DIRECTOR’S ADDRESS

Dear aspiring PGDM,

I take great pleasure in inviting you to GIDC

ROFEL Business School (GRBS). GRBS - a

Business School which understands that the

complex and dynamic nature of business

requires individuals who can develop and apply

their professional and personal capabilities to

lead and manage existing and future

enterprises.

GRBS seeks to provide you with the

knowledge, experience and skills to achieve

such goals within a people-oriented learning

environment. I believe that in doing so, GRBS

can help you to truly enhance your potential

and accelerate your career.

Here, we work assiduously to educate and train

builders and leaders, not simply managers.

Our innovative curricula delivers as you would

expect, the essential knowledge of business

functions - Human Resource, Finance, Marketing,

Organizational Behavior, Operations, Business

Law, etc., but in a unique way. The difference

here is that we help to shape our students'

capacity to think both functionally and

systematically. That is, our graduates know

how to deal well with the measurables at hand

and also understand the effects of businessdecisions across the organization and the

society at large.

GRBS offer China Study Tour for the PGDM

students is a part of the curriculum to give them

adequate exposure to Global Economy and

International Business. Study tour is also an

extension of the MOU with the Hebei University

of Economics and Business in China whereby

students will undergo a Certificate Course in

Hebei University during the Study tour and will

also have Industrial visits in Beijing, Shanghai

and Suzhou.

The college is located in Vapi which has many

strategic advantages due to its proximity to

industrial centers and Mumbai - the business

capital of India. Vapi's strategic location has

been a source of strength on the Mumbai -

Ahmedabad Highway, very close to the sea

resorts of Daman and the hilly forest reserves

of Silvassa.

Thus, the GRBS PGDM program is about the

power of ideas to enhance what you know, how

you perform and your ability to succeed now

and in the future.

“Be the change that you want to see in the world.”

- Mohandas Gandhi

The program develops influential business

leaders who are prepared to lead using these

new skills and make a meaningful change in

the corporate world.

 ABOUT GRBS

The GIDC ROFEL Business School (GRBS)

is a unique partnership between Gujarat

Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC)

and Rotary Foundation for Education and

Learning (ROFEL). The land and building

has been provided by GIDC and the

B-School is managed by the ROFEL Trust.

GRBS is a B-School which caters to the

growing need for professional managers in

India and abroad. This is an AICTE (All India

Council for Technical Education) approved

two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in

Management (PGDM) with an intake of 60

future leaders.

Our PGDM programme has distinctive

features that make it more relevant to the

industry needs. The relevance of the

curriculum, the quality of the course in terms

of its content and delivery and even its

improved evaluation methods, differentiate

this B-School from the others.

The PGDM programme has been designed

to be flexible enough to meet the needs of

industry through its emphasis on practice

orientation, global business perspectives

and integration of knowledge management

with the traditional curriculum.

Our two years full time PGDM programme is

not only equivalent to MBA but has many

value additions beyond the scope of MBA.

Our Mission

GRBS mission is to educate and prepare

young minds for leadership in business and

community. We seek to accomplish this by

building a liberal academic foundation and

enhancing communication, analytical and

technological skills of students throughindividual attention, intellectual growth and

applied learning.

Our Values

Underpinning the mission are these

values:

Disciplined inquiry, reasoned judgment

and responsible citizenship engendered

by a liberal arts curriculum. Honesty, integrity and a strong work

ethic.  A strong relationship with the business

community that recognizes the mutual

interests that unites us. Supportive student programmes which

focus on their career, personality

development, long pursuit of knowledge

and understanding through continued

learning and development.   A learning-centered approach to

professional education in which the

faculty leads inquisitive students to

understand, appreciate and accept the

managerial concept and philosophy.

number of prestigious institutions.

These institutions are partnering with us in

our endeavor to create an industry

academia interface. We propose to leverage

these partnerships to bring a fusion of

innovations, creativity and business

applications through various executive and

community development programmes.

GRBS CONNECTIONS

With VMA

Our B-School has taken an initiative to start

the Vapi Management Association. Theobjective of the association is to enhance

interface among different management

professionals and act as a forum for

exchange of ideas and experiences.

China Study Centre

India’s B-Schools are the fountain heads of

future talent flow. Today, it is no longer

enough to know about the economies of

USA and Europe. Students ought to know as

much about China as they know about USA,

if not more. Hence, our B-School has started

a China Study Centre within its own

premises for promoting awareness about China.

The China Study Centre imparts

conversational Chinese language training to

all PGDM students. A working knowledge of

the Chinese language will be an added

advantage to our PGDM students as

compared to the other B-School students.

The objective is not only to impart Chinese

language education but also to assist the

industries of Vapi and its adjacent regions in

promoting their trade and business with

China by providing interpretations,

translation and trade promotion facilities in

collaboration with India China Chamber of

Commerce and Industry (ICCCI). This is the

one of its kind facility in the entire state of

Gujarat.
