    Project report

Preface:- Kota is a third largest city of Rajasthanstate. After jaipur & jodhpur, Kota city is going to develop asmetro city with expansion of UIT area, RICCO area, development of universities with Rajasthan university, kotauniversity, and herdsman open university. In addition to noneprivate university, are also going to introducing theirdevelopment. Kota is world fame educational center with so

many coaching institutions and hostels, about 75 thousand toone lacks students coming yearly for coaching from all thestates of india. This also helps in development of kota. Alsokota is very much suitable for industrial development and alsoknown as industrial city having sufficient water and electricityas well connected with railway.

    These all demanding infrastructures devlop

in city like roads, overbridges, buildings, hostels, boundries, multiplacks, malls etc. are required building

material. The basic mineral essential for building works, ismasonry stone for manufacturing of grits.

In Kota tehsil Ladpura there was so many

mining leases are there previously, for mineral sand stone aremasonry stone in forest & revenue area but after theimplementation of forest conservation act and decision ofhonourable.supreme court on 12.12.96 all mining activities inforest area stopped and they are not diverted due to centuryarea and also due to expansion of UIT area the existing miningleases are not renewed. As demand of mineral raised due toexpansion of development works and production of mineral

falls due to restrictions, it create unauthorise mining to full fillthe demand specially in adjoining forest area because the kotacity covered mostly from forest areas.

The production and quality of sand stone isdemanding for constructions in nearby areas also. The acidproof quality of spotless red colour, are also demanding inflooring of industries and out sides. Due to speciality of Kota

sandstone specially weather proof stone and accept goodpolishing it create demands for export in other countries. Allsuch demands generate Govt. revenue and also foreigncurrency by export.

But due to stop mining work of such ademanding mineral it creates great loss of revenue andunemployment also generates unauthorise mining to full fillthe demands of the development.

Presently in Ladpura, tehsil of kota distt.there are only 8 leases of sand stone and 11 leases ofmasonry stone are not sufficient to full fill the requirements ofdeveloping city.

To develop legal sources of mineral to full fillthe requirements. Govt.of Rajasthan instructed on dated02.09.2011 to propose diversion of such forest areas which isunauthorise prone mining area, and creates law and order

having good deposits of mineral and and is not vegetatedarea. The proposed area full fills all such requirements fordiversion.

The proposed area is having good depositsof mineral sand stone required for industrial use and also indemand for export. The overburden and wastage of this areafor producing sand stone is used as masonry stone andproducing grits as it is good and approved for this purpose inorder to meet out demand and supply gap for developmentwork of kota city. It found necessary to diversify the forest landbecause of there is no other land is available for this purpose.

It also support to stop unauthorise mining in other forest land.
