QUALITY PROTECTION FROM

Goliath Footwear, part of Yakupoglu A.S., is a growing safety footwear business serving the UK and the world with quality

made PPE solutions. At Goliath Footwear we specialise in solutions fit for harsh working conditions, and apply our established

technology Dual Density Injected Rubber soling to many of our footwear designs for the ultimate in durability and comfort. We

also invest in world leading technologies such as GORE-TEX® and L-Protection® to ensure footwear meets the challenging conditions

they are to be used in.

We have a number of new products in the 2013 range including new S3 sport hiker and trainer styles in the General Industrial range (pages 38-40)

and new dealer boots for quick donning (page 41). We also have a new welders boot ‘Arc’ with quick release system (page 61). Watch out for the

starred products which indicate a size range suitable for men and women.

The 2013 catalogue sees the introduction of new QR codes where you can see some of our products in action plus video footage from the factory and testing

lab. You will need to download a QR code scanner app on your smart phone for this.

Finally Goliath Footwear is currently developing a new online distributor portal in order for distributors to place orders and check stock in real time, making

We partner with world leading brand technologies such as GORE-TEX®, D30® to make our footwear comfortable, durable and protective for the job. The intensive testing in partnering GORE-TEX® ensures the quality is consistent throughout the manufacturing process.

Goliath Footwear, part of Yakupoglu A.S., has a reliable and transparent supply chain. In our own factory we specialise in injected sole technology using the most advanced soling machinery and robots, quality raw materials and components and a quality workforce who bring their skill and expertise. Our in-house SATRA accredited laboratory, TEKNOTEKS, allows us to test all raw materials as well as finished and semi finished goods. We support this in an ISO 9001:2008 environment and as members of SATRA to audit and certify our products.

We have the latest in 3D footwear design software which means we can rapidly design and develop new products. Our investment in CAD/CAM material cutting and computerised stitching enables us to stay at the leading edge of technology and superiority.

We are specialists in injection sole technology where we produce combinations of Rubber, PU and TPU for the Goliath Footwear range and directly inject onto the uppers for the strongest possible bond. Dual Density injected Rubber sole technology is particularly suited to harsh working environments and is an asset in our best selling range, Groundmasters.

With so many ‘waterproof’ membranes on the market - how can you be sure is worth the investment? The answer is in the testing lab.

Unbeatable Quality

Flex Test Performance Comfort footwear is not only

durably waterproof and breathable, it is also robust and hardwearing giving you maximum protection and comfort no matter how long and demanding the work.

In the Gore centrifugal test boots are filled with water, the centrifuge rotates with 240 turns per minute - enormous centrifugal forces press water out of the boot but not even the tiniest leak can get past the test. At the Goliath factory 2% of the daily production must be tested for 30 minutes in the Gore centrifuge.

In the Gore Crumple Test, fabrics are squashed and stretched repeatedly in extreme temperatures for hours on end to test for leakage.

Standard EN ISO 20345 requires only 1000 steps in shallow water and permits 3 cm(3) ingress of water. In contrast the Gore lab simulates extended walking in the rain with 300,000 to 500,000 flex cycles corresponding to a walking distance of min 300km.

Testing at this level is reassurance that Goliath boots will perform for an extended lifetime making the significantly stand out performance membrane.

with so many ‘waterproof’ membranes on the market - how can you be sure is worth the investment? the answer is in the testing lab.

• standard en Iso 20345 requires only 1000 steps in shallow water and permits 3 cm(3) ingress of water. In contrast the Gore lab simulates extended walking in the rain with 300,000 to 500,000 flex cycles corresponding to a walking distance of min 300km.

• In the Gore Crumple test, fabrics are squashed and stretched repeatedly in extreme temperatures for hours on end to test for leakage.

• In the Gore centrifugal test boots are filled with water, the centrifuge rotates with 240 turns per minute - enormous centrifugal forces press water out of the boot but not even the tiniest leak can get past the test. at the Goliath factory 2% of the daily production must be tested for 30 minutes in the Gore centrifuge.
