W I T N E S S E T H:

The parties agree as follows:

1. HERCULES t ugfi its Synthetics Department will deposit withGRANTEE the sum of , Dollars ($ 11000.00 )which GRANTEE smll use to‘ support field testi and evaluati‘on studiesrelative to Wwork withm fins nan plus surfactant.

The studies shall be conducted in accordance with the attached outline entitled

2. The studies shall be conducted under the direction of the GRANTEEwho shall furnish its facilities, plan and supervise the conduct of thestudies, record the data, and report the results thereof. HERCULES willsupply, without charge, the agricultural chemicals to be studied hereunder.

3. Upon completion, the GRANTEE will submit to HERCULES five copiesof a full and final report of the results obtained. The report shall beprepared in accordance with the.reporting standards heretofore establishedby GRANTEE and.mailed to Synthetics Department, Agricultural Chemicals,Hercules Pewder Company, Hercules Tower, 910 Market Street, Wilmington,Delaware 19899 . <

h. The GRANTEE shall have the right to publish the results obtainedfrom the studies conducted hereunder. Acknowledgment of the support receivedfrom HERCULES will be made if desired. HERCULES shall be free to publish theresults any time after they are published by the GRANTEE. No publication byHERCULES referring to the results of these investigations shall imply theGRANTEE's endorsement of any product or producer.

5. The materials which HERCULES will furnish for the use of theGRANTEE hereunder may be toxic to man and injurious to property if notproperly handled. The GRANTEE acknowledges that the selection of testprocedures and equipment and the assignment and supervision of personnelto be used in the conduct of the studies hereunder rest in its sole andexclusive discretion. GRANTEE enters this Agreement with full recognition

of its responsibility to observe all necessary safety precautions in theselection of test equipment and supervisionof personnel.‘ Insofar as itis authorized to do so by law, the GRANTEE assumes entire responsibilityfor the safety of its property and its own employees and others who maycome in contact with the materials furnished for its use hereunder.

'6. In conducting studies hereunder, the GRANTEE shall use its ownjudgment and not be subject to the control of HERCULES, nor shall GRANTEEbe an agent of HERCULES.
