The Character of God & The Purpose of Man

What is God Like?Existence & Attributes: God as Creator, Owner, King- This is represented in the top image

- The “G” represents God (Notice that it is uppercase)

- The crown represents God’s Ownership & Kingship

- The “L” represents God’s Love & the “J” represents God’s Justice.

Question to ask:- Does God exist? If so, what is He like?

Answer: God does exist & 2 of His defining attributes are His Love & His Justice.

The Problem of Sin & How it Relates to GodAre You Fulfilling Your Purpose?Problem of Sin- This is represented in the shrinking of the “g” and the placement of the crown on the “M.”

Question to ask:- Do you think you are fulfilling your purpose?

Answer: We have all failed at fulfilling our purpose; this is what sin is.

Key Verse:- Romans 3:10-12, 23

Answer: Because of His Holiness, He hates sin & it separates us from Him.

Person & Work of Christ & Our ResponseHow will you escape God’s justice?Person & Work of Christ- This is represented by the “L,” “J,” & both of the “P’s.” - The “L” again stands for God’s Love & the “J” for God’s Justice. These two attributes of God have perfectly met, & have each been upheld in the cross of Christ. - The “P” on the left stands Jesus taking the Penalty that we deserved for our sin, while the “P” on the right stands for us receiving Christ’s Perfection through the cross.- This image shows that God has restored His original design through Christ.

Question to ask:- How will you escape from God’s Justice & Wrath?

Answer: Christ has absorbed the penalty we deserved for our sin, & has now

given us His perfect record.
