www.gracechristian.com Some Ways to Reach Out During the Holidays: Isaiah’s Inn Christmas Dinner–Dec. 5 th : Isaiah’s Inn is a local ministry to displaced families that we support on a monthly basis. They thoroughly screen clients to provide financial counseling and funds to families who are working but have been in financial crisis. The families must show motivation to be independent and be willing to work towards that goal. This Christmas dinner (at the Highland Complex at 5pm) is a celebration of past and present families who have been blessed by the services of Isaiah’s Inn throughout the year. Nursing Home Outreaches: Oak Manor– Sunday, December 19 th : On the third Sunday of ever y month we visit the residents of Oak Manor at 2pm for a time of signing, prayer, Bible reading, and fellowship. Anyone can participate! Arden Courts– Monday, December 20 th : Every month a group of our young moms and their children visit Arden Courts, a facility for an Alzheimers patients, to a time of sharing and encouragment. Grace Givers: The purpose of Grace Givers is to show the love of Christ to our community by providing food to families in need. The food is provided by gener ous donations from Grace Christian Fellowshi p’s families and kids. The delivery of the food is carried out by a group of children and ministry leaders. Those who participate in Grace Givers have the privilege of donating food to those in need, taking the time to deliver the food to the homes of the families, praying with the families, spreading the Gospel to the families and inviting the families to attend Gr ace Christian Fellowship. Phaino: An Evening of Worship Mark your calendars for our next Phaino: An Evening of Worship which will be on January 9 th . “Phaino” comes from the Greek word φαί νω which means to shine, or to give light, or to bring light. The Apostle Paul exhorte d the church of Philippi to “shine (Phaino) like stars in the sky, among a crooked and warped generation, as you hold firmly to the word of life” (Philippians 2:14-16). Every Phaino ha s its own t heme and its own distinct w orship experience geare d to challenged us to phaino (shine) forth the Gospel of Christ as we share and show the love of God to those around us. Our theme for Sunday, January 9 th is “Already, But Not Yet.” We hope to have you and your family joins us from 6pm to 7:30pm. Children are enc ouraged to come and participate with their parents. Christmas Eve at Grace: We would like to invite you and your family to join us on Christmas Eve for one ofour most special times of worship and fellowship as we treasure and remember the birth of our Savior! The service begins at 6:00pm. Come early for a good seat. Children will be sitting with their famil ies as there will be no childcare. New Wednesday Night Series–The StoryIn the new year we will begin a new Wednesday night series entitled, The Story–Learning to Read the Bible Book by Book. Each Wednesday night we will survey an entire book of the Bible moving chronologically from Genesis to Revelation and discovering how each book fits together, collectively forming The Story. Our Wednesday night service begins at 7pm and e nd at 8:30pm. We also offer a children’s program and youth groups during the same time.
