 • Entrance Scholarships (Post Secondary Institutions)

– Most post secondary institutions provide a space on their application form.– Some institutions require a separate application form, so inquire through the

institution’s admissions’ office or the institution’s website. • Websites

You may register your specific information ON-LINE with some of the sites listed below. They will keep you updated once you are registered or you may simply check sites for lists of scholarships.• www.studentawards.com• www.scholarshipscanada.com• www.canlearn.com• www.neads.ca • Contacts• Your employer, your parents’ employers, service clubs you belong to (or your parents),

insurance companies, banks, etc. Consider all connections you or your parents have, and ask if they have a scholarship program.

• Local/ School Scholarships• There are applications found in the Guidance Centre. Students may peruse the binder of

scholarships (original copies) in order by deadline date to see if they fit the criteria and then take the copy found in the file folders provided. You may also want to check out the SRHS website and go to the Guidance section,

Students need 17 credits to graduate.• English 111/112/113 – 2 credits• English 121/122/123• Math Foundations 110 or Fin. &Workplace Math 110•1 science credit – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Phys. Geo., Env. Science, Auto Elec. Syst., Intro. to Electronics, Robotics and Technology• Modern History 111/112/113 or FIMH 110• One Fine Arts or Life Role Development course:•Fine Arts - Vis. Arts, Music, Theatre Arts or Graphic Art and Design •Life Role Development - Family Living, Co-op, Outdoor Pursuits, Phys. Ed. Leadership, Wellness Phys. Ed., Entrepreneurship and Reading Tutor

5 credits must be grade 12 courses

• 9:10 – 9:25 am Introductions and Welcome• 9:30 – 10:00 –NBCC, Military, Direct to Work• Break 10:00 – 10:10 am• 10:10 -10:40 am - Walk about in the Gym• 10:40 – 11:10 am – University

Apprenticeship, Private Institutions

In your period 2 class, you will fill out the ballot below and hand back to your teacher. On Nov. 8,

you will attend be able to attend two sessions.
