Incorporation

Google is a global technology company. It was founded on September 4, 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, financed by the engineer Andy Bechtolsheim.

At first the search engine they had created was called BackRub, the name was then changed into “Google” with reference to the word “googol” (1 followed by a 100 zeros).

“[Their] mission [was] to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
