Looking to fill your child’s summer with a fun, reliable, and exciting virtual camp experience? Leo Baeck Temple Religious School is here for you with Summer Camp Home to Home. Choose from six weeks of activities for children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade starting Sunday, June 21. We have something for everyone! Check out the activities below by grade level (based on the 2019-20 school year), followed by our calendar, and registration and fees on the pages that follow. Note: All sessions have a 5 student minimum GRADES 3-6 Art with Laurel (Weeks 1 & 2 MWF; Weeks 5 & 6 TTh, 10am-10:50am) Get your creative juices flowing and enjoy connecting with your friends while creating exciting new projects each day. We will provide all art materials for pickup at LBT the week before the session begins. Music & Games with Steve-O (Weeks 2 & 3 TTh, 10am-10:50am) Miss your favorite LBT tunes? Renew your spirits by singing together and bringing some of your own favorite songs to share while participating in fun musical games that only Music Steve-O could bring! Cooking with Shoshi (Week 3 MWF, 10am-10:50am) Join Shoshi as she shares some of her favorite recipes and walks you through her cooking secrets, as well as the traditions behind them. Recipes and ingredients list will be sent in advance. Yoga Flow (Week 1 TTh, 10am-10:50am) Stretch your body and relax your mind with these rejuvenating exercises. Each session will begin with an exploration of a Jewish value to set the intention. Yoga Sculpt (Week 4 MWF, 10am-10:50am) Miss your favorite sports activities? Join Max for this athletic workout that will keep you moving! Combines yoga poses with cardio movement and strength building. Creative Writing with Mark (Week 4 TTh; Week 5 MWF,10am-10:50am) Mark is back and teaching his beloved creative writing class! Learn how to write your own short stories and create imaginative characters and plots using our tradition’s story writing techniques as a guide. Photography (Week 6 MWF, 10am-10:50 am) Learn how to set up a shot and take beautiful photos with this hands-on class. The kids will learn the technical elements of photography, while using their creativity to become the ultimate photographer of the family! Hebrew Bootcamp (Weeks 5 & 6 MWF, 11:15am-12:15pm) Need an extra boost with your Hebrew? These sessions are for anyone who would like extra help refreshing and improving their Hebrew decoding and prayer skills. Choose from six weeks of activities for children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade starting Sunday, June 21. We have something for everyone!

GRADES K-2 - FREESunday Class (Sundays, 9:30am-10:10am)Join Chloe and Shoshi as we gather together to connect with one another, enjoy fun activities, and even do a little Jewish learning! ALL AGESMorning Blessings with Rabbi Berney (All Wednesdays, 9:30am) Start your morning off with expressions of gratitude and special blessings with Rabbi Berney. We could all use a little extra connection at this time, so enjoy this opportunity and make it part of your weekly routine! Students and families welcome!

Cooking (All Thursdays, 3pm)Cook with different members of the LBT community and learn some delicious new recipes while getting some words of wisdom and inspiration along the way. Recipes and ingredients list will be sent in advance.

LBRTY JR. (GRADES 3-6) YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES - FREESports Trivia (Tuesday, June 23, 3pm)Missing sports? Then take on this Sports Trivia event, where we’ll gather on Zoom and Kahoot and play all the sports trivia you can handle! There will be questions for novices and fanatics alike.

StopMotion Animation (Tuesday, July 7, 3pm)Have a knack for film-making, or want to tell a story in a unique way? Join us as we use the Stop Motion Studio app to make fun, EASY, stop motion animated shorts!

Scavenger Hunt Redux (Sunday, July 12, 11am)We had so much fun with our Scavenger Hunt during Spring Break, we’re back for Round Two! Join us as we hunt for all kinds of fun and crazy things around our own homes. Creativity is rewarded as well! LBRTY LITE (GRADES 7-8) YOUTH GROUP EVENTS - FREEEscape Room (Saturday, June 27, 8pm)Gather with your friends and work to complete tasks and solve puzzles to get out of our virtual Escape Room! $15/student*

H.O.R.S.E. Basketball Competition (Wednesday, July 1, 4pm)It’s just a good old-fashioned game of H.O.R.S.E., but in your own homes. Play in your driveway hoop, or make your own with a trashcan and any ball! We’ll go head to head to see who can slam it down like your favorite NBA players.

Trivia Redux (Wednesday, July 8, 8pm)So nice we’re doing it twice! Get ready for Round 2 of Trivia with your LBRTY Lite friends. Who can come out on top?

Skribbl.io (Monday, July 13, 4pm)It’s Pictionary: stay-at-home-style! Gather in small groups with your friends and compete in multiple rounds of online Pictionary.

Yoga with Max (Wednesday, July 22, 4pm)Stretch your body and relax your mind with these rejuvenating exercises.

Playingcards.io (Monday, July 27, 8pm)Choose from among Crazy Eights, Go Fish, Hearts, even Backgammon, Checkers, and others, and play in small groups against your friends! We’ll join up all together in the Zoom them split up into breakout rooms to play our favorite games online!

During these difficult times, we have made it a priority to establish a reduced rate that solely covers the cost of materials and staffing. See below for Summer Camp Home to Home pricing:

REGISTRATION & POLICIES

Prices listed are for the designated days above and cannot be separated on a per session basis.

We offer a rolling registration for Summer Camp Home to Home and you can sign up for one week up to six weeks. However, your registration must be received one week prior to the week(s) for which you intend to register, as it impacts our staffing. Please register as early as you can to secure your spot!

All sessions have a five (5) student minimum.

Grades are based on the 2019-20 school year.

Art includes all materials that will be available for pick-up at LBT.

All activities will take place via Zoom.

In the event of a cancellation, you may apply a one time only credit toward another class we are offering.

We welcome non-member families to participate in Summer Camp Home to Home. Feel free to share this with friends and have them contact us at [email protected] for non-member registration and fees.
