What HEF Likes to Fund• (#1 PRIORITY) - Large number of students

impacted • Partnering

– Combine your grant with others to impact more students

• Beyond district funding– Will not fund items the school should provide

• Innovative• Grant amounts

– Break down into multiple grants or years- If full funding is not available, partial funding is an option.

Skills targeted• Skip the educational jargon• Be sure the grade level and

educational area the project will reach is well defined

• Grant should not have your name on it– Your name is on cover page only

What Happens Then?• Grants Numbered

– Cover page removed

• Grant Committee– Members– All grants are reviewed individually &

scored– Grants given out until money runs out
