Rita Pearson said, “Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best
they can possibly be”.
As Early Childcare Educators, you can be a champion for every child you encounter. As you work with children
each day remember to look at each child individually. Where is each child? How do I work with this child to help them master certain skills? MyTeachingStrategies™ will help you
answer these questions. Since the temporary launch in April, the leadership team at the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) along with the Program Officers at the Children’s Service
Council have worked hand in hand with the leadership team at Teaching Strategies to make upgrade to MyTeachingStrategies™ a smooth transition for everyone.
With that said, Strong Minds Providers have been transitioned from GOLD® to MyTeachingStrategies™ as of
August 15, 2017. This upgrade is a result of gathering feedback from GOLD® subscribers like you, Teaching Strategies has simplified the way to carry out your
commitment to ongoing, formative assessment. Using what you have learn through the assessment process to inform the many other aspects of building a high-quality program—from
individualizing instruction, to communicating with families, to investing in professional development and program improvement.
Thank you to Devos Blum Family YMCA, My First Steps & Kiddie Haven for submitting GOLD in Action pictures! Submit your pictures to be displayed on the next issue of GOT GOLD!
