone, because absolutely anyone
can build a business if they want to. All they really need is a little desire. Without desire,
you have nothing.
So let me tell you, there is a secret you must know. The secret to the system we teach is
not to talk more than the „Make Life Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation. The
reason why is because the more you talk, the more the prospect thinks that they cannot do
what you are doing.
The more you talk, the more they think they don't have time.
Time is the number one excuse people have for not getting started.
This 70 second conversation is within a comfort zone that takes little time, meets people‟s
needs if they have one (filters out easily for you) and does automatic training by giving
them this presentation.
In this very short conversation you are finding out if the person is interested in learning
more. If yes, you are giving/sending them this Presentation so they can see and experience
the power of Network Marketing on their own time without pressure. There are a total of 7
Success Principles that will be important in this business; this presentation has the first 4.
The first 4 Success Principles are the road to success for your business. After going through
the first 4 Success Principles your prospect will understand network marketing. By applying
the first 4 principles you will begin building a strong, sustainable business.
After reviewing these principles your prospect will be ready for your sponsor to present your
company, product(s) and income plan.
The number one reason people don‟t do the business is because they believe they do not
have the time and they believe they have to become sales people.
So what comes after the „Make Life Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation?
When introducing the business you are going to be taught to give this presentation as a gift.
The best part is you no longer have to draw or memorize the material in this presentation
because it is done for you and the person can review it in the comforts of their own
surroundings!
If your lips are moving, you need to be giving the 70 second conversation, handing or
sending the presentation, introducing your sponsor or pointing to a pamphlet, website or
video. One of the exceptions is telling a story, more about that later.
Your own words are not a tool. Your own words are the worst tool possible. The worst! You
are an ambassador, you are passionate and enthusiastic.

YOU DO NOT GET TO BE THE ONE GIVING THE FACTS!
If you had to give the facts, then that is hard and this is not a hard business. We want this
to be fun, easy, and free up your time and eventually grow a successful business.
Wow! Isn‟t that great, you are going to be a great presenter. The information you are
sharing is already for you to access. You must agree here if you want to duplicate and grow
a large organization. If the facts and knowledge are provided and you are just enthusiastic
about getting it in people‟s hands, you are off to an amazing start. How easy do you think
this is to teach someone else? (Hint, hint, this presentation is the first piece of excellent
training material)
All the information that is already provided to you is called „Third Party Resource‟, meaning
the hard work has already been done. Talk about fantastic, not having to create, memorize
or worry about saying the wrong thing! Your job is to share these resources in a specific
order and then teach and help someone to do the same that is interested.
***Our profession is one of duplication. What creates duplication inside of our business?
This is one of the fundamentals that you have to know and you have to wrap your arms
around. It‟s a concept called "third party resources." Third party resources are the only
thing that's going to create duplication in your business. It is a simple process of using the
Third Party Resources to DO and Teach, Do and Teach.
You are about to learn that you are the biggest barrier to your success in this business.
What do I mean by that? Here's what I will tell you; that the reality is if we can get out of
the way and we can introduce and connect people to network marketing, our product or
opportunity using Third Party Resources, then we have an excellent chance of creating a
successful business.
This sounds so easy, but you will actually find yourself biting your tongue to keep yourself
from talking, I‟m serious! Think about this, all our lives we have been taught to Learn the
answers and then remember and when asked „Show your expertise‟. A simple example - If
somebody asks you for directions, you give them directions. "Oh, you go down the street for
½ mile and turn left at the stop sign. You went too far if you pass the Wal-Mart". Instead
you will have to learn to pull out your map, Navigator or other tool and simply say, ”let‟s
look at what the Navigation systems says.” “Let‟s look at the video, let‟s look at the
pamphlet, let‟s check out principle #1”. You see what I mean?
***It will take 4-6 interactions with someone for them to give you a firm „Yes‟, „No‟ or „Not
Now‟ to the business. In order for someone to give you a „Yes‟, they must be ready. You
cannot MAKE someone be ready; you cannot CONVINCE someone to get ready. What you
can do is check back with them every 2-3 months to chat with them using the „Make Life
Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation to see if their circumstances have changed and
if they are ready. This is a sorting business, not a convincing business. We are not here to
twist anyone‟s arms. No pressure, no drama, no arm twisting. When you find someone who
is ready, they‟re the ones saying, “Oh hey. We‟ve got to talk more about this.”
***If they are not ready, you simply say, “Cool, no problem.

Before We Learn the Principles, We Must Understand
Exactly what is Network Marketing?
NETWORK MARKETING is one of the fastest growing, yet most misunderstood, methods of
distributing products in use today.
More than 200 BILLION DOLLARS worth of products and services will be distributed annually
through Network Marketing companies.
This presentation will help you understand what multi-level marketing IS and what it IS
NOT. This presentation is a TRAINING MANUAL and should be used as your second Third
Party Resource (It will be readily available for you and your team to download, access via
the internet and print to help with your success.)
Synonyms for Network Marketing: MLM, NM, Multi-Level Marketing, home-based NM, Multi-
Generation Marketing, Uni-Level Marketing, Co-op Mass Marketing
Marketing is simply means moving a product or service from the manufacturer or provider
to the consumer.
Multi-Level refers to the system of compensation provided to those persons whose are
causing the product to move or the service to be provided. "Multi" means "more than one."
"Level" refers to what may better be termed as, "generation." It could be called "Multi-
Generation Marketing."
There are really only three basic methods of distributing products.
1) RETAILING- The grocery stores, the drug stores, the department stores are all examples
of retail. Going into a store or website and buying something is retail.
2) DIRECT SALES- include insurance, cookware, Avon lady, Mary Kay, Dove chocolate are
some examples of Direct Sales efforts.
3) NETWORK MARKETING or MLM – a lot of people using a little bit of product retail or
wholesale distributed by word-of-mouth.
Pyramids are not a method of distribution - PYRAMIDS are ILLEGAL! One of the main
reasons they are illegal is their failure to move a product or to provide a valid service. If a
product doesn't move, how can you even call it "marketing," let alone "Multi-Level
Marketing?"
When you sign up for Network Marketing you are in business for yourself; you are buying
the products wholesale from the company you are representing.
This means that you can (and should) use these items for your own consumption. Many
people get involved in a company, at first for this reason alone, to buy wholesale. And many
of those will get "serious." Since you are buying your products at WHOLESALE, you can, if
you wish to, sell those products at RETAIL and make a PROFIT. The most common
misunderstanding about MLM is the notion that you HAVE TO sell retail to be successful.
There is a lot to be said for selling retail and it should not be ignored. Some programs even
require a retail quota be met in order to qualify for a bonus. You may sell if you want to or
have to due to you particular program's requirements, but in regard to making the larger
sums of income-the real success is in building the organization. The retail side of the

business will come easily as you use the product(s), believe us, people will notice when you
have it sitting out and ask about it.
Important Gem: Let your sales come as a natural result of building the organization. More
people fail than succeed by trying to do it the other way around-they try to build the
organization by emphasizing selling.
As you read through the 4 Success Principles that follow, you will see how this happens
naturally.
The word "selling" triggers negative thoughts in the minds of about 95% of the people. In
Network Marketing you don't need to "sell" the products in the traditional sense of the word.
However, PRODUCT DOES HAVE TO MOVE or nobody, but nobody, gets paid.
Network Marketing: When you build an organization, you are actually building a network
through which you can distribute your products. Retailing is the foundation of Network
Marketing.
Sales in Network Marketing come from distributors SHARING with their friends, neighbors,
and relatives. They never have to talk to strangers.
To build a LARGE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS you need a BALANCE. You need to sponsor and
teach Network Marketing and in the process of doing this you can build a customer base by
retailing to your friends, neighbors, and relatives. This presentation will help with both the
sponsoring and teaching.
Don't try to sell the world on your program yourself. Network Marketing is building an
organization in which a lot of distributors retail a little. This is far better than a few trying to
do it all.
Why do most products from Network Marketing companies seem better? With virtually all
the Network Marketing companies, the need to spend large sums of money on advertising is
non-existent.
Advertising is done almost exclusively by word-of-mouth. For this reason, they have more
money to put into product development. As a result they usually have a higher quality
product than their counterpart found in retail stores.
You can SHARE with a friend a quality product of a type that they are already using. You are
simply replacing their old brand with something that you have discovered through your own
experience to be better.
So you see it's not going door-to-door-every day calling on strangers. All network marketing
programs that I know of teach that if you simply SHARE the quality of their products or
services with friends, that‟s all the "selling" that is involved.
(DO NOT Sell, repeat this: „I will only share‟)
What‟s the difference between Sponsoring and Recruiting? You SPONSOR someone, and
then TEACH them how to do what you are doing so that they begin building a BUSINESS OF
THEIR OWN.
We emphasize that there is a big difference between sponsoring someone and just "signing
them up." When you SPONSOR someone, you are making a COMMITMENT to them. If you

are not willing to make that commitment, then you are doing them a disservice by signing
them up.
At this point, all you need is to be WILLING to help them to build a business of their own.
This presentation will be an invaluable tool in showing you what and how to do just that.
It is the RESPONSIBILITY of a sponsor and up line to teach the people they bring into a
business, all they know about that business.
SPONSORING is what makes a Network Marketing business grow. As your organization
grows, you are building toward becoming an INDEPENDENT, SUCCESSFUL businessperson.
You are your OWN BOSS!
In Network Marketing programs you can make a lot of money. Making a lot of money comes
from building an organization, not by just selling the product. To be sure, you can make a
good living by just selling the product-but you can make a FORTUNE by building an
organization as your primary function.
People will get started in a Network Marketing business with the idea of making $50, $100,
or even $200 per month, and suddenly they will realize that if they want to get serious
about the business they could be making $1000 or $2000 per month-or more. A person
doesn't make that kind of money by just selling the products ... they make that kind of
money by building an organization.
THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION: to teach you the things you need to know
to be able to build an organization and to build it FAST-by developing certain and proper
attitudes about Network Marketing. If a person thinks Network Marketing is illegal, having a
connotation of being like a pyramid (and they do make that comparison), you are going to
have trouble sponsoring them.
You must teach them the facts to eliminate their attitude of
mistaking a true Network Marketing organization for a
pyramid. One example you could show them is the illustration I
am about to explain. The pyramid is built from the top down
and only those in at the very beginning can ever be near the
top. In the "MLM" triangle, everybody starts at the bottom and
has the opportunity to build as large an organization.
Network MARKETING is one of the viable ways for an inventor
or manufacturer to put a new product on the market without
having a million dollars, and without having to totally give up
their product to someone else.

Success Principle #1
Learn this Multiplication Table– It’s Easy
The following diagrams are a MUST to show a person before they see the company you
want to share with them. This is the visual to get their thinking going in the right direction.
It is helpful because it will show them that they do not have to run out and „sponsor‟
everyone in sight! And that it is not about selling, it‟s about using and sharing. Wow! Talk
about getting past the 800 pound gorilla!
This First Success Principle will help in illustrating why it is important for you to work with
everyone they sponsor and help them get started. Let‟s all take a look at the „Multiplication‟
tables that will inspire you and begin to open new possibilities.
What If……You sponsored 2 ……?
You sponsor 2 people and in turn you and your sponsor helped them sponsor 2
people, now you would help those 4 sponsor 2 people and then of course those
8 people sponsor 2 people. Of course as you are teaching and helping in the
process, everyone is working with you or their sponsor to teach or be the
student. At this point you will 30 people in your distribution channel.
What If……. You sponsor 3……?
You sponsor 3 and then you teach your three people how to teach those nine to
sponsor and now you have 27 and then they each teach 3 you will have 81. Add
them up = 120 total. Notice the difference between 30 and 120!
Would everyone agree that this is a pretty good difference? Then point out to
them the REAL DIFFERENCE is ONE! Everybody only sponsored ONE MORE! Makes you go
hmmmmm, but continue right on, it gets better.
What If……You sponsored 5 ………….?
You sponsor 5 and all the way down the distribution channel
everyone is taught how to sponsor 5, „The REAL DIFFERENCE is
that everybody only sponsored THREE MORE!‟ than our original
example.

Wow Again! You sponsor 7 and you teach all the way down for everyone to sponsor 7. You
will end up with 2800 people in your distribution. So, what do you think, would you like to
sponsor 2 or 7? Now everyone is visually and mentally seeing what a small difference in
sponsoring just 1, 3 or 5 more people can bring to everyone‟s business.
Most people can relate to sponsoring one, three, or five more, but usually find it difficult to
relate to the figures on the bottom line. (30, 120, 780, 2800.)
So picture yourself in the last column, having had the time to sponsor seven serious people
into the program. The „seven‟ at the top of the column represents the ones you sponsored
who want to get SERIOUS about building a business of their own. You may have to sponsor
10, 15 or 20 people to get these seven serious business builders.
However, once you totally understand all of the Success Principles, you will find that your
people will get serious QUICKER than people who come into organizations that don‟t know
this material. This presentation will teach you how to work with them so they will get
serious QUICKER.
„Doesn‟t somebody have to sell the product?‟ Going through this principle you will have all
the distributors using the product on a continual basis. During the process of handing out
this presentation you will find people who will want to try the product or just purchase some
from you. It doesn‟t get any easier to have a consumer of the product.
In ANY KIND of network marketing organization, if you have 780 or 2800 people just USING
the product themselves, you have a tremendous volume. (And we haven‟t even included
those people who are not serious business builders, but who are just „product buyers.‟)
Now if they all have two, three, four, or five friends ... let‟s just say they all had ten
customers from among their friends, relatives, and acquaintances, that‟s 7,800 to 28,000
customers! Add to that the 780 to 2800 distributors in your organization. Do you think
8,580 to 29,000+ customers plus the „product buyers‟ will be able to provide you with a
profitable enterprise? That‟s how you make a lot of money in any business, by having a lot
of people doing a little bit. But remember, you are only working with SEVEN SERIOUS
PEOPLE, not a whole army!

You may wonder why people who have sponsored a great deal of new distributors don‟t
seem to have as big of organizations as we have outlined. Read on and you will figure out
why that is and once you understand the principles outlined in this presentation you will see
how you will be able to pass people who have been building organizations for a few years.
As we go into Success Principle #2 covering the „Don‟t be a Salesperson, You will Fail‟ in
network marketing, I will give you a simple parallel showing why sponsoring loads of
distributors may not be a good thing.
Consider the ARMY, the NAVY, the AIR FORCE, the MARINES, or the COAST GUARD. From
the lowest private up to the top brass, nobody has more than five to seven people they are
trying to DIRECTLY supervise. (There may be rare exceptions.) Think about it! Here we
have military organizations with 100‟s of years of experience and they don‟t think anybody
should supervise more than five to seven people. So you tell me why people get into a
network marketing organization and think they can effectively work with 50 people in their
front line.
They CAN‟T DO IT! That‟s why a lot of them fail, and you‟ll see why as you read on.
You shouldn‟t try to work with more than five to seven serious people at a time. However,
make sure that when you sponsor them, you start working down group. There is a point
when they won‟t need you and then can break away and start another line on their own.
This will also free you up to work with yet another serious person, keeping your number of
those that you are working closely with at five to seven. Some programs may allow you to
be effective with only three or four at a time, but none that I know of can be effectively built
with more than five to seven.
Read on and you will find that most of the questions you will have will be answered.

Success Principle #2
Don’t Be a Salesperson – YOU WILL FAIL
WHY do so many sales people fail when working in a network marketing business? And why
do most fail in general….they think they need to be sales people. Please believe me that you
do not want to be a sales person if you want to grow a large organization. Be a teacher, a
presenter, an ambassador and success can be yours.
This Success Principle #2 will help explain why being a sales person will keep you from
becoming successful in this business. Sales people are usually recruited due to their
amazing ability to „sell‟ a service or product and boy will they be able to sign a lot of people
up, however, we are not in the Direct Sales business so our form of marketing is not their
primary expertise.
When they go out and sign 100 people up they have 100 people tapping on their shoulder
needing help and when they can‟t „sell‟ others on signing up they will stop and begin
dropping out because they haven‟t been taught to sponsor people or don‟t know how to
teach their people how to sponsor. Now they are cycling through people coming in and out,
getting more in while others are dropping out. So, even though it sounds exciting to sign up
100 people, it truly makes sense to sign up a few and spend time teaching them how to
sponsor and then teach them how to teach. (Big Hint – This presentation accomplishes a
great deal of this for you and when you are ready additional presentations with principles
will be supplied to you to freely give to your distributors. Isn‟t this a better way and we can
all get there together!)
The best thing you can do is help a sales person understand that we are not going to try to
tell them how to sell, in fact all we want them to learn is how to teach and sponsor and
build a huge organization that runs deep. You will usually have to share with them that just
because they have sponsored someone, they have not duplicated anything. They must now
help the new distributor learn the „Make Life Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation,
give out this presentation and eventually learn the introduction of the company, all which
will be taught to them by their sponsor or leadership team through sponsoring or training
sessions.
This is a business of simplicity and duplication. You must explain to your people that if they
truly want to duplicate themselves, they have to be at least THREE LEVELS DEEP; only then
are they DUPLICATED!
If your sponsor dropped out before you had an opportunity to see that the program really
did work, you most likely would assume that it doesn‟t work, because it didn‟t work for
him/her. After all, he or she is your sponsor and certainly must know more about it than
you.
You must learn how to sponsor and teach how to sponsor. This presentation is the biggest
key to both of these. Everyone you sponsor will help teach and everyone they sponsor you
will help teach. Now duplication is starting!
Now, you are THREE DEEP. If you go away (to work with someone else or to a different area
of the country), this sub-group will continue on. I emphasize: YOU HAVE TO GO THREE
DEEP! You have nothing until you are three deep and only then are you DUPLICATED.

This one „gem‟ within this Success Principle is enough to help you surpass many in the
Network Marketing profession. Become at least 3 deep as soon as possible learning and
teaching, learning and teaching.
One of the best ways to help sales people is to help them learn to teach the people they
sponsor and go deep instead of running out and sponsoring as many people as they can. If
they do the latter people will start dropping out after a couple months because they never
learn how to grow their business.
Ok, if you haven’t figured out the next question….
What do I teach them?
The answer is: You teach them what you are learning right here in this presentation, the
Success Principles. They need to have an understanding of all of them, but initially the first
four.
Of the 7 Success Principles, the first four are really a MUST. For most people you will just
give/send them the link and let them review the information on their own. There will be
times you may want to sit with them and go over the Success Principles because it is
motivating and fun to get together to review and learn.

Success Principles #3
The ‘Must Do List’
In Success Principle #1 we told you what to do, in Success Principle #2 we told you some of
what NOT to do and now comes Success Principle #3; we have the MUST DO LIST.
#1 – Get In and Get Started
#2 – Use the Products
#3 – Shift into High Gear
#4 – Share with Friends
Here is a really cool story to help remember what you Must Do to go on this trip to build
your business. So let‟s get busy and start on a road trip!
Before you go on any road trip you must put the Key in and start the car. (If
we don‟t sign up in the business, we won‟t get anywhere) Ok, ok, you may
have the new keys that you don‟t actually put in, but boy you have to have
them before you can go anywhere!
Now in order to get to our destination, let‟s say it‟s about 2000 miles away we would
definitely be stopping for fuel quite a few times. You must make sure you
have fuel to start and continually refuel all along the way.
(We have to use our consumable products again and
again if we want to keep traveling.)
Now we always drive a stick shift because we have to go through the gears to finally
get into that high gear and a smooth ride. In Network Marketing you don‟t start off in high
gear, well we suppose you could, but doesn‟t that sound like the high-powered sales person
we just learned about? So you start off in 1st Gear and this is where you sponsor your first
5-7.
Now you‟ve moved up to 2nd Gear and you are helping teach those 5-7 to sponsor their 5-7
for a total of 25-49 in 2nd Gear. So we are moving through the mountains going between 1st
and 2nd gear until we have everyone that we have sponsored in their 2nd Gear, then it‟s time

for us to move to 3rd Gear. While we are in 3rd Gear the people we sponsored are in 2nd Gear
coming up behind us. What‟s fun is when someone we sponsor takes off and passes us.
We will continue to help teach to sponsor for the 125-343 distributors that have joined you
on the road trip. If we check our rear view mirror we see a long line of cars on this road trip
with us. Each making sure that the other has help when they need it. Sharing some fuel if
necessary and as we grow more people are watching us and noticing us. Everyone starts in
1st Gear and moves through each gear sponsoring 7 key people to the group and teaching
how to sponsor.
Wow! By the time we are in 4th gear we are riding along pretty smooth, time for Over
Drive! There will be a time that people will want to know what the excitement is and join us.
Along the way we are sharing our product and there will be people who will want to be our
retail customers through this sharing process. You can even share them with strangers.
When they see the benefits of your products and your marketing plan, they will become
NEW FRIENDS. NO SELLING required.
Aren‟t you glad you came on this road trip!
Starting from square one with your new person, you want to get into their subconscious,
the NUMBER „seven‟. All you need to do is find seven serious people who want to get serious
about the business. When you run into people and ask them how they are doing, you may
hear the response, „Gee, I can‟t find anyone who wants to sell.‟ There‟s that word „sell‟
again! QUIT LOOKING for people who want to sell! HOWEVER, DO START LOOKING for
people who want to earn an extra $600, $1200, or $1500 per month without having to „go
to work‟ everyday. Or people who want something more out of life, to „Make Life Count‟. Do
you or they know anybody like that? Your answer and theirs, like mine, will be, „Yeah,
everybody!‟

Well they are the people you want to talk to, because everybody would like to have that
kind of money coming in. Share this presentation using the 70 second conversation and
change their life.
They will understand and learn by reading or hearing this that it may take seven to twelve
hours a week of their spare time to build a business.
This is not a lottery ticket, you must give seven to twelve hours of your time each week to
doing the „Make Life Count - 70 Seconds to Success‟ conversation, sending email, making
phone calls to follow up or introduce your sponsor. You will also want to go to training
sessions to hear about how others are doing, what‟s new with the company/product or
practice your 70 second presentation with someone. When you learn and understand the
Success Principles you can teach it to others. The presentation you are now reading will be
an instrumental key in your success.
Now we all know this may be the first time you‟ve had the opportunity to hear/read these
concepts and you are not expected to know it well enough to teach. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO!
To get into a network marketing program, you have to have a SPONSOR and this
presentation to give out. Sponsoring is helping and you will get the help you need from your
sponsor or other members of the leadership team.
If you can go through the material five, six, or even ten times, and a year from now it
meant you could be making one, two, three, four, or even SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS A
MONTH; is it worth spending seven to twelve hours a week?
Earn while you Learn, it doesn‟t get much better than that!

Success Principle #4
Getting the Foundation Solid
When did you really start? One of the best pieces of advice that I was given was to figure
out my „real‟ start date. Some people start right away giving the „Make Life Count - 70
Seconds to Success‟ conversation, others take 2-6 weeks and sometimes longer to begin
their journey to build their business. Go to training sessions and sizzle sessions, you would
not believe how seeing the Success Principle#1 – Multiplication becomes motivation time
and time again. Write it down yourself, so simple. (Or print the last page in the PDF,
laminate it) Use this training system to help you make it easy.
Often a new distributor will get discouraged comparing themselves to others, this is not a
race, it is a journey with a fantastic finish if you do not quit.
Quitters are the only Losers
The Network Marketing business takes time to build a foundation and you are looking to
build a great one with 7 leaders. It may take 10, 15, 20 distributors to find your key
leaders. That‟s ok because you will have a strong foundation and your time is also spent
teaching them to sponsor and helping them teach their distributors.
We all know that when you first start doing anything it takes time to get better. Practice,
and practice with the intent to get better. Have you been generous with your compliments,
have you smiled while talking? Be a wonderful ambassador, share your enthusiasm when
sharing this presentation and follow up on what they liked best and scheduling the next
meeting with your sponsor or to review the website or pamphlet. Duplicate, duplicate,
duplicate…..did we say duplicate.
If we compare our business to building a high rise office, we would spend a great deal of
time digging and establishing a base that would support all the floors we were going to add.
You may feel like you are not seeing results quick enough, however think about that
building and the time it takes to build the foundation. Once the foundation is set and strong
the floors go up relatively fast. You can consider your foundation about 4 levels deep.
Remember this, a good foundation is four levels deep!
You have not just purchased a lottery ticket; there is no „FREE‟ ride. But it is simple. As one
of the great network marketing professionals put it; ”you must get up, shower up, shine up,
suit up, show up with a smile on your face and believe in what you do. Do what you are
supposed to do with integrity!”
Most Network Marketing Professionals work in their business 7-12 hours per week. If you
consistently work those hours engaging people in opening them up to the business by
having the 70 Second conversations, presenting the business presentation with your
sponsor until you are ready with the people who want to move forward, you will be working
what is commonly known as the 1-3-5-7 formula. You must decide how you are willing to
make time to work your business for those 7-12 hours.

1 Year: It‟s going to take you about a year to become functional and profitable in this
profession part-time. Rich in a year, no, you will not be rich in a year. There are occasional
exceptions, but let‟s always talk the rule, not the exception.
3 Years: Part-time, working 7-12 hours a week to make fulltime income. Three years is an
average.
5 Years: It‟s going to take you about five years to become a high-end income earner
7 Years: It will take you on average seven years to become world class.
1-3-5-7 means we‟re going to work hard. This isn‟t to replace your fulltime thing this second
because it‟s a long-term real business that we‟re building. We‟re going to be doing it with
passion and being an ambassador, not with huge an investment
This is NOT a „Get Rich Quick‟ profession. The 7-12 hours a week that you are committing
are for making the 70 second Make Life Count conversation, sharing the business
presentation, following up, attending trainings and hanging out with your fun group of
distributors.
In some of the Success Principles you will be introduced to in the future you will be able to
see that by moving ahead with sponsoring, learning and teaching, sponsoring, learning and
teaching you will be able to experience great results through this process of building.
Now is the time to get back with the person who thought highly enough of you to introduce
you to their business and consider you for one of their „key‟ leaders. Let them know what
