Starting and finishing at Govan Subway, this 2.4miles route around historical Govan takes in Govan Cross, Elder Park and the riverside walkway as well as 5 varied and interesting DoD venues along the way. Leave Govan Subway, cross over at the Pedestrian lights and walk right along Govan Rd. At the main road turn left and walk along till Orkney St across the road and the Orkney Street Enterprise Centre (venue 69). Walk back to Govan Rd, cross over and down Napier Street through the houses onto the riverside walkway. Walk left along past the water taxi over to the Riverside Museum and turn left back up towards Govan to Govan Cross Church (venue 59), After leaving the Church carry on right along Govan Rd to the Pearce Institute (venue 70) and Govan Old Church (venue 60). Then continue along Govan Road past Fairfield Ship Yard crossing at the pedestrian lights and into Elder Park. Take the first path on the right, past the pond and out onto Drive Rd. Cross at the pelican crossings and go down Skipness Drive to Linthouse Church (venue 68). Return to Elder Park and take the middle path cutting diagonally across the park and out the gate beside Elder Park Library. Go left and walk down Langlands Rd, across Golspie St at the lights and continue down Langlands Rd then right down Burleigh St back to Govan Rd and the Subway. 60.
