We are a welare nation because we look to the govern-ment to meet a need that can only be met through a meaningul

relationship with Jesus! We languish in Spiritual poverty thinkingthe need can be met socially, economically or politically!

Te greatest threat to any amily, organization or nation is al-ways rom within. Sadly, in the case o our reedoms, the enemiesare well meaning but misinormed idealists, the selsh and those

with personal agendas they desire to impose on others, blind tothe consequences o their actions.

Trough a deliberate process our understanding o reedomhas become so warped that in attempting to protect our currentreedoms we are taken into mass captivity! By redening ourounding athers ideals, those who seek our demise use our ig-norance against us. We have been manipulated to deend andnance the very eorts designed to bring about our countrys de-mise!

When our ounders talked about religious reedom they weretalking about Christian reedom. History proves that reedom oreligion does not mean reedomrom religion. Te ounding a-thers did not mean to prevent prayer in school, Congress or other

public settings. Tey meant the government could pass no lawspreventing or limiting the reedom o religion, which is the oppositeo how reedom o religion is interpreted today. In its original

use it meant the government could not interere with the church.In the United States, the term is an oshoot o the phrase,

wall o separation between church and state,as written in TomasJeersons letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. reedom have worked to undermine the values that make ournation unique. In time our greatest enemies realized they couldoverthrow America not by orce, but by deception. Te great de-ception at work in our country today is the ignorance o the es-sential role spiritual values and morality play in maintaining our

reedom, the lack o a unctional knowledge o our Constitutionand an honest interpretation o American History.

Humanism

At the root of all anti-God movements is the ideology of Hu-manism that takes on many forms, from the open opposition toGod to a watered-down Christianity. Humanism places man atthe center of the equation, and the source of all wisdom. Man be-comes a god unto himself. Humanism was born in the Garden ofEden when Adam gained the knowledge of good and evil, seekingto be god of his own world! Every religion that has deviated fromthe truth of God has done so on the basis of personal revelation repeating Adams original sin and the expression of Humanism.

Communism (organized humanism) hates God and is calledthe opiate o the masses. When people have an abiding trust inGod they experience grace, an internal strength that cannot be

conquered by outside orces. It is always the goal o a communistpower to disconnect man rom a relationship with the true andliving God. Tis can be done by creating a religion or by inect-ing Christianity with humanist concepts until it has a orm ogodliness but no power! When true worship o God is removedthrough alse science, twisted history, the educational system,public humiliation and eventually persecution, the people are

Governments need war, calamity or threat o impending di-saster to keep the people dependent on them. Politicians buildtheir election on pointing out or creating a crisis and then o-ering the solution (a popular saying in politics is, Never let acrisis go to waste.). Tose who depart rom this strategy to deal

with the real issues seldom win. Americans have become so de-tached rom an intimate relationship with God that they quicklyrespond to the codependent tactics o master manipulators muchmore readily than the simple solutions revealed in Gods Wordand historic evidence

Many churches have become so humanistic they have noconcept o ollowing Jesus as Lord. Tey have become so control-

ling that the average believer has little capacity to hear or ollowGod rom his own heart. Tese believers have allen into thecodependent trap o seeking someone or something else to givethem what no one but God can supply!

Legalism and mysticism are so prevalent that people have nosense o how to apply Gods Word to everyday lie. Beyond a list

o dos and donts the Bible is pretty much irrelevant to the major-ity o those who call themselves Christian. Tereore, the wisdomand inuence o Gods Word is virtually absent rom the politicalpositions o the church! People vote their choice with little or nosubmission to the Lordship o Jesus as expressed in Gods Word!

Te Party Spirit and Partisan Politics

In the book o Galatians the Apostle Paul warned against theworks o the esh. In that list o destructive behaviors was a party

spirit. Tis is a person who goes along with his party, group orculture (Democrat or Republican, Baptist or Methodist, Catholicor Charismatic). Paul then warns about the destruction o sowingto the esh.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; orwhatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For

he who sows to his esh will o the esh reap cor-ruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will o theSpirit reap everlasting lie(Gal 6:7-8).

When we vote along party lines with no knowledge o theindividual candidates, we are participating in a work o the esh(a party spirit). I we ignore Gods wisdom on this, the end will

be corruption and destruction.We Are the Governments Advisors

Our government needs wise advisors. Lobbyists, special inter-est groups and corrupt politicians surround it. Washington poli-ticians live in a logic so ar removed rom Main Street Americathey have no clue what we want or what makes the country work.

We must be theircounselors by voting intelligently. Our rightand responsibility to vote makes us as the advisors to the King,or in this case, our government. Te wisdom o the men aroundhim was one o the actors that made the reign o King Davidso eective. Te rst book o Chronicles (12:32) says they had,understanding o the times, to know what Israel ought to do. Wecan restore this wisdom and understanding to our government.

Te poor state America is in today is a result o lies replacingthe truth. Te special interest groups that counsel Washington(inuence political decisions) dont know and dont care aboutthe consequences o their passions upon the nation. Tey justwant what they want! Tose o us who can make a dierence havebecome complacent and neglected our right and responsibility to

manage our reedom! We have trusted others in areas we shouldnever have given our trust. We have asked politicians to lead uswhen we should be leading them!

Republican, Democrat or Believer

Tis is not about Democrats and Republicans; it is aboutbeing a believer, committed to the Lordship o Jesus. Tis meanswe make all o our lie decisions based on Gods Word not ourpersonal preerences. Te moral ailure o this country and othe world at large has been a ailure o the church collectively.

But the ailure o our government has been the ailure o believ-ers individually. We have surrendered our power to those whohate our country, hate our reedoms and hate our God! We didntthink or ourselves. We hired people to think or us, control ourmoney, education and economy and never checked to see whatthey were doing. We made excuses or reckless, idiotic decisions.But excuses dont pay the bills and payment is about to come due!

Like any truth that has the power to set you ree, there isplenty o opportunity to be oended, whether Republican orDemocrat. But I am pleading with Christians everywhere to giveup their blind political alliances and vote based on Gods Word,and based on the track record o those who ask or our trust! Besure o this, their speeches are no indicator o their track record.

Teir voting record belies their speeches and reveals their trueagenda. I you do not know the candidates voting record, you aremaking some o the most important decisions o your lie withyour eyes closed.

We Are A Republic Not A Democracy

I heard a caller comment on a radio talk show recently that

shook me to my core. Te show host was taking commentsabout what it meant to have reedom. Te caller said, We are ademocratic nation. Tereore, reedom is what the majority o peoplewant.I cant tell you in how many ways this statement is socially,politically and morally incorrect. I was reminded that the igno-rance o members o both parties is ultimately responsible orthe corruption o our nation - ignorance o our history, o our

political process, and why and how our government is organizedas it is. Be sure o this, the government o our nation was organizedto acilitate the optimal environment or reedom or all men.

Tis is not a Republican vs. Democrat issue! Tis is an Amer-ican citizen issue. Tis is about a gross ignorance plaguing ourcountry, especially or the last sixty years. Tis small book ad-dresses important concepts that will help us, as believers and citi-zens, understand how we should approach political issues.

Te rst thing we must understand is this: our country is not

a democracy; it is a republic! A republic is governed by a Consti-tution not by the majority vote. We do have a democratic processor electing ofcials and passing laws. However, as a republic, wecannot pass laws that violate the Constitution, nor should weallow any politician to hold ofce or pass laws that violate theConstitution.

Our Constitution was written to provide us with reedom ascitizens. Te Constitution was not written to govern the people.Te Constitution was written to govern the government!It was writ-ten to make it clear that government could not inringe uponour God given rights and reedoms. It was written to protect thecitizens rom the government.

Tere is a movement in both parties called Progressivism.

Tat is such a positive sounding term; ater all who would wantto be archaic or out o date? Te Progressiveseel we should up-date our Constitution to make it more relevant with the times.People ignorantly buy into this concept only because they do notunderstand the purpose o the Constitution and the reedom itprovides.

I recently heard a politician say, our ounders could not haveknown about the Internet and the types o laws we must pass toprotect our people. We nod our heads to this logic because it isobviously true. But the lie is in the act that the Constitution is notabout governing the people, it is about governing the government.Our ounders didnt need to understand the Internet they onlyneeded to understand human nature and its endless desire to rule

over others. So the Constitution, which cannot address the Inter-net, does say, no matter what comes, you cannot pass laws thatviolate the reedoms o the people.

Our ounding athers understood the oppression o tyranni-cal kings and dictatorial rulers. Tey had seen, rst hand, whathappens when all power belongs to the state. Tey realized thati the government had too much power it would always abuseit, and it would always enslave its citizens. Tereore, the idea olimited government was woven throughout our Constitution asthe only way to ensure that our nation would remain ree.

A New Level of Christian Responsibility

We have political reedoms that were unheard o in the bibli-cal times and thereore are not directly addressed in Scripture.One thing that is addressed throughout the Bible, especially inthe parables o Jesus and in the New estament epistles is that

our ability to experience reedom is in direct proportion to ourwillingness to accept personal responsibility! In a country thatgives us the opportunity to express our political choices, votingis one o our highest orms to personal responsibility. Forsakingpersonal responsibility and expecting a good outcome is idealis-tic, nave and ungodly!

We not only have the responsibility to vote, we have the re-

sponsibility to vote with political intelligence and spiritual con-gruency with Gods Word. As American citizens we should voterst and oremost in ways that acilitate the opportunity or spiri-tual reedom and godly values. We cannot violate Gods Wordin our political positions. Secondly, as citizens we should alwaysvote in ways that uphold the Constitution o the United States.(I recommend Hillsdale College ree Constitution 101 course.)

Free Enterprise

In the United States, we have systematically been ed misin-ormation about our ounding athers. In spite o the propaganda,the values o our ounders and ree enterprise have maintainedour reedom. Free enterprise, like any system, is not perect. It is

not always humane. But there is a reason ree enterprise is crucialto our individual liberties. When all is said and done, ree enter-prise keeps money in the hands o the people.

Some who do not understand economics talk about the cor-ruption o the small percentage o Americans who control thecountrys wealth. What they ail to see is this: i the governmentgets control o the money the countrys wealth will be controlledby an even smaller, more corrupt group o people. Te uniqueeature about this group is that the government does not makeany moneyorthe people they only take moneyrom the peo-ple. Te more money the government gets, the bigger it grows.Te bigger it grows the more money it takes to sustain it, whichmeans there is no end to taxes.

Even when greedy men control the money, their desire tomake more money causes them to create more jobs. Tey mayget an unair share o the money, but at least they create some-

thing as a result. Greed is wrong, but so is oppressive governmentand social programs that produce generations o people with nocondence or dignity. Free enterprise was written into the abrico our nation, because nancial reedom is essential or personalreedom. Our country has always had the largest middle class inthe world and it is the middle class that keeps a country working,productive and ree. Primarily ree enterprise was Gods plan or

man rom the very beginning. He sent man rom the Garden intothe world and told him to be ruitul and multiply.

Choose Your Greed

Most Americans think Wall Street caused the collapse o thehousing market - one o the primary actors that led to our cur-rent nancial crisis. It wasnt Wall Street; it was government. Inthe name o social justice to the poor and underprivileged, thegovernment orced banks to lower their standards or home mort-gages and up the percentages that could be loaned against the val-ue o the property. In other words, a socialist economic conceptthat violated ree enterprise, biblical concepts o surety, commonsense and long standing proven business practices caused the col-

lapse. It wasnt the absence o government regulation that got uswhere we are today; it was the involvement o government in reeenterprise that collapsed our economy. And it was the same socialist

concepts that allowed the Fed to print money or a ailed stimulusthat urther devalued our dollar, pushing us urther rom a reemarket recovery! Now it is that same government telling us thati we give them more power, in the orm o regulations, they willonce and or all ree us rom the corrupt capitalists!

Te Enemy of America

Te true hatred o America is a spiritual issue that has to dowith our values and reedoms, and the godly oundation romwhich they were derived. America is not the beacon o righteous-ness it once was, but we are a nation that was built on the concepto GOD-GIVEN-FREEDOM, not government given reedom.Te nations that hate us embrace an anti-God, anti-Christ world.Americas destruction is necessary or their godless domination o

the world to succeed!

While we may have been led by godless men with corruptagendas our Constitution has kept us on enough biblically basedground to prove these are the only truths that can produce thelevel o reedom, prosperity and happiness we experience as a na-tion. Te enemy o God and man wants to destroy any mention

o God rom the ace o the earth.Troughout history we have been oered the idea o a uto-

pian world where everyone is happy and all o our needs are met.But this utopia always requires surrendering our reedom tosome humane leader who promises to do or man what onlyGod Himsel can do. Anyone who oers us a better world bythe rule o man is a deceiver. Anyone who oers utopia deniesthe biblical concepts o sel-rule within a limited government.Utopias deny the basic nature o man. In this generation the uto-pian promise has come through communism and its subsequentideologies.

Teir philosophies live on in the hearts o everyindividual who desires to see a godless world ruled by an elitegroup that believes they know what is best or mankind. Because America is more about an idea than a territory, ourenemy is not seeking to take away our land as much as it is seekingto destroy our God-based values. Communism and its oshootsare the enemies o the American idea! Communism, extreme so-

cialism, and progressivism in their various orms are Americas en-emies and enemies o God. Tis, by no means, absolves extremeright wing idealism o its demonically inspired ideas. Te extremeright seeks to exploit our reedoms to ulll its own agenda. Teextreme let seeks to exploit our reedoms to destroy us. Tis doesnot mean every individual in the extreme right or let believes heis an enemy o God or America. Jesus warned o those who would

kill and persecute His ollowers and honestly believe they are do-ing God a service.

Useful Idiots

Russian leader Vladimir Lenin used the term, useul idiots todescribe Soviet sympathizers in Western countries. Te Corruption of our Judicial System

Among the many goals the communists stated they would

pursue in order to destroy America was the breakdown o ourjudicial system. According to their own literature they would socorrupt our judicial system, create so many contradictory laws,and so rustrate the nation that people would give up hope oever receiving air treatment in court. Te rustration would orcepeople to revolt as the only option to receive air treatment.

oday our courts exercise power never given to them by theConstitution. Precedence seems to carry as much weight as theConstitution. Precedence works along an ever-shiting rule that,over time, ends up so ar removed rom its origin as to be consti-tutionally unrecognizable.

Our judges are being trained in international law as our poli-ticians attempt to undermine our autonomy and bring us underthe rule o international law. International law violates our sov-ereignty as a nation and ignores our Constitution. Both partiesdo it, and we let them! When we vote or a politician who hascompromised our sovereignty through international law we areconspirators in treason!

suits overwhelm our courts to such a degree that murders, rapistsand embezzlers are ree or years beore their day in court. In thename o airness, criminals have more rights and protection thanvictims. Te victim will seldom be recompensed or his or herlosses.

Te right to deend yoursel or your property, which is pro-vided in the Constitution, has been all but taken away. When wedo not have the right to protect our own amilies and property,that power is given to the state. In some states, i someone brokeinto your home and you killed him as he was attempting to rapeyour wie, you could be tried or murder. We have to prove that aburglar has the intent to harm us beore we can use deadly orce.Anyone who has lived on the streets knows that by the time you

We make special laws or those who are less ortunate, sowe have multiple standards. responsible or the wrong actions o the individual. Tereore,society must be changed to acilitate those who do wrong. Sadly,I see this spilling over into the church. Any church that is so outo touch with Gods values supports the humanism that opposesall that Jesus taught and died or, and calls it love!

One o the great aims o the letist agenda is the disarming oour nation. It is nearly impossible to overthrow a well-armed na-tion. Te only reason the Constitution gives us the right to bear arms

is or personal protection: protection rom those who would harmyou and PROECION FROM AN OU OF CONROLGOVERNMEN.

Tose who would disarm you want to make you believe guncontrol is or your protection. Tats why when someone breaksinto a movie theater with a gun and kills twelve innocent people

there is a movement to take guns away rom innocent people.Why isnt there an outcry or a speedy trial and severe punish-ment? Gods Word never indicated that leniency toward those

who do harm would reduce crime or protect the innocent!I people are marching in the streets or a speedy trial and an

assurance that such a person will NEVER be ree to repeat thosesame crimes we could solve the criminal problems that plague ourcountry. I people in that theater had been exercising their rightto bear arms and protect themselves there would have been a deadmurderer and ewer, i any, innocent dead. But i that happened,these same human rights groups would have been outraged thatyou protected the innocent and took the lie o a murderer. Teyare not interested in protecting anyone, they are interested incontroversy and chaos; they are interested in disarming America.

Regardless o how you eel about the right to own a per-sonal rearm, you should remember, it is nearly impossible to

overthrow a country where the citizens are armed. I am deeplyconvinced that i the laws gave citizens more o a right to deendthemselves against criminals, provided proper training, and didthorough background checks, crime in our country would belower than any place in the world. Te right to deend yoursel, toprotect your amily and your property is biblical and God-given.Statistics show that in the cities with the strictest gun laws, crime

is the highest. Statistics also show that the more we give intothese unbiblical, ungodly ideas the more crime and destructionabound in our nation. Te harsh laws o the Bible were not asmuch about punishing the oender as they were about protect-ing the innocent. In this socialistic, anti-God political world theinnocent are not protected!

Ater Katrina, the police went into areas disarming the citi-zens. Te story you will never hear is that criminals ollowed thepolice robbing the people who had surrendered their weapons.Because it is impossible or law enorcement to protect everyone,businesses were looted, and homes and individuals were robbed.But thankully, no criminals were injured in the process!

based on the average pay in their community or similarskills and would only have a retirement package comparableto their community. ALL civil employees should be subjectto regular perormance evaluations available to the public.

Tese are all laws we could pass i we had the will to do it. Iwe do not take control o the government, which is completely

within our rights, power, and responsibility the government willtake control o us in ways that are not within the rights and pow-ers granted in the Constitution or the Bible. I we do not actsoon, we lose the reedom to take such action!

America is not the problem. America is not its people or itspoliticians. America is the ideals and values written in our Dec-

laration o Independence and Constitution. Tose who do notembrace those ideals are anti-American; they are the problem!We have allowed these sinister orces to undermine our nationand orce us into economic, social and political upheaval. Tegroups that promote the problems, and then promote the rebel-lion against America as the solution arent attacking the problem,they are attacking the Constitution. Tey want us to surrender

our God-given rights as expressed in the Constitution so they canbe our god!

Te only thing that makes America not work is the abandon-ment o the ideas that made it great. We are too ignorant, sel-ish or apathetic to hold those in government responsible to theConstitution. So ater they destroy our nation by violating theConstitution they will tell us that the Constitution is the prob-lem. In our codependent need or the government to save us wewill throw away our Constitution and be enslaved by humanistideologies because the idea o reedom that was America is gone!

Gods People Have the Only Workable Solutions

It is not our job to orce everyone to accept our aith. But it

have chosen the parts we like and twisted the parts we dont like.We think we are more righteous than God (Job 34:5). We rejectthe Creators insight into the creation and then, in our pride andunbelie, we cant imagine why our world is not working! LikeProverbs says, we ruin our lives by our own oolishness and thenget angry with God (Pr 19:3). Calling on God is a meaningless,religious, deceitul endeavor unless we are willing to ollow His

Word or the solution! Our brilliant solutions contrived inde-pendent o His Word are proud and sel-righteous! I Jesus is ourLord, we look to the Word o God or ALL solutions to ALLproblems!

Ronald Reagan came to power pretty much as a result o theChristian vote. But today Christians are disempowered through

unbelie, apathy, ignorance and division, but mostly through alack o trust in Gods wisdom or governing lie and governments.

Christians can change the ate o the nation. According to arecent article, Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential electionby 10 million votes. According to the same article 30 millionevangelical Christians did not vote in that election. We could havebeen the deciding actor but we werent! We stood on the sidelines! I

we do that again, we will lose our country and our reedoms.

I understand the rustration o those 30 million voters. I eltin the last election that we had a decision between an idealisticegomaniac that was ully committed to changing America intohis athers dream o an extremely socialist country, or an ideal-ist right-wing warmonger who believed America should be the

worlds police orce. It wasnt much o a choice, but the choicethat was made has plunged our country into the deepest debtimaginable, betrayed our allies and put us in alliance with thosewho hate us and hate God!

it. Tat was the promise o this administration, We will unda-mentally change America.Because we did not look into Obamaspast we didnt realize what he meant by that statement. Does this make the Right in the right? No! But it makes theright the lesser o the two evils and buys us a little more time andreedom with which we could bring about change or everyoneexcept the extremists on either side. We are accomplices in the crimes against our nation when weail to vote responsibly. Voting without knowing the acts says,I believed the lie and never did my own homework.It says, Iam a useul idiot.Or it could say, I am more committed to myparty than I am to the Lord Jesus.As a disciple o the Lord JesusI must be willing to put aside my personal preerences, searchor truth and, as a citizen, to vote based on which candidates lieand record upholds the values in Gods Word. Te Idealism of the Church

Pauls admonition to pray or Kings and all who are in au-thority.(1 im 2:2) is or the benet o peace. It is only in peacethat we can serve God, spread the gospel and most eectively beabout the Fathers business.

Paul was not so oolish as to claim that all rulers were godly.But he still encouraged us to pray or them. In Pauls day the peo-ple couldnt vote; praying was all they could do. Voting gives us apower that ew Christians have ever known, but the idealism othe church actually makes us much like a special interest group.

Special interest groups pick their candidate based on one keyactor and close their eyes to other relevant actors. As such, we

will put someone into ofce that supports a doctrine or idea thatis important to us, although every other aspect o his political his-tory says he will take away our reedoms. So, like a special interestgroup, we preserve our interests while destroying our country.

o my knowledge, there has never been a President thatcould satisy all the interests o the church. So our only choice is

to choose what we will overlook and what we will over empha-size. It is time or us to see the bigger picture. WE ARE ALWAYSVOING FOR HE LESSER OF WO EVILS. We must real-ize that in many instances, not voting means putting someoneinto ofce by deault who may be a much greater risk to ourbelies and reedoms.

Many will not vote or Obama because he is in avor o gay

marriage and abortion. However, those same people opposeRomney on the basis o his Mormon background. Many Chris-tians will eel they have no choice and not vote. But we must re-member, in 2008 the 30 million Christian evangelicals that didntvote decided the election by deault.

We are not attempting to get a perect man in ofce. We are
