Hello Fellow Coastal Cruisers next week is the Florida District Rally in Altamonte Springs Florida starting Thursday March 21 though Saturday March 23 2019
Hope to see some of you there there will vendors there so you can buy stuff for your motorcycle The District has a lots of events and some classes for you to take if you want so come out and have some fun
Your Chapter Team planned a few new rides for the month of April for you to enjoy so with the weather hopefully get better come out and enjoy the time with your friends and GWRRA family

Five members came out to plan the chapter monthly calendar
The weather is getting nicer for riding We are trying to put rides on
the calendar that is beneficial for our members to get out and enjoy
the weather and comradery We are always looking for your inputs
for rides and events for our group rides
Daytona Bike Week is happening the 8th-17th of March Ride safe
and enjoy the experience
Our gathering is the 16th and after the gathering wersquoll enjoy a ride
and day at the bike week festivities
The Florida District Gathering is being held the 21st thru the 24th
in Altamonte Springs We look for a great chapter turnout
Carmines is our scheduled night out on the 14th at 630pm

Motorist Awareness Moments
With the weather turning better for riding we all have to keep our eyes open for all the hazards on the road including other drivers Also we have to remember to keep hydrated so we donrsquot have any medical problem while riding Remember at your drivers meeting before you ride let other riders know if you have any medical problem or if you are allergic to anything in case something happens while on the ride and you can not tell the emergency personnel So we need to be aware of things around us so we will be safe out there on the road

What is the most common place and type of collision involving a motorcycle and other vehicle
There are certainly many places where vehicles can collide but the most common place for another vehicle and a motorcycle to collide is at an intersection when the other driver is turning left and turns in front of the motorcyclist

Oh my goodness Is it March already where has the beginning of 2019 gone
First and foremost on everyonersquos mind is of course the Florida District Rally on March 21 thru 23 You
remember thatrsquos where you can be educated entertained and enlightened at the same place
Educated -There will be seminars displays and lots of information for you to absorb
Entertained -Thursday AND Friday you will laugh cry and just plain be amazed at the costume contest
talent show and our Really Special Entertainment
Enlightened-Of course Saturday at closing ceremonies you will be witness to the three folks who will
benefit from the raffle ticket sales Donrsquot forget the 3 ticket winners should have the name of the recipient
of a money prize (who sold the winning tickets)
We made some chapter visits this month attended the Ocala Strawberry Festival with Ocala chapter made
some family visits Phew itrsquos to early to be so tired Now at this writing I am working down in
Sebring helping remodel our daughterrsquos new house and Pam is packing up her old house so yes tired
Whew But gotta get done in time for the District conference
If you havenrsquot made your plans to attend the District conference in Altamonte Springs donrsquot delay
You will miss all the FUN Please stop by the Rider Education booth to say hi buy pins and patches for
your chapter or maybe purchase the winning raffle ticket if we have any left As of this writing we have
about 800 left KUDOS to all those of you who have really helped in this effort this year We REALLY
appreciate your help

working very hard to make sure we are well represented at the rally
Thursdays events include the Person of the Year Presentation Costume Contest and Talent Show Be
sure to come out to watch all the chapters compete and chiefly have fun You never know when you
will find a unicorn among the chapters
Fridays events include the Couple of the Year Selection Banner Competition Ice Cream Social the
Out of this World Evening Entertainment and the Lighted Bike Show Please come join in and watch
the Live entertainment just one of the ways the Florida District is improving our experience to enjoy
the Rally with our friends and have fun
Saturdays events include Mascot Collage and Diorama Competitions as well as the Chapter Team
Challenge The night ends with Closing Ceremonies where we will learn who is the lucky winner of the
Grand Prize Goldwing Thank you for everyone who has helped sell the Goldwing Tickets this year As
we know these tickets help support our Rider Education Program and allow members free access to
Medic First Aid Classes and other Rider Education Seminars

I hope everyone is excited to start Wingin Out of this World at the Florida District Rally We have been
working very hard to make sure we are well represented at the rally
Thursdays events include the Person of the Year Presentation Costume Contest and Talent Show Be
sure to come out to watch all the chapters compete and chiefly have fun You never know when you
will find a unicorn among the chapters
Fridays events include the Couple of the Year Selection Banner Competition Ice Cream Social the
Out of this World Evening Entertainment and the Lighted Bike Show Please come join in and watch
the Live entertainment just one of the ways the Florida District is improving our experience to enjoy
the Rally with our friends and have fun
Saturdays events include Mascot Collage and Diorama Competitions as well as the Chapter Team
Challenge The night ends with Closing Ceremonies where we will learn who is the lucky winner of the
Grand Prize Goldwing Thank you for everyone who has helped sell the Goldwing Tickets this year As
we know these tickets help support our Rider Education Program and allow members free access to
Medic First Aid Classes and other Rider Education Seminars
