5. Go to the following website: www.britannica.com. Type the name of your entrepreneur in the search box and click GO. Type a paragraph about your entrepreneur including their name, business, and how they got started. Include training and college experiences and any prior work or business experience. Copy and paste a picture of your entrepreneur with your paragraph using text wrap: tight or square.

6. Go to the following website: http://www.fastfood.com/chains/default.aspChoose 5 fast food restaurants located in Cedartown or Rome. Right-click and copy and paste the logo into the appropriate cell. If the logo is not on this page, go to Google and type in the restaurant and LOGO. Example: McDonald’s Logo. Type the slogan in the appropriate cell. (If you don’t know it, visit their website) One example is done for you.

7. Identify parts needed for a business card. Enter the following information in a table.

Logo/Slogan Must include all of the information needed for the customer to be able to contact you.

8. You will create the following example business card. Follow the steps below. Create a text box 3 inches long and 2 inches tall. Use the ruler on the top and side as a

guide. (If your ruler is not visible, click on the VIEW tab and check Ruler.) Create the following business card: (Make sure you select NO SPACING) Go to Google and type: McDonald’s Logo. Right click on the logo and select

copy. Before you paste, make sure your insertion point is NOT inside your text box. Paste the logo. Change the text wrapping to “In Front of Text” and resize. Move

the logo to the upper right corner of your text box.

Click the border of your business card and press Control, D (Which stands for duplicate). Drag the business card to the right so that you have two. Duplicate the logo and drag to the desired position.

Continue to duplicate the business cards until your page if full. If you were printing business cards, this would save paper.

Create another set of business cards for the fast food restaurant of your choice.

9. On Your Own: Create an imaginary business. Create a business card containing the needed information. You will need to create your own logo. You can use Paint or Microsoft Word shapes, word art, or clip art for your logo creation. Come up with a slogan for your business.

10. A letterhead contains the business name and address at the top. It can also contain designs or the company’s logo or slogans. Go to Microsoft Publisher and choose a template from the “Letterhead” category. Insert the information about your imaginary company.

11. Some businesses use flyers to advertise their business in the surrounding cities. You will create an advertisement flyer in Microsoft Publisher. Choose a template and design a flyer including clip art, your slogan, and logo. Be creative.

12. Using Microsoft Publisher, create another set of business cards for your business so that you can see the difference in creating a business card from “scratch” in Word and creating a business card using a template in Publisher.

13. Choose THREE other categories in Publisher to promote your business. You could have a business calendar, a brochure, a newsletter, etc.
