Activity 6.4 - Measuring temperature

The metric unit for measuring temperature is degrees Celcius (°C). These are analogue thermometers. The temperature is marked on the thermometer and the liquid inside the tube expands when the temperature rises. A comfortable body temperature for humans is 37 °C. This is an example of a digital thermometer. The temperature is shown in numbers/digits. The temperature reading is taken by sensors that are sometimes made out of metal wires.
