Founded in 2012, Goodordering, the East London bag company launched with a successful Kickstarter campaign for a range of ‘cycling bags for the non-lycra-clad-cyclist’. The bags are inspired by matching luggage sets of the 1980s, Japanese school bags and the Scandinavian design aesthetic. They incorporate all the mod-cons for today’s technology whilst retaining an air of nostalgia.

The bags are manufactured in Shenzhen, China. A great deal of attention is paid to ensure working conditions and quality standards are high. This includes the selection of materials and production methods. Close contact with the factory and an open trusting relationship is key for this. Goodordering prides itself on a strong relationship with our Chinese partners.

Key to the brand is affordable pricing. RRPs are all under £60. This makes bags easily accessible to a wide audience. This is achieved through the careful consideration of pricing very early on in the design phase. The matching white binding and boxy construction are examples of this. This means that quality is not compromised to achieve a desirable, affordable product.

Winter 2014 will see new styles introduced, building on our success in the cycling arena. The new accessories will be centred around lifestyles demanding the same kind of convenience and functionality of the first range. This will include accessories for related urban tribes – the freelancer, the mum & dad, the creative industry business traveller and the student. The mother using the handlebar bag on her bicycle can easily attach to her child’s buggy, or use it as a satchel on a work trip. Goodordering’s multi-functional products will make life easier for this modern day audience. Into 2015 and beyond, with a continued focus on design, the brand will expand into new relevant sectors and regions whilst retaining its distinctive look and East London brand heritage.
