General Information/AdviceInformation regarding any actual paycheck release delay will be issued by DFAS/PSD/PSA. Be conservative with your money in the interim.

If military paychecks are not released on time:• Utilize monies in savings/emergency fund and then reimburse your fund once paycheck is received• Know that 1 May allotments could be impacted if the budget impasse continues to that date• If you do not have sufficient funds to pay all of your obligations (rent, mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc.), contact the

company in advance and explain that payment will be delayed because of the pay stoppage due to the federal budget situation. Assure the company that they will be paid once pay resumes and request that any late fees/penalties be waived due to the circumstances. See sample letter:

Information from military and military affiliated entities:• If the budget impasse continues until 1 May, Lincoln Military Housing will not be issuing eviction notices or

assessing late fees or any other types of fees due to 1 May payment/allotment not being received.• Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society stands ready to assist service members and family members with pre-

approved financial assistance of $300 for single Sailors and Marines and $600 for Navy and Marine Corps families. To obtain assistance, the client need only show a military ID card and sign a repayment document. During this timeframe the Quick Assist Loan program will be suspended.
