ONCE UPON A TIME, CHALLES, A SPA RESORT…
From the thermal baths to the Château of the Counts of Challes, not forgetting the casino, relive the time when bathers came here to take the waters. The discovery of « The Queen of Sulphur » spring in the 19th century changed the fate of this small village that experienced an increased fame with the golden age of balneology.
This visit allows you to enter the thermal establishment where the most sulphurated water in Europe, rare and precious, disseminates its therapeutic virtues. The wander among parks and buildings steeped in history ends at the Château of the Counts of Challes, where turrets and chimneys are evidence of the past of this seigneurial residence dating from the 15th century.

CHAMBERY TREASURES: THE CASTLE AND THE OLD TOWN
Go and explore the City of the Dukes.
The former capital of the States of Savoy reveals its secrets to those who dare explore beyond the main streets. Follow the guide through the castle : he will tell you the history of the counts and the dukes who ordered its construction.
You will reach the Sainte Chapelle, where their unions with the biggest royal families of their time were celebrated, under the light of the Renaissance stained-glass window. Along the paths, the guide will lead from squares to interior courtyards.
Behind the facades hide a thousand picturesque details: spiral staircases in the houses of the « chambérienne » nobility, wrought iron decor, 19th century and contemporary trompe-l’œil. Hear about the adventures of the general of Boigne, in whose memory was built the famous fountain of the elephants. More than in a simple visit, it is for a meeting with the city which we invite you. A discovery to be extended by a visit to a district, a monument, a site of contemporary heritage...

« GRAND CARILLON » CONCERT!
Chambery is certainly the only town to offer groups the possibility of brightening up their visits with a carillon concert!
Located in Yolande Tower, which flanks the chevet of the Holy Chapel of the castle, the Grand Carillon was built in 1993. With its 70 bells, it is the largest collection of bells in France, and is one of the eight largest in the world. Its homogeneity of sound and innovative carbon fibre mechanics give it its own personality and a unique sound.

The museum of Fine Arts of Chambery presents a mostly Italian collection spanning from the end of the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century. It also exposes works allowing visitors to understand the history of the arts in Savoie throughout the centuries. All year round, the museum offers a programme of temporary exhibitions and cultural events. Opening every day from 10 am till 6 pm, except Mondays and public holidays. Jean-Jacques Rousseau stayed in the Charmettes valley with Madame de Warens between 1736 and 1742. Located on the outskirts of the city in a preserved natural site, the Charmettes house is a formative place which had a profound impact on the personality of this great writer of the Age of Enlightenment.

For nearly thirty years horses have lived and worked by our side in the Aventure Zingaro. They are the inspiration for our creations, the engine of our desire. In
contact with them, we have learnt to become more wild to receive the lessons that they wanted to teach us and to understand that they are « a memorial part of ourselves » (Michel Onfray)
For this last creation, I wish to celebrate them as the real actors of this original « equestrian theatre » … To show a ritual without memory, a ceremony where the audience will be surprised to see the animal as the reflection of humanity.
We must learn to lose our ego, our individual body for the benefit of a shared, anonymous body … To be no more than a background -presence and become « exhibitors
of horses » and with them, create new lands …
