Greetings from The Casa de Ninos and Escuela Bilingue El Camino! The days are slowly getting longer and the afternoons warmer here in Honduras. Yet, the nights are still cool and bedazzling (whether by the stars high above or the lightening bugs hovering and sparkling in the grass below, or both). In other words, the climate is now highly conducive for the three “L’s”: living, learning, and loving. The biggest change in daily life occurred when I arrived in Honduras after my visa trip in January to discover that the teenaged-girls’ house which was home to five girls before I left (just three weeks prior) was now home to only one. The circumstances under which the girls left were not good and kept us worried for a while. Just over a week ago, one of the girls returned (so now, in addition to Rosmery and myself, we have two girls living in the house), but it is not likely that any of the others will come back. I am enjoying very much having both of these girls in the house again, and soon, some of the younger girls will be moving up into the Casa de Chicas. In my lug- gage from my visa trip, I brought back a cookie press, and I plan to have fun making cookies with the girls! The new school-year started the first week of February, and now Escuela Bilingue El Camino has Kinder- 3 rd grade classes. Until very near the start of the school year, we still did not have enough teachers, but God has provided and we have great teachers doing a wonderful job. I love working with them and I can see that the students are learning. In addition to the A-B-C’s and 1-2-3’s, they are learning to follow directions, to cooperate, to take responsibility for their lives, and to believe that not only do we love them, but that there is One who loves them more than they can imagine. I believe it is going to be a very good year for the children. The biggest change in logistics for me came when I completed my year-long commitment with the United Methodist Church’s General Board of Global Ministries. I am now excited to be transitioning to long-term status (longer than two years) with a new sending agency, CornerStone International (supporting missionaries through prayer, training, receiving donations and other arrangements). CornerStone International is not to be confused with Cornerstone Foundation which administers the facilities and work for Loma de Luz Hostpital). I believe it is also going to be a good year for me. Lately I’ve been pondering 1 John 4. Some of the first verses I learned as a child were 1 John 4:7-8: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God for God is love.” This year, however, I’ve been considering 1 John 4:17-19. The reason that I can love God and love other people is because God first loved me, and the more that I learn to trust and love God and other people, the less fearful I become and the more my capacity to love increases. To adapt a reference from C.S. Lewis and S. Trevor Francis, until now, I have been playing in the tide-pools of love. This year, I am being amazingly engulfed by the ocean. “O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free! • Greetings from The Casa de Ninos and Escuela Bilingue El Camino!

The days are slowly getting longer and the afternoons warmer here in Honduras. Yet, the nightsare still cool and bedazzling (whether by the stars high above or the lightening bugs hovering andsparkling in the grass below, or both). In other words, the climate is now highly conducive forthe three Ls: living, learning, and loving.

The biggest change in daily life occurred when I arrived in Honduras after my visa trip in Januaryto discover that the teenaged-girls house which was home to five girls before I left (just threeweeks prior) was now home to only one. The circumstances under which the girls left were notgood and kept us worried for a while. • Yes! I would like to support Kathryn in Honduras.

I will pray for her faithfully. Enclosed is a gift of $____________ . Enclosed is a monthly gift of $___________.

    Name: ______________________ Phone: _____________________ Email:_________________________

    Address: ________________________ City:________________________ Zip:______________________

Please make checks payable to and send to: CornerStone International, PO Box 192, Wilmore, KY 40390. (1-800-859-4578)Please note Goodloe-ST on the memo of your check. Thank you!

You were gracious to enable me to spend all of 2014 in Honduras. I will always be thankful. If you are interested in supportingme this year, you will receive my newsletters from CornerStone International and send financial support to them. CornerStone hasa significantly easier website to navigate than the previous organization.

You may donate from the link, below, which provides details about check-writing, PayPal, and/or automatic bank payments. Thelatter is the most convenient and least expensive method. CornerStone International charges a 10% administrative fee, but that alsogoes toward helping me! The amount of 10% is also pretty standard (or on the low end of standard) among sending agencies Icould have chosen. Here is the link: http://cornerstoneinternational.org/staff-short-term-goodloe/

Another way that you could help me greatly would be to let other people know about my endeavors. Since I last wrote to you, Isold my car (a huge answer to prayer!) and paid off my student loan. However, I still need to raise support funds for 2015 andbeyond. So, the more financial partners I have, the better for the long-haul! Please feel free to tell others about my work here, andalso please do let me know if you are aware of any churches or other groups that may be interested in helping out.

And lastly, but most importantly, please continue to pray for me, for the children, and for the work, here. I say it all the timebecause it is so true, I could not survive or work here if it werent for your prayers and intercession on my/our behalf. I was in astudy this week that spoke about looking not to what we lack or our inadequacies, but to the greatness of our God and His ability toprovide what is needed. As I keep my eyes on Him, I am able to work through my issues and do what is asked of me, but when Iturn my focus somewhere else, I become afraid and unable to do what I need to do. I know that God is more than able to sustain meand all of us. Please pray that we will not lose sight of that, and that His amazing glory will be shown through our imperfectionsand lack.

Thank you again, so much, for your partnership in 2014! I pray that in 2015 you also may begin to swim in and plumb the depthsof the ocean of Gods abundant love!

    Many blessingsto you,

    Love,Kathryn

    Partners Needed!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!

Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy loveLeading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore! How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!

How He watches oer His loved ones, died to call them all His own;How for them He intercedeth, watcheth oer them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!

    Tis an ocean full of blessing, tis a haven giving rest!O the deep, deep love of Jesus, tis a heaven of heavens to me;

And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!
