Grade 9 2017 Examination Rules & Schedule

Any infringement of the examination rules will be considered as serious misconduct. Serious disruption of the testing environment or violation of the exam rules may result in the exam being given a score of 0.

EXAM RULES & GUIDELINES:

1. Arrive on time for the examination. If you arrive late you must report to Ms. Nesreen immediately and

may not be allowed to start the examination.

2. Attendance at all examinations is compulsory. If you are ill you must obtain a medical certificate.

Failure to produce one will result in you receiving a ‘0’ on the exam. Makeup exams for excused

absences will be held on Thursday, February 2nd.

3. Sit in designated seats after entering the exam hall.

4. Do not communicate in any way with any other student once you have entered the exam hall.

5. No bags, electronic devices, food, or drink are allowed in the exam hall. These items must be left in

your locker or outside the exam room.

6. Bring your own writing materials to the exam hall. Writing materials will not be provided.

7. Writing materials must be carried in a transparent pencil case or bag.

8. Remain silent throughout each exam and study session. Communication of any type, verbal or non-

verbal, is not permitted in the exam hall. Failure to do so is in violation of exam rules.

9. Face the front of the exam hall for the entire duration of the exam.

10. Remain in the examination room throughout the examination session, even if you finish the exam

early. Students will not be permitted to visit the bathroom during an exam session.

11. Full school uniform is required (male students clean shaven, female students no nail polish).

12. Allowed to go home ONLY after your last exam of the day if a Transportation Arrangement Form was

submitted by Tuesday 24th January. You may not leave school between exams.
