It is famous for groundnuts (Chintamani Kalebeeja) and snacks of

It is famous Manufacture of Sambrani agarbathi(incense)
industry.
One of the oldest dargahs in Karnataka, the Murugmulla Dargah of
Fakhi Shah Wali about 8 Kms from Chintamani.
Kaiwara,Ambajidurga and Varadaanjaneya Temple draws
thousands of pilgrims.
