A military post was built in 1903. The first name of Sapa is Cha Pa originally for medical purposes. Its bracing climate was beneficial to westerners exhausted by a long staying in Vietnam. In 1914 the main purpose of the civil authorities was to create in Tonkin a summer capital in the mountains. In 1922, they built sumptuous hotel in the region and then Cha Pa became well - known. 14.30: A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot ofFansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a HydraulicPower Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon.Trekking distance is about 2.5 kms and it lasts for 2 hours17.00: Come back to Sapa Town. We recommend good local restaurants for your dinner on your own, overnight in hotel with night activities.

Day 2: Sapa – Hanoi by bus with a long trek Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B/L)

7.00 – 7.45: Have breakfast at hotel and prepare light pack for trekking8.00: A short drive to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain after that heading to Ta Van village - home of Dzay ethnic people.Trekking distance is about 9 kms and it lasts for 3.5 hours11.30: Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa.12.00 – 15.00: Have a shower at hotel, check out and have lunch and time at leisure on your own.15.00: Meet all group members at hotel to get ready for Hanoi. 15.15: Get on bus to go back to Hanoi with two comfort breaks.21.15: We say goodbye to you at your hotel/stay. French – Viet architecture and visit “Pho” village of Flower H’Mong People.Trekking distance is about 3 kms and it lasts for 2 hours 14.00: Take 1.45 hour drive back to Lao Cai city, have a shower and relax in the border gate city. Day 2: Short trek Ban Ho – Nam Toong – Thanh Phu - Sapa - Ha Noi (B, L)

Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station, stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. 16.30: Come back to Sapa Town. USEFUL INFORMATION TO MAKE SAPA TRIP COMFORTABLE & ENJOYABLE

Good Morning Sapa.com would like to give you some useful tips to make you feel totally ready for Sapa trip s with active preparation for unforgettable experience, please spend some times to study.

A. SAFETY REGULATIONS

1. Tour leader is available on bus to escort you to Sapa and back to Hanoi. Please follow our Tour leader’s instructions on bus.2. With more than 4 year experience, our drivers will drive the bus safely and smoothly. Any request to stop on the road, you need to

inform our tour leader and he will request the drivers to follow.3. Bus speed on the whole trip may be changed “Slow” or “fast” due to traffic law of government or conditions of the road.4. We have 2 comfort breaks/1 way to make sure that you, tour leader and drivers feel comfortable and safe.5. The distance from Lao Cai city to Sapa is about 38 Kms (24 Miles) and it is quite dangerous because of lots of zigzag hill roads.

Our drivers will keep slow speed steadily about 20 – 25 Km per hour to make sure 100% safety and let you enjoy the spectacular view of valleys of sapa.

6. Old people should not go for a long trek. It is from 6 kms to 8 kms.

B. THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU TO SAPA

1. Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in October, November, December, January, February and March

2. Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March3. Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong

because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.4. You should take medicine with you although there are some chemist’s shops in Sapa in case you get sick.5. Homestay’s facilities are not as in hotel in Sapa.

C. PICK UP & DROP OFF POLICY

1. Our bus is in big size, it can not get in small streets in the Old Quarter to pick you up and drop you off. It must stays outside the Old Quarter so we will use or taxi or mini bus to pick you up and drop you off at your hotels or stays.
