Wind Challenge Returns March 16! Teams and VolunteersNeeded.

Wind Challenge is a hands-on program that fuelsstudent interest in science, technology and windenergy! This event is brought to the Gorge by theGorge Tech Alliance, Columbia Gorge CommunityCollege and Google. The 2019 event is Saturday, March16 at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center. During the event, teams of middle or high schoolstudents learn about wind turbine technology anddesign, and apply their skills in an all-day competitionto build, test, and present their wind turbine models toa group of judges. A hands-on STEM Fair keeps theparticipants busy and is open to the public for free.

Call to Action:

Feb 1 deadline for team sign up! Details.Volunteer! After training, you would help theteams build their turbines as a "mentor." Time isroughly 8am to 4pm on March 16. Details.
