1.   Successful chain restaurant campaigns

a.   Domino’s

i.   Dominos has a lot of campaigns that require followers to post a picture of their purchases, and they can win a prize.

ii.   This campaign in particular had a lot of feedback/popularity because the prize was $10,000, and it was a very simple contest to participate in.

b.   Einstein Bro’s Bagels

i.   People who liked the Facebook page received a coupon for a free bagel ii.   They ended up being the 54th most popular business on Facebook

ii.   The company does a good job leading up to the day,

i.   What I liked about this campaign was that they focused on something completely other than their products…. The campaign showed what the brand supports on a deeper level-in this case, education.

i.   The #GoodDeedFeed was for national sandwich day, and the campaign focused on donating to feeding America. For every sub that was purchased, customers received an additional free sub, and a meal was donated to feeding America.

ii.   The campaign was so successful because of the use of all social media outlets. Days leading up to it, all main social media outlets were used equally to promote the day, which I think is very important because nowadays, each outlet appeals to different age group. A problem companies can have with promoting awareness is that they focus too much on own media outlet most likely being Instagram. Although twitter is fading for the millennial generation, and Facebook is overpowered by Instagram at times, they both still appeal to many people. I noticed that all three outlets were used equally, which I think was very helpful for the campaign.

iii.   There was also a snapchat geofilter for national sandwich day sponsored by Subway, which promoted a lot of awareness among snapchat users, because it is easy to access. Geofilters are a good strategy, because even if one person uses it and posts it to their snapchat story or send it to others, it can go a long way.

f.  

i.   With Margaritas locations being in communities, I think that this campaign is interesting to consider. Starbucks has a program that people can nominate others for their honorable/ inspiring deeds, and their nomination has a chance to be featured and given special Starbucks benefits. After seeing this I thought it would be fitting for Margaritas because of the fact that they are in the hub of many towns and communities that are not too overwhelming in size

I.   Voting polls always seems to get good internet responses…. And generally, social media posts that are interactive tend to be more appealing for users.
