CHRISTMAS is around the corner and Grand Hyatt Macao is deck-ing its halls with a range of eco-friendly and eye-catching designs. In keeping with a tradition of re-using existing hotel materials, fi ve digital Christmas trees will be placed around the hotel lobby, bidding guests and visitors to get into the holiday spirit.
The tech-forward designs include a towering 6.5-meter tree made from 36 recycled television screens and 80 recycled computer monitors. There will also be three 5-meter trees made from 100 recy-cled computer monitors each. The recycled screens and monitors will display festive images and designs in vivid colors.
Guests can also marvel at an elegant 5-meter tree made from 120 recycled gift boxes from previ-ous years. The boxes feature many beautiful designs, including peacock, butterfl y and art deco motifs.
In addition to an abundance of visual pleasures, the hotel will offer a delectable range of sweet offerings throughout the holiday season including a Shortbread House of Edinburgh gift box, a variety of French pastries, Christmas cakes, and the iconic gingerbread man cookies. These will be on display and available for sale at a vintage-style Christmas van in the lobby.
The hotel will host a grand New Year’s Eve celebration, where guests count down to the New Year over a glass of champagne accompanied by music and dancing. All diners will get the chance to watch the master chef’s fantastic culinary performance live in the open kitchen.
