This letter accompanies the annual report for the 2018-2019 Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) through June 30, 2019. I continue to be overwhelmed by the support of so many people toward our diocesan appeal, and I am grateful for the $5.2 million pledged from more than 17,000 families. Although we fell short of our goal of $5.8 million this year, you have also supported, with great success, the Encountering Christ Capital Campaign launched in 2018.

Once again, the faithful of the Diocese of Austin responded generously with their prayers and financial gifts, truly embracing Jesus’ command to “love one another.” Your gift to the CSA allows our love to abide with others in our community through teaching and direct service and helps to strengthen existing programs, expanding our mission of making and nourishing disciples and assisting people in need.

Esta carta acompaña al reporte anual del Llamado Para los Servicios Católicos 2018-2019 (CSA por sus siglas en inglés) de hasta el 30 de junio de 2019. Continúo asombrado por el apoyo de tanta gente hacia nuestro llamado diocesano, y estoy agradecido por los $5.2 millones comprometidos por parte de más de 17,000 familias. Aunque no llegamos a nuestro objetivo de $5.8 millones este año, ustedes también han apoyado, con gran éxito, la Campaña Capital Encontrando a Cristo lanzada en 2018.

Una vez más, los fieles de la Diócesis de Austin respondieron generosamente con sus oraciones y sus donaciones financieras, dando una verdadera bienvenida al mandamiento de Jesús de “que se amen los unos a los otros”.
