TAG Symbol

The symbol for The Arts Guild consists of the organization’s acronym with the name spelled out below. The Arts Guild is a community arts center, and the logo represents the organization’s connection to the arts by its artistic typography in the acronym and its use of color (the yellow “T” and blue “G” combine to make the green “A” in the center).

Apply the logo on every piece of extermal communication. Please maintain the integrity of the logo by keeping the acronym and the name together as a solid piece.

When budget allows, use all three TAG colors. If necessary, the logo can be transformed into black, or, if only one color is to be used in reproduction, let it be TAG green.

Use of Space and Reproduction

Do not combine the TAG logo with other logos, symbols, or copy.

As displayed, position the logo at least ¼” away from other objects. Allow the logo to stand by itself, preserving a neutral ground. Avoid cluttering the logo with photos or any other illustrative material.

Reproduce the symbol from the provided files. Do not alter the logo by redrawing, reshaping, or tracing.

TAG Logotype

The TAG logotype visually distinguishes TAG from competitors and serves as an indication of consistency and quality. It always accompanies the TAG logo. Typeset “The Arts Guild” as Century Gothic.

Do not substitute Century Gothic with other typefaces. Do not alter the logotype by redrawing, reshaping, or tracing. Reproduce the logotype from the provided files. The approved logotype colors are black or TAG green.

Color

The official colors of the TAG logo are TAG yellow (C 8%, M 10%, Y 79%, K 0%), green (C 43%, M 14%, Y 87%, K 0%), and blue (C 89% M 59% Y 22% K 4%). Apply these colors to all stationery, signage, and advertisements when budget allows. If only one color is to be used, let it be TAG green.

A consistent application of these colors reinforces the public image of TAG. Through proper implementation, the colors are an important identification element increasing audience recognition.

Typography

The official typeface of TAG is Century Gothic. All printed materials and signage should be typeset in Century Gothic and its various weights and sizes. The type is available in Regular, Italic, Bold and Italic Bold. Choose the most appropriate weight and style based on size, reading distance, and type color. Century Gothic Regular will be the most often used style. The planned coordinated use of type will provide a unified appearance to all communication materials.

For consistency and legibility, follow these guidelines for leading and the size of type. The space between lines must be at least as great as the space between words on a line. The minimum type size for Century Gothic is 8 point.

Letterhead and Typing Format

TAG stationery is the primary means of visual identification for the organization. Every envelope, fax, business card, note card and letterhead represents TAG and serves as a visual reminder of the organization’s commitment to its mission as a professional organization.

The typing format is flush left, ragged right, with an extra line of space between paragraphs. Begin the dateline 2 ¼” from the top. Place a single carriage return after the dateline, address, and letter greeting. Both the left and right margins are 1” wide. Second sheets will follow the same format.

All TAG letterhead uses the same format. Each page is 8 ½” by 11” in size and reproduced in the three colors, TAG Yellow, TAG green and TAG blue.

Place a 1” wide TAG symbol in the upper left corner, ½” from the top edge and 9/16” from the left edge. Place a solid ½” TAG green bar at the bottom of the page and place the contact information, typeset Century Gothic 14 point, centered both vertically and horizontally within the bar. As shown below, there should be sufficient enough space between the telephone number, address, and web address so that the contact information is flush with both the left and right margins.

Business Card

The standard TAG business card measures 2” by 3 ½”. Print the business card in the same three colors as the logo.

Place a 1 ¾” TAG logo on the left side of the card, 1/8” from the top edge and 1/8” from the left edge. Typeset the copy in Century Gothic Regular, 9 point, except for the employee’s name, which should be Century Gothic Regular, 13 point, and their title, which should be Century Gothic Regular, 7 point. Place the contact information text, right justified, 1/8” from the right edge. The block of text should be 5/16” from the top edge, and end 1 3/16” from the top edge so that the text is aligned with the top of the “G” and bottom of the organization’s name in the logo.

Place a ½” TAG green bar at the bottom edge of the card and place the employee’s name and title centered vertically and horizontally.

Envelope

The #10 envelope is the standard envelope used by TAG and measures 9 ½” by 4 1/8”. They paper stock should match the letterhead and the colors in the logo should also be the same three colors as in the logo and letterhead.

Place a 1 11/16” wide TAG logo in the upper left corner, 1/8” from the top edge and 1/8” from the left edge. Typeset the address in Century Gothic Regular, 12 point and position the text, right aligned, 1 13/16” from the left edge and 13/16” from the top. Place a ½” TAG green bar at the bottom edge of the envelope.

Note Card

The TAG thank you card measures 3 ¾” by 6”. It should be used for personalized correspondence. Reproduce the watermark image from the provided files. Position the watermark so the top of the “G” is 3/8” from the top edge and the watermark is 5/8” from the left edge.

Place a ¼” TAG green bar at the top edge of the card and a ½” TAG green bar at the bottom edge of the card.

Place the phrase “Thank You!” in English Vivace, 90 point, 1 3/8” from the top edge of the card and 3/16” from the left edge of the card.
