The FMA Informative wants to thank Jun Paliangayan for sharing the experience of Grand Maestro Jon Bais seminar tour on the east coast and Canada. Grand Maestro Bais works in the middle east and only has few opportunities to come back home to San Francisco, CA., to see his family. It was really a great opportunity for his Organization to be able to have some of his time so they could continue to upgrade their knowledge and skills in Bais Tres Mano.

Legacy Seminar on April 13, 2013 Arriving from his duties in the Middle East Grand Maestro first arrived home in San Francisco, California and attended the Legacy Seminar on April 13, 2013 at the San Joaquin Delta College Blanchard Gym. 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA., with his son Lakan Master El-mer Bais. Upon completion of the Legacy seminar Grand Maestro Bais de-parted heading east to commence the World BTM/KSK FMA Heritage Network Global FMA Seminar Tour.

World BTM/KSK FMA Heritage Network Global FMA Seminar Tour

Grand Maestro Jon Bais arrived at the BWI Airport, met by Officer Alex (Asiong) Hashagen and Lakan Datu Jun Paliangayan. Dinner was at the home of Lakan Datu Paliangayan and prepared by his wife, Dayang Eleanor. Every-one were so excited for the quick

safe return of Grand Maestro Bais and the East Coast and Canada BTM/KSK FMA Heri-tage Network Branches were all eager to see Grand Maestro Bais in live action again. They all went to Washington DC and New York City for sightseeing and qual-ity bonding time prior to the Global FMA Seminar kick off. April 18, 2013 Thursday, Lakan Maestro

Bob Light sponsored the seminar at the Honeygo Gym at Baltimore, MD. After Lakan Datu Paliangay-an introduced Grand Maestro Bais and said his short message, Lakan Guro (Taois Monk) Don Bradford, MD. Commissioner of BTM/KSK

FMA Heritage Branch started the seminar with stretching exercises. Followed by Lakan Guro (Inter-nalist) JR Rodriguez, Commis-sioner of Metro DC, introduced the Tao-Yin Water and Fire Standing Meditation (Pag-nilay-nilay), the mental and physical conditioning, by product of martial arts training. Grand Maestro Bais taught the realistic combat arts of BTM/KSK FMA Heritage such as, Trangkada (Locking Techniques), Baklid (throwing and take-down strategies), and weapons disarming tactics, just to name a few. Sports-Style of Kalis-Eskrima-Arnis Global FMA was introduced as well. After the seminar all had a welcome Sama-Sama party for Grand Maestro Bais and cel-ebrated Lakan Datu Paliangayan

birthday at the same time. Grand Maestro Bais presented to Lakan Datu Paliangayan the Lapu-Lapu (KaliPulako) Award which was a surprise and the sword given by Lakan Guro (Internalist) JR. Lakan Datu Paliangayan felt very humbled and very grateful for their kind gestures. We really appreci-ated the presence of Lakan Mae-stro Wesley Crisostomo of Utimate Eskrima Filipino Martial Arts Int’l. and Lakan Master James Mao of Internal Arts Specialist. The following day, Grand Maestro Bais and Lakan Datu Paliangayan went to the Planet Fit-ness Gym for a short workout and

they met a fellow Global FMA practitioner Lakan Meastro Bobby Ladra. Then proceeded to the Bal-timore Inner Harbor to see the Venue of Grandmaster Mustafa Del Ali Rawl-ings’ Charm City Nationals Open Martial Champion-ships at the Baltimore Con-vention Center which will be this coming October 12, 2013. Grandmaster Ali sponsored the Training the Trainers Seminar Program at his BTXR2 Fitness

& Martial Science Complex at Elkridge, Maryland. Lakan Datu Paliangayan started the seminar with the BTM/KSK FMA Pag-kali-kali (Eagle’s Way Anino Shadow) fighting and stretching methods and warm-ups. Grand Maestro Bais focused more on Baraw drills, disarming, defensive and offensive maneuvers, and BTM/KSK FMA foot work, the Kuatro and Otso Kantos (angle moves). All the participants were given a certificate of participa-tion and were very impressed with Grand Maestro Bais lethal BTM/KSK FMA techniques, tactics, and militaristic strategies. ed by Grand Maestro Bais before the seminar. Prior to their trip to Canada, while they were drinking green tea and resting at home, they watched the movies, Argo and Hurt Locker. April 20, Saturday the day of Lakan Datu Paliangayan birth-day, Grand Maestro Jon, Lakan Guro Sosing (Jay) Tipaklong and Lakan Datu Paliangayan drove early in the morning going to Ontario, Canada for a mini reunion and a seminar as well. They trav-eled across Pennsylvania, up-state New York with occasional snow and mixed with rain. Lakan Datu Rollie Descargar, Global Vice and President of Canada BTM/KSK FMA Heritage Branch and his Lakan Guro’s and stu-dents met them at the Niagara Falls Canada side and started their quality bonding time. After the coffee/tea break, they took picture at the Falls and proceeded to the color-ful and beautiful residence of

for them for dinner. April 21st Sunday at 8am until 12 noon, Grand Maestro Jon Empowered the Canada martial

arts community with his ex-ceptional knowledge and skills in Global FMA. Lakan Guro Mark Anastacio started the seminar with brief exercises. The seminar was very intense and nerve rocking to the par-ticipants due to the way Grand Maestro Bais used realistic situations and applications of the lethal art. Several partici-pants of different disciplines attended and supported the

event. Lakan Datu Descargar received the Lapu-Lapu (KaliPu-lako) Award given by Grand Maestro Bais. After the seminar, Lakan Guro Mark and Grand Mae-stro Sam gave Grand Maestro Bais and Lakan Datu Paliangay-an gifts and they loved it. Grand Maestro Bais distributed the certificates of participation, there was picture taking, socializa-tion and a delicious lunch prepared by Dayang Bheng at their home. The following day, Grand Maestro Bais and Lakan Datu Paliangayan went back home to Baltimore, Maryland. After twelve hours of driving, they arrived home safe and sound. Dayang Eleanor prepared calamari with spicy sauce, the favor-ite dish of Grand Maestro Bais (Squid-Pusit, Lakan Datu Pa-liangayan’s son Chris call it baby octopus). Until the time for Grand Maestro to leave to go back to his

family in San Francisco and then return to the Middle East a little sight seeing was done. So they all headed off to the capital Washington DC. April 24th at 5pm, was the flight of Grand Maestro Bais returned

back California. Lakan Guro Sosing (Jay) and Lakan Datu Paliangayan dropped him at the BWI Airport. We had a short farewell drink as a celebration at DuClaw Bar at the airport and wished Grand Maestro Bais a safe trip and a sad good-bye until next time.
