Information regarding the Goodwill truck scheduled to be in Rolfe...
Due to the flooding taking place in the Sioux City region, Goodwill has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend their Ambassador program. Ambassador trailers planned for communities have been needed in other places for humanitarian purposes. The Ambassador program is hoped to be back up and running this fall, but until flood waters recede and the clean-up is well underway, they simply have no way of knowing what the need for assistance will be. As soon as the program is restarted and a trailer is scheduled, the community will be notified.
Temporary location - gazebo corner & in front of bank.
NEW this year - FLEA MARKET first Thursday of each month
Rolfe Public Library Thanks Benefactors
Rolfe-area residents who have not visited the Rolfe Public Library recently don’t know what they’ve been missing. Our grade-school patrons in particular have been having a great time on new computers provided through a generous grant from the Pocahontas County Foundation. All six of the old patron computers have been completely replaced – new CPUs, new monitors, new keyboards – new everything! In addition to running better and faster on the Internet, all of the computers are equipped with Windows 7 and Office Professional Plus 2010.
With help from Northwest Communications, the funds went considerably further than originally hoped, and installation of the software and new equipment was fast and smooth.
We are fortunate to have these dedicated and caring organizations in our midst to fund and help guide the library’s efforts to provide materials and services for area residents. These funds and services have not been awarded to benefit the library or a particular segment of the population. They have been provided to the library so that everyone might benefit.
Come to the Rolfe Public Library soon and see what these groups have done for you.
